Liberals understand brainwashing

That's why Jimmy Carter, a Democrat, commuted Patty Hearst's sentence, and Bill Clinton, another Democrat, pardoned her entirely.

Yet, it is so-called conservatives that enable them to brainwash the rest of American society with their lies.

If you deny that brainwashing is possible, then you get what the Democrats do to the rest of the population.  The Democrats understand it.  Why can't the GOP types?

Is that how John McCain can get away with claiming he is a Republican, while he governs and talks like a liberal?

There are four lights!!

Stop the left wing lying.

AGW discussion 106: Science is settled? Just another lie.

Science is never settled, or it isn't science.

If science was settled, then settled science would still be in the dark ages, after the great library in Alexandria was burned down.

Galileo lived in the era of "settled science".  He was put under house arrest for daring to question "settled science".

Science knocks down all settled thought.  Science progresses.  It is never settled.  The leftists know this.  The only thing that the leftists want settled is their own anti-scientific political gains.  If anything is found to be false, they wish to shut it down, and shut it up.

Einstein is said to have apologized to Newton for undermining a lot of Newtonian "settled science".  Science is never settled.  Only liars would say otherwise.

Is this a lie?

Let's develop this theory that I have about liberals selling their souls to the Devil.

First of all, the liberals probably don't believe that they are doing this, as they will probably say that there is no such thing as a Devil.  Since they are materialists, and do not believe in such things as the supernatural, it is quite natural that they would scoff at such a suggestion.

I got this idea about liberals and the Devil, from reading from the Gospel of John, which says that Satan is the father of all lies.  Also, something I saw once before in the book "Success From a Positive Mental Attitude".  That book discusses how Al Capone believed that necessity made him become dishonest.  A liberal, or anyone else for that matter, could rationalize dishonesty because necessity forced them to.  But this book pointed out something that could be a game changer for anybody who reads it, and takes it to heart.  It is this:  nothing forces you to be dishonest.  And this:  necessity is the mother of invention, and the father of crime.  That is right.  If you allow necessity to "force" you to be dishonest, you are likely on the road to a criminal career.  Undoubtedly to me, a liberal will deny this vociferously.  He believes that he is a good person.  So did Al Capone.

Hence, my suspicion that liberals are inherently dishonest.  If they weren't dishonest, they would stop being liberals.  Have you ever seen liberals be honest about what they talk about?  Whether it is gun control, climate change, marriage "equality", or what have you, liberalism is inherently dishonest.  It is necessary to lie, so that they can "win" because without it, they will lose.

So, what are liberals doing when they lie?  They get an advantage that they would not have otherwise.  Hence, this is why they believe that it is necessary.  That much, and that they know that they are wrong.  You don't go down the wrong path unless you know that you can get away with it, because the fear of punishment is much diminished.  It can become diminished when enough of these liberals corrupt the political and social contract of a jurisdiction to such a degree that punishment becomes unlikely.  Washington DC, anyone????  Once the corruption is deep enough, nothing can be done to stop them.  The legal system has been disabled.

Now for this, the story that I am referring to in the title of the post.   The liberal is calling the NRA a terrorist organization.  Now, I don't believe that even the liberals believe this is true.  They make this crap up in order to get an advantage.  They know full well that the NRA is no such thing.  So, they call the NRA a terrorist organization because they believe that it will get them an advantage.

Does it work?  Yes, it must work, or they would not be doing it.

The conservative response is to dig for the truth and "get it out there".  But what happens is that the liberals will smother this so that people will only hear their side of the story, and a lot of people will be deceived, and that is how the liberals can win.

There is no other way to me to describe this but a commitment to evil.  It must be in the DNA of liberalism to go this route.

Perhaps it is the "Rules for Radicals" by Saul Alinsky that can explain this.  Alinsky dedicated his book to Satan, if you heard that one.  Maybe he wasn't kidding.  Liberals are very serious about what they do.  You cannot underestimate them at any time.

Yeah, but...

Ace has some interesting things to say about this absurd upside McDonald's arch thing.

