This may make the Kavanaugh appointment look like a picnic in comparison.

The Dems aren't going to take this lightly.  But I agree.  It should be filled ASAP.

Off-grid post, 9.17.20

The games are getting a bit stale now, and so it is time to put some ideas to work. As those who read this blog may know, I am against all the mask-wearing that's being imposed upon us---even in the supposed reddest of the red states--Texas.

When I went to the laundromat to do some clothes, I got some static about not wearing a mask. Rather than make a scene, I just left the joint, and haven't been back. But that left me with a problem. How to do my laundry now? Not all laundromats will impose the requirement, so I went to those. But there's a better way--- don't use their equipment. I have a washer. But it wasn't hooked up to the plumbing. Now it is.

Besides improving my plumbing around here, I got an idea to help cool down the joint in the heat of summer. This doesn't even involve a lot of digging. It is so simple that it amazed me that I didn't think of it before. The idea is to use insulation on the roof out there. Some R-10 solid looking stuff may be the ticket. It isn't cheap, but to actively cool it with water in the hopes of distilling clean water off of it is a very labor- intensive solution. This should be better.

So when I build my roof over the joint out there, it will be insulated. Why insulate it?

The metal gets hot in the sun, and then transmits the heat below. Even if you are in the shade, that metal will make things hotter than you know what. The insulation will help keep the shaded area cooler. The main idea is to avoid using an AC out there. There is no power, so you need a way to keep cool without drawing a lot of power. This will reduce the need for an AC and electricity.

The other ideas I have will help even further. Even though it will take a lot of digging to put a water tank down below, I think it will be worth it. It will also given some temperature moderation as well. That's the idea. The only electricity will be a water pump and a fan, which I am using anyway.

It shouldn't be too uncomfortable out there, and I may not even need to go into town to do the laundry. How 'bout that?

Holy Smokes! What a train-wreck.

You may be inclined to view Biden's mental lapses as a bit overblown, but in this clip, the guy cannot put together a coherent sentence or two.

The question was not that difficult to answer, but somehow he flubs it.  He flubs it badly.

It was a friendly setting for him, and they were trying to help him out, but the guy just can't deal with it.

It's alive!

I conducted a little experiment that sort of worked today.  I anticipated a reaction like this one, but it didn't happen that way.  The experiment didn't go quite this well.

1960s Riots Foreshadow Today's Communist Weaponization Of Black Pain

1960s Riots Foreshadow Today's Communist Weaponization Of Black Pain: Many would have us believe that the riots and violence sweeping across America’s cities this year are spontaneous. But the evidence tells us otherwise.

Did it say it will do a "belly-flop"?  After this test, assuming that it is successful, then what?

The "belly-flop" may need to be done in a more aggressive way in order to fully test it.  Perhaps there will be a test like that next.

Structural-Racism Hoax a Loser for Dems - by Robert Ringer

Structural-Racism Hoax a Loser for Dems - by Robert Ringer: With President Trump’s support among African-Americans edging toward 40 percent, it’s clear that an increasing number of blacks now understand that liberty and capitalism, not big government — and certainly not socialism — are the keys to a productive and prosperous life. What has taken so long for blacks to recognize that liberty and capitalism …

Quote:

“… if you evaluate their (liberals’) actions and their mindsets, they actually can’t stand black people, they have no respect for black people, think very little of black people, and certainly aren’t working towards our benefit.”

Comment:

And most importantly, VICE VERSA.  Black votes do not respect white liberals.  I'm pretty sure that I'm right about that.  I've talked with plenty of black folks, and they tend to be more morally upright than liberals.  Those I've talked to also expressed open disdain for liberals.

It's a marriage of convenience.  Once that ends, the "marriage" ends.  It's just a matter of time before it does.
