I've been searching and searching for a decent article on the Ryan Veep selection. Nothing but dreary stuff, but this is good. Richard Fernandez, of Belmont Club blog, said this:
The counterargument is that by picking Paul Ryan, Romney has decisively broken from Obama’s policy path. The selection of Ryan means Romney is no longer running as Obama-lite. He’s bet that the guys in no-man’s-land don’t want Government Cheese. They want a real job. They want a real future. They want to be citizens of the greatest country on earth again.
That's it, in a nutshell.
I'm content with the choice. We'll have a choice not an echo. It's may be impossible to say where the country is today, but I'm hoping that, if given a choice, the country will do the right thing. What we are doing now is not going to work in the long term. Either we fix our problems ourselves, or it will be fixed for us.