To which I reply, how do you stop this headlong rush into leftism when the Cultural Marxists control everything?

Indeed, how do you fight this?

Stop going to McDonald's?  Like that is going to stop them at all.  It hasn't worked on the NFL.

As a matter of fact, I was thinking on this very thing today.  Florida is going to go along with this gun ban crap, even though that had nothing to do with what happened.  It is like the GOP won't listen to the people who elected them, but listen instead to the people who want to throw them out.  This is the Bushie approach, and it is guaranteed to lose.  So, what do you gain from electing them?  Either way, they screw you.

As I wrote before, you may need your own party, but nobody seems to be determined enough to make a stand.  So, if the Cultural Marxists want your guns, they will get your guns.  You people who call yourselves conservative won't do a thing to stop it.

We had our chance to stop the tax break to corporations, but what did we do?  We fed the monster that is killing us.  Happens every time.

Stormy Daniels

You know that the Dems will eventually find something, now don't you?

If they can't find something, then they will make it up.

If they can't make up anything that will stick, then they will go the obstruction of justice route.

In any case, examine the premises.  It's all about them, not about the country.  They do this for themselves, not the country.

I suspect that they want to cause support for Trump to crater.  If there really is anything to this Stormy Daniels thing, who will abandon ship?  I can speculate, but I won't.  In any case, whoever you are, be prepared for a real stomach churner.  These people will stop at nothing..

They have sold themselves to the devil.  There is nothing that they won't do.

OJ Simpson murder case

Whenever there is some sort of controversy, I seem to get interested in it a lot later.  Take the POTUS Kennedy assassination.  It was almost thirty years before it got interesting to me.  At that point, I made a reasonable effort to understand the issues, and came to a conclusion based upon what I had read.

As for the Simpson murder case, I did not follow it at all at the time.  I considered Simpson guilty, and that the case should have been a slam dunk.  The acquittal shocked the living crap out of me.  I never expected that.

Afterwards, I read the book by Vincent Bugliosi, and it pretty much confirmed my opinion that the prosecution bungled the case.  But nobody could have gotten a conviction with this jury, and this is based upon my reading of Wikipedia.  This source can hardly be considered right wing, nor conservative.  Wikipedia didn't say what I just said, but what they did say was that one of the jurors was found to be sympathetic to the Black Panthers, and gave a Panther salute to Simpson after the verdict.  This leads me to believe that this juror may have poisoned the rest of the jury, which was predominately black.

At the time, most blacks thought Simpson was innocent.  However, that changed over time.  Now most blacks consider Simpson to have been guilty.  What changed?

Could it be true that lies are easier than truth?  I have a theory about the far left politicians, who I believe know this as a principle in human relations.  I have speculated on that in a recent post.

Furthermore I would add that I think a lot of leftists may have made a pact with the Devil.  It is where they get their power.

Many of you may laugh at this, but this slogan of Hillary's -- stronger together, is very disturbing.  You have to look it up to see why.

But that would require effort.  Truth requires effort.  To believe a lie is easy.

AGW discussion 105

Always the premises with this discussion.

You hear a lot about the "scientific" models, which are supposed to predict the climate years from now.

Seems to me that I heard that the use of scientific models are not to be used that way.  In other words, the reporting on such models, which is said to be useful in predicting future outcomes, is BUNK.

The proper use of models is to obtain more relevant data, not for predictions.

Once the real relationships are best known, then these can be discussed.  In other words, if these models actually could find a real relationship between carbon dioxide levels and the observed temperatures, then that could be discussed.  The discussion about computer models predicting the future temperatures is an abuse of the models.

It is very doubtful to me that carbon dioxide makes any difference at all.  If it does, it is minimal.  Very minimal.  But this kind of reporting would never make the news.

Fiction is more interesting than the facts.  It's all about the entertainment of the audience.  Everybody loves a horror show.

Never mind!

As for the talk of Texas going blue, it is like the old Saturday night live skit with Gilda Radner.  But I couldn't find one, so here's another.

