New York Post: Don't believe the spin: The GOP still has the upper hand

I thought I'd share this story from the New York Post...

The GOP still has the upper hand

...So that I can comment upon it below:

What good is this upper hand when 35 of the caucus might as well be Democrats?

Pelosi's Orwellian Truth Commission

If the Senate approves this gambit by Pelosi, the Orwellian Commission will be tasked with finding truth it is proclaimed. In other words, truth will be the last thing that they'll find.

Instead of a quest for truth, it is a quest for power.

Power could go to the Democrats who will have succeeded in dividing the GOP against itself, if this is approved.

The GOP is making a mistake in playing its power games out in the open. The Never-Trumpers don't want to see Trump again. The Trump-train is itching to roll back into DC stronger than ever.

All this is is an attempt to derail the Trump train for good. It exploits the divisions in the GOP, while the GOP has this fight about who controls it. The Never-Trumpers are not at the center of gravity in the GOP today. It is a desperate gambit for power. Neither Pelosi nor the Never-Trumpers want truth. Both want power at the expense of everyone else.

So it isn't about the truth. Pelosi's stab at patriotism is a ruse for those votes. This was attempted before, and it will be attempted again and again until it is defeated.

But no truth will emerge from the Orwellian gambit. A realignment maybe, but not truth.

More good news about Ivermectin

The bad news is that it is being withheld in some countries like Peru.

Those who do so are leftists.

Why would any so called conservative want to align with them?

Freedom Begins to Return as Masks Are Removed

Let's hope so.

Raison d'etre GOP

Why the GOP exists

In his book, The Conscience of a Liberal, Paul Krugman pines for the days when the GOP was like Eisenhower. Eisenhower's Presidency is what the liberals liked, according to Krugman, because he offered no true resistance to them.

Evidently, the modern GOP wants to be like Ike. So they offer no true resistance to the liberals. And the liberals like them for it. But what does the GOP base think about it? Well, that may be a different story, at least according to what you hear.

Yours truly is getting quite skeptical of everything and everybody. If the words don't match the deeds, there's something rotten in Denmark.

Know what I mean, Vern?

Yesterday, on Bongino's show, he begins with a UFO story. You know, I tended to like Bongino, but it's getting harder and harder to listen to his shows anymore. Maybe it is because on the important issues this past year, there wasn't really that much space between him and the liberals he criticizes so frequently and harshly.

The harshness is necessary in order to create the illusion of distance, I am beginning to suspect.

Is that being too hard on Bongino? Maybe. He offered an explanation for the UFOs that seemed a bit of wishful thinking to me. He mentioned Occam's Razor. Well, to me the simplest explanation for the UFO story is that it is a hoax. There's so many these days. Why should this one be any different?

I'm not questioning Bongino's sincerity at this point. But if an entire country could be fooled with this pandemic hoax, including him, then something's badly wrong here.

Bongino DID put a video up about the fake insurrection the Democrats have been selling these past few months. There's a video of the guy in Buffalo horns talking to the police supposedly DURING the "insurrection". It wasn't a violent confrontation. As a matter of fact, the cops were okay with them being there.

Is the video authentic? Was this the same guy the Democrats have been demonizing as an arch traitor these past few months? If that is all true, that they really did have permission, INCLUDING THIS GUY, then what do you do about it GOP????

HMMMMMMMMMMM?

Nothing to see here folks, would be their likely response. If that is their response, then what do WE THE PEOPLE do about it? Keep voting for these frauds?

The GOP must change or die. There is no other way.

CTH Ivermectin news

Not the headline, but the news from India is good.

Checked through the links, credit to Ivermectin may not be there.

Figures.

Assorted thoughts on the scene

The so called conservatives or libertarians enabled the covid fraud which in turn enabled the election fraud. How do people not understand this? Dick Morris keeps referring to the "pandemic" as if it were legitimate. Does he not know that cases of influenza have nearly gone to zero??? It's the flu! It has been rebranded as a pandemic. Morris gets that it is being used, but does he get that the ENTIRE thing was manufactured out of thin air?

