One way or another, the Minnesota National Guard will be called up, but not to fight against ICE.
The real question is whether or not they will follow lawful orders. If they don't, we may have a real problem here.
Sympathy for an insurrection is insurrection in itself. So if Walz calls, there is going to be trouble with a capital T.

Yeah, I'd say. If Trump falters, he's done. If the left backs down, they are. Something has to give.
Consider the scene. The shooting involves a woman who was blocking traffic. This is an act of lawlessness in and of itself. Where were the local police?
The local police, no doubt, were ordered to stand down. Meanwhile, the lawless element can be disruptive as they pleased. One could argue that the local authorities are aiding and abetting lawlessness and disorder.
Now that somebody has been "kilt" ( a bit of Jasmine-speak there), we are to entertain their notion of wrong-doing by the Federal agent. The Federal Agent is there to enforce the immigration law, not to direct traffic. There are better ways to deal with an unjust law ( if that is their position) than to oppose the lawful enforcement of the law. Even if the law is not being properly enforced, this kind of "protest" isn't valid. Peaceful and orderly protest is fully supported by the law. Not disorderly conduct, and impeding a law enforcement officer. Certainly not in ignoring a lawful command to cease and desist. The result is somebody getting "kilt". Who's to blame for that? If you cannot support the enforcement of the law, and those who do it, where does that put YOU?
Of course the instigators are aware of that, and can be heard asking if they are police officers. Indeed, they are not. But they shouldn't have to be. The situation came as a result of the local authorities refusing to keep good order, which includes keeping the streets open, and unlawful and disorderly conduct from taking over the streets. This forced the agents to have to do the locals' jobs for them.
Some pols are calling for invoking the Insurrection Act. Meanwhile, Governor Walz is calling up the National Guard. Minnesota v US Federal Government? Seriously? Does this clown really want a Fort Sumter in order to avoid getting bad publicity about fraud in his state?
There is a potential for some really serious sheet here main.
By the way, this is not very good distraction from the fraud. This is even worse than fraud. This is insurrection. Fraud doesn't come with a death sentence. This could. People need to wise up here. People need to get a grip.

If the GOP cannot get themselves up enough to beat the likes of THIS, they need to drop out of any election for political office. This isn't worth addressing on the same level. It is the level of the 3 year old child.

This is an election year, and the posturing has begun. That is my initial take. On further examination, I note that a candidate for Texas' highly contested Senate seat, a certain Rep. Wesley Hunt, did not vote. Personally, I take that as a negative. But who knows with the GOP?
It looks to me like a party of super-squishes.
They may even eventually pass the stupid bill.
Can you count on the Senate? Maybe. But it shouldn't have gotten that far.

In my opinion, you have to ask what form of resistance can you take? This is kind of a cold war of nerves. The idea is to impress others of your cause. You cannot just impose your will on someone without appearing to be a tyrant.
Even in run-up to the Civil War, both sides were accusing each other of being the aggressor. When opposing sides are saying opposite things, only one of them can be right.
By the time the shooting starts, it may no longer matter.
The one difference between the Civil War in the nineteenth century, and the possible one here is that one side is not necessarily trying to leave the Union. But one side is definitely trying to nullify the law. Nullification DID precede secession in the nineteenth century. Will history repeat?
John C. Calhoun of South Carolina, espoused a nullification theory on the subject of tariffs back then. The comparable thing today is nullification of the immigration laws. It would seem that precedent favors the enforcement of the laws. If the opponents to the law's enforcement continue with their resistance, at some point a decision will have to be made with respect to the use of force.
We may be seeing that with Gov Walz calling out the Minnesota National Guard.
Walz cannot win this unless something else happens to make that possible.
This might not be as far-fetched as it would seem. There seems to be a lot of push-back within the GOP lately. Sides have to be taken. There's really no middle ground here.

Of course, the locals are in the wrong, but this is a deep blue state, with a population that is not likely to be very friendly towards the defendant ( should that be the case).

Still the most popular movie of all time, after adjusting for inflation. But there are those movies, ie. Avatar, which are closely behind. Just in time for the movie industry to crater. Wonder why? Well, modern movies are just a bunch of fake CGI video effects. The modern taste has embraced the fake as well as the culture has. Perhaps if they made movies the old-fashioned way, people would come back to the theaters. But that would make too much sense.