Russian super weapons

This was in the news lately, and so the question is: what do you make of it?

As for the boast that their weapons are "unstoppable", I'd say anybody who believes that is crazy.  As General Patton was reported to have said:  If mountains and oceans can be overcome, anything built by man can be overcome.

But that really doesn't answer the question adequately.

Here's the problem with how the Democrats run foreign policy:  they give the Russians a reason to want to attack us, then they don't prepare us for the possibility of an attack.

The solution?  Give the Russians less reason to attack, and then give them ample reason to believe that any attack against us is pure suicide.

The Democrats want to overthrow the Russians, which make the Russians want to attack us, then they won't fund the military, which leaves the Russians with the thought that they may be able to attack us and live to tell about it.

Seven more years of Trump and a GOP Congress should definitely fix this problem.

How do they do it? Maybe they just lie.

What I am talking about here is influence.  I'll give an example of what I heard today.  I have heard this story before, but I didn't mention it before.  There's somebody "in the hood" here who mentioned to me his "out of body" experience.  He said he was in an accident, and he looked down at himself below, on the ground.  What he said was that he felt like he "was in heaven".  But when he came back down to his body he was "in hell".

Because of that experience, and maybe a couple others like it, because it may have happened more than once, he doesn't believe in God...

He also added that he knows some religious folk who warned him about this, that he would go to hell, but he said he has already been there, done that...

I haven't had an out of body experience, so how do I know how I would react?  Would it make you believe, not believe?  For him, it was the latter, not the former.  As for myself, I can only speculate.  If I were in such massive pain that I was on the way out, and that happened to me, I would think an out of body experience would make me feel more religious, not less.

The point?  Everybody sees things in their own way.  The closest I came to dying may have been in an auto accident in the early nineties.  But that wasn't all that close, in terms of injuries.  In terms of possibilities of it being much worse than it was, though, it was too close for comfort.  As for remembering anything, I don't remember a thing.  I don't even remember how it happened.

This business with the cancer may have been close, too.  But it wasn't an out of body experience.  All I remember is some very long nights when I couldn't sleep, and the pain was definitely bad.

But it was not an out of body thing.

Somebody would have to have a similar experience before you would be treated seriously.  That is, if you wanted to influence him towards belief.  How would you do this, then?  Lie about it?  I mean, if you had the same experience, would you try to influence somebody with a lie?  Or would you tell the truth exactly?

I would like to think that I would tell the truth, but my experience in other areas just does not convince me that this works.

The good book says you may have to be predisposed to receive the truth.  But then again, almost nobody seems to be that way.  Indeed, I have yet to meet anybody who seems to be predisposed to be influenced by truthful speech.  It seems to be the other way around.

But I won't be going there.  Is that me just virtue signaling?  Maybe.  Let's just put it this way, I would prefer to believe that I believe that I would always be truthful, even if I am unsuccessful.

Besides, it is a good way to rationalize my own failure at persuasion.

11:32 am:

I did my civic chore and voted in the GOP primary.  They gave me a little sticker to put on my shirt.  I didn't get a lolly pop, though.  Let me not kid myself.  My social circle is rather small, like whatever audience I may have here.  My influence is virtually nonexistent.  Of my three brothers, and myself which makes four siblings, I am pretty sure that I am the only one who bothered to go vote.

This is why I suspect that things are not going to go well for those of us who support Trump.  All of us voted for Trump, I am sure.  But this vote was as important as the first one.

I hear that it is only a GOP primary.  They are so, so sure that the GOP has their back.  I am not so sure.

My warnings won't be heeded, and this time next year, they will all be pissed at what the GOP is doing.  But their chance to make a difference is today, but they won't go and do anything because they trust the GOP to do the right thing.

And there is not a damned thing I can do about it.  I've been down this road many times before.  Why bother?  Good question!

Since this is a movie type post, I am like Bonasera, who goes to visit the Godfather.  Bonasera wants justice for his daughter, and the criminal "justice" system failed him, and made him look like a fool.