The fake culture is everywhere. On a somewhat related topic, Romney tried to argue that corporations are people. The Dems are leaning on corporations to enforce their agenda. If corporations were people, this wouldn't work. You can eliminate a corporation, but that wouldn't be murder. Think about it.

Democrats are on a jihad against the American people. The Rinos are helping them. This should be more and more evident. But why help the Dems? George W. Bush was hated by the left as much as Trump. Why would he aid them now? Could it be in order to avoid their wrath? They wanted to jail Bush for Iraq. Now they want to jail Trump. Why help them do that? If Rinos joined the party again, it would be stronger, and it could fight better.

Could it be that the corporations are bending to the will of the Democrats because they want to avoid their wrath? Boycotts may not be the answer because that isn't where the force is being applied. The source for the problem are the politicians in Washington who are using their leverage against the corporations to make them bend to their will.

The corporations go along with it because the Dems could literally destroy them if they don't. That wouldn't be so easy if they were really people like Romney once claimed. Corporations aren't born like people are, they are granted charters by the government. Democrats are the party of government, so corporations are easy prey for them.

A bit of organizing today

For the last couple of months, I haven't attached labels to my posts.  This makes things a bit less organized than before.

It is helpful sometimes in finding a post if it has a label.

Update:

The reason  for all of the uncategorized posts may be due to the fact that it is harder to use the Android device to make posts.  I've been using that device for months now.  It isn't easy to make posts on it, and that's just one more thing that is a bit more complex than it needs to be.  So I tend to overlook the organizational aspect to the blogging.

Besides the uncategorized posts, I've been checking my links on the sidebar.  How did I decide to put those there?  There was a reason, and it is probably noted somewhere on this blog, but it is buried.

Using the Android to tie these things together is not easy.  The blog suffers as a result.

The main problem is the lack of bandwidth.  In the old days back in Houston, I had truly unlimited data.  But the data  out here is said to be unlimited, but it isn't.  That's the problem.

Just going to have "soldier on" as best as possible under the circumstances.  Doing something about bandwidth is running against another constraint.  It is the same constraint the world seems to run into which is $$$$$$$.

Out of this world calculations

Using the artificial gravity equation yields some interesting possibilities. First the equation:

If we want to solve for R ( for radius ), then use this:

R equals 9.81 times g divided by the quantity: 3.14 times rpm divided by 30 ( which is then squared)

To simplify a bit, let g = 1 and rpm = 1, then the denominator becomes a constant, which is 3.14/30 squared. That equals 0.011 rounded. This yields a radius of approx 892 meters at 1 rpm, which will give you 1 Earth gravity. The spinning around a center point will give the sense of gravity needed.

That's a big number. But you can manipulate the rpms and the gravitation field that you previously set to 1. The numbers can get more reasonable that way.

Could you spin up a Starship then and get an approximation of Mars gravity? If not, then could you could dock two together and spin up somewhat more than 2 rpm and get an Earth gravity?

Let's say the crew is at 50 meters ( length of Starship) from the center. To calculate g's at 2.5 RPM, we get close to 1 Mars gravity. If you want an Earth gravity, you need to spin a bit faster.

A little over 4 rpm would do it. But humans generally cannot tolerate higher numbers. That high may be a problem. You have to go at least 2 to get to a little more than lunar gravity. Most folks can tolerate that, or so I recall. If memory serves, then two docked together and spun up to 2 rpm will get you maybe a half Martian gravity. Is that enough? If not, you have to spin up a bit more. To get an Earth gravity, you half to spin up to a point that could be a real problem.

If all that is unsatisfactory, another solution will have to be found. Perhaps 4 Starships lined up together? Six or even eight? The more Starships, the longer the radius is, and the easier an Earth's gravity will be reachable. If his plan to make a thousand ship fleet, he's gonna need every one of them.

It would take 18 Starships lined up in a line and spun up to 1 rpm in order to approximate 1 Earth gravity. Er, maybe not what you want to do. Fewer Starships and more rpm may be the ticket.

I think eight @ 2 rpm would be a fair number. How to do all this is another problem for another time.