Am I a fool then, like Bonasera?  Going to a Godfather type is out of the question.

9:00 am:

Boy, the ideas keep running.  That is, the movie reference.  Austin Powers and now this one here, which is the Bruce Willis remake of the seventies flick.

Death Wish is being portrayed as an angry white man flick.  You see, it is okay to portray white men in a derogatory manner these days.  If you are sick and tired of it, you vote for a GOP guy.  But this guy is a Flake ( or fake ) or a Corker.  You get fooled into thinking you are fighting against this political correctness garbage, but the RINOS are only out there to scam you.  The scam is that they are pretending to defend the culture, but they are getting their 30 pieces of silver in order to betray it.

Get it?  Maybe you people never will.  That's how Cultural Marxists continue to win.

8:30 am:

Today is the Texas primary, and I think it has snuck up on all of those who are--- about as real conservative--- as it exists anymore, anywhere.  Hence the name "so-called conservative".  Yep.  I think the RINOS will get their way, as they usually do.  So-called conservatives have been snookered, I am beginning to suspect.

The best thing to do is just whatever you can.  If possible, I suggest voting, even though the interest level is really down, and that is what is working against the conservatives.  The interest level should have been on these local races.  Instead, it is being diverted to the impeachment scam on the national level.

It should have been recognized as their usual scam, and handled accordingly.  But the conservatives are really not as organized and determined as they should be.  I count myself as one of them, as I am not really as motivated as I should be.  I knew these local races were important, but my attention was diverted to the national level.  I would bet a lot of those who count themselves as conservatives are going to be kicking themselves tomorrow.

But you can count on the RINOS to be motivated, and the Cultural Marxist horde is definitely so.

8:00 am:

The idea for this post is from the Austin Powers movies.  If you know what I mean.  If not, it doesn't matter.  It's just a joke.

But this is really a serious matter.  Our way of life is being attacked on a very broad front.  The main way to stop this right now is to say "no" to everything these people want.  That very, very, very much pertains to gun control.  But it doesn't stop there, because it is a broad front.

They've already destroyed marriage.  People should have dug their heels in on that, but failed.  Now they want to roll back something that may hasten a financial collapse of a type that was witnessed in 2008.  The purpose of this is to sabotage conservatism.  Conservatives will get the blame, and rightly so, if they go along with this.  It is seductive, this idea of deregulating everything.  But banks are not to be deregulated.  Neither are corporations.  These people are not our friends.  You have to understand that, and say no to this.

Of course, getting back to guns, the new Democrat senator of Alabama is proving true to form.  He wants to impose gun control over what is really a cultural matter.  This is what you get from these Never-Trumpers, who stayed home because they didn't like a real conservative representing them--- Judge Roy Moore.  The "Rinos" gave Alabama this cultural Marxist, because they said no to the wrong thing, which was our cultural heritage.  These people are out to destroy that, make no mistake.  They should have said "yes!" to the Ten Commandments and "no!" to these Cultural Marxists that are now coming at us.

I believe that the entire slate of GOP candidates this fall will get the Roy Moore treatment.  If you think a successful economy is all you need, you are kidding yourselves.

As for kidding anybody, I may be kidding my own self.  This is like talking to a wall.  Too many people are falling for this trick, this renaming of conservatism for what is Cultural Marxism in disguise.

Mars Hill

Well, now.  I didn't know what that was, but that is because I haven't read all of the New Testament.  Or very much of it, for that matter.  It is in Acts.

Anyway, here is a post that tends to follow up on my post earlier today.  It says somewhat the same as what I say, but I must say that it says what it says better than I do.

It may come across as something a bit crazy, but I personally think it is dead on.  But there may be trolls on Free Republic, like everywhere else.

What is "baphomet"?  Click on the link, by golly.  Hint:  Think of Hillary's "stronger together" political slogan, and compare that to the link.  Chilling.

Well, I did a little research on Goldwater, and no, he was not racist.  As a matter of fact, he seemed to be turning liberal in his later years.

Actually, Goldwater opposed the Civil Rights Act of 1964, because it was an overreach.  If you look at what it has become, you would have to agree that he was right.  Absolutely right, which may sound "extremist", but truth is truth.  You don't water down truth.  It is, or it isn't.

Originally posted, 2.26.18:

I like Surber, but then he says some stuff that raises my antenna up a bit.

He calls Goldwater a racist.  Hello?  Sorry, but opposition to the Civil Rights Act of 1964 is not necessarily an act of racism.  This falls into the habit that seems so prevalent these days of calling anybody who doesn't fall into the groupthink a "racist".  I'd have to see a lot of evidence that Goldwater was racist, and this alone does not qualify for that.  Racism is a pretty serious charge that gets thrown out there way damned too often.

Goldwater was a flawed candidate, in my opinion.  He just wasn't a clever man.  Somebody wrote his nomination acceptance speech for him, and it made him look like an extremist.  Goldwater fell into that trap himself.  He had nobody to blame for that but himself.  Here's a paraphrasing of what Goldwater said:  "I would remind you that moderation in the pursuit of justice is no virtue.  I would also remind you that extremism in the pursuit of liberty is no vice!"  Stuff like that croaked Goldwater politically.  You just cannot have that much zeal in politics.  Words have to be carefully used.

Goldwater also managed to get himself linked up with the use of atomic bombs.  The famous "daisy" teevee ad followed.

Besides all that, there was a great deal of dislike between the Rockefeller Republicans and the conservatives.  The conservatives needed the Rockefeller types.  I know.  I know.  We don't like 'em any better today than then, but we still need them to win.  Thing is, we just cannot allow them to get too much control over us.  But they sure don't like us at all.

George P. Bush comes to mind.  I have been paying attention to state races a bit more, and his name seems to be on the downswing.  If we kick them out, they may retaliate like they did in 1964.  That is why Johnson's victory was so massive.  The Rockefellers voted for LBJ.  They will do it again if we don't watch it.  I dislike the Bushes now.  This wasn't always the case, but there's something wrong with that outfit.  But we cannot just cast them aside.  They will take revenge.  That is their nature.

Finally, conservatism gets redefined a lot.  I have a lot of trouble with open borders types calling themselves conservatives.  I also have a lot of trouble with people equating corporations with capitalism.  Also with free trade uber alles--- aka globalism.  Trump is challenging that, and that is what gets these people's panties in a wad.  Trump is sending conservatism back to its roots, so to speak, and these people are mad as hell about it.

Surber rips the National Review, which doesn't bother me much, since the National Review has made me mad in recent times, but then... they haven't gone completely batshit crazy liberal, either.

Trump gave Mona Charen an opportunity to speak.  She was rude.  But that is what you get sometimes.  Trump may regret being nice to them, but then, he hasn't always been so nice.  I wouldn't jump too hard on Charen and her ilk.  We may need 'em.

Reagan's success was in keeping the GOP united.  Trump is trying to do the same.  It isn't helpful to try to tear each other apart.

The Long and Short of it, revisited

Previous   Next

Usually, my posts are short.  Perhaps a couple hundred words or less.  This one may
be longer, because a lot of thoughts are congealing in my mind.  Those thoughts need
to be organized into a longer post, and so, here it is.

The thing that inspires this post is the rampant dishonesty that I see in so many
places.  Anything and everything seems to be a scam these days.  Why do people lie?
Is it because people believe that it is necessary to lie?  But lies do not help, they
end up causing trouble.  The one thing that is unavoidable when the lies start, it is
the breach of trust.  More lying brings more distrust.  It is a never ending cycle
that does not end well.

The biggest scam of all is the idea that white people are bad for being white people.

This is what drives the culture war.  The culture war, as Pat Buchanan called it, is
the Cultural Marxism which had its genesis in the aftermath of the failure of
communism to spread itself around the world.  Everything you see in the modern culture
these days has its genesis in the Cultural Marxist project.  All of the so-called
modern liberal interests fall into this pattern.  The pattern's ultimate project is
to "transform" America.  It has gotten to the point that it is now the Obama project,
which puts a non-white face upon the nation.

Nothing is what it appears to be.  Environmentalism isn't about saving the planet.
No, it is about destroying the white man's economy.  Racial equality is not about
racial equality.  Gender equality is not about gender equality.  Marriage equality
is not about marriage equality.  No, these things are not about what they say it is
about.  It is about destroying Western Culture, and replacing it with something else
more to their liking.

It is about destroying the white man, for the white man was the vector of Western Culture.

Supposedly, this project is to make things more fair.  But, as you can observe, things
are not going so well in the places in which the Marxists have succeeded.  This does
not deter them, as their targets are now America and Europe.

It is not about equality of the races.  No, we have passed that marker a long time
ago.  It is now about subjugation of the white to the non-white.  White people are
told you cannot band together for the benefit of the white.  But there is nothing
wrong with banding together of the non-white against the white.  For that is not
racist, or so they say.  So, to vote for Trump is racist because the white man is
inherently racist, or so they say.

The Cultural Marxists seek to destroy everything white, for this is what makes them
appear to be a failure.  If the whole world became a left wing shit hole, then they
wouldn't have anything to feel badly about.

So, what is this Russian collusion thing anyway?  Aren't the Russians white, or mostly
white?  You just cannot have a Russian-American rapprochement for this reason.  So,
you get this so-called non-white Pope, who doesn't really believe in Christianity
anyway, and whose purpose is to destroy the white man's religion.

Russia still doesn't treat homosexuals as equal.  This makes them "bad" people.
Never mind that homosexuals do not reproduce.  In a culture that no longer reproduces,
the idea of reproduction has taken on a negative meaning.  What they really mean
is that they don't want more white people.  Hence, the pressure to become more
friendly with the ideas of self-annihilation.  For that is what homosexuality has
been throughout history.  No culture can survive it.  Neither will Western Culture,
and the Russians know this.  If that is what drives them, that is.

So, we are to believe the Russians don't believe in "equal" rights, and therefore
they are bad.  We must change them.  Never mind that this mind poison is what will
destroy Western Culture, because that is what it is there for.

The curious thing is why are there so many on the so-called right, so anxious to join
this Culture of Death?  What about these "Bushes", who were supposed to allied with
those who wished to preserve the Western way of life?  Why didn't the Bushes attend
the services for Billy Graham?  Just because Trump insulted them, and Graham supported Trump?

Once upon a time, it seemed that the Bushes were self-effacing bunch with a sense
of humor.  Supposedly, they could admit error, and correct themselves.  Supposedly,
they had a sense of humor, and could take a joke.  Was that a scam, too?  For the
Bushes sure can't take the joke that Trump whipped them.  Neither can the
the McCain's, and probably neither can the John Deans of this world.  For this type
takes care of themselves first and foremost.  We led to believe that the Bushes were
patriots first.  But was that just one of their scams?

So now we have the Rockefeller types who want to make the world into their image.
If their image is one of the scam, then there won't be anything to the notions of
truth, honor, nor integrity.  For those will have become old-fashioned, and no longer
fitting for this New World Order of theirs.

Consequently, what is good will become evil, and what is evil will become good.  Such
cannot exist for long.  Their New World Order will fail unless it changes its ways.  Such an order cannot exist because of its inherent contradiction.  Nothing that preaches instability can ever be stable.  Everything that is at war with the truth cannot stand.  A house divided against itself cannot stand.  Or do the Bushes believe in Jesus Christ anymore, or did they ever believe in the first place?  Also, maybe they forgot about Abraham Lincoln, or was he a bad guy too for being white?

In closing, what I have just written may be condemned as racist.  I deny that.  I am not for white supremacy.  But we have gone way past equality.  For these people do not seek equality. For equality, as a manner of speaking, is just a scam.  The real purpose of this is to destroy Western Civilization.  In order to do that, you must destroy the white man too.  Thus, what they are really about is subjugation, and ultimately, genocide.
