Bongino makes fun of Bernie Sanders

Comment:

Things get so serious nowadays.  I can appreciate someone who can find humor in a situation.  My reaction to Bernie Sanders and the like is to dismiss them as fools.  But to make fun of them is a good thing.

Of course, making fun of people who take themselves rather seriously can be hazardous to your health.  But that is okay too.  If they shoot, then shoot back!

August Jobs Numbers

Comment:

These aren't recession-like numbers.   What can explain the negative interest rates in certain countries?  Could it be flawed economic policies that restrict growth, and thus require hyper monetary stimulus?  Hyper monetary stimulus can explain negative interest rates.

But where's the inflation?  There should be inflation.  Something needs to explain this because monetary theory does not.  Or perhaps I am missing something.

The inverted yield curve would only be significant, in my opinion, if there was deflation.  That hasn't appeared in the statistics in the US, but what about other countries?

What Happened During Flynn Lawyer’s Secret Meeting With Judge?

Comment:

The article states that Flynn hasn't requested to change his plea to not guilty.  Therefore, the government may argue that the request to see documents is irrelevant.  But Powell may have another move in mind.

The goalposts always move with those guys

Comment:

The goalposts HAVE to move when you have no respect for eternal truth.  The sands of life may shift constantly, but the truth does not.

The left has to be in league with evil forces because that is their nature.

Prayers to start the day ( reposted )

That last version was supposed to be the final version, but it still doesn't seem right.  Let's try it again.

Almighty and most merciful Father, we humbly beseech Thee, of Thy great goodness, to overcome the corruption with which we have had to contend.  Grant us courage for the struggle ahead.  Graciously hearken to us as your servants who call upon Thee that, armed with Thy power, we may advance from victory to victory, and crush the oppression and wickedness of the enemy and establish thy justice for thy people..

There.  That may be good enough.  In a few hours, maybe it will still seem good enough.

Here is another prayer, which may prepare us for defeat, because that may not be avoidable.  ( sadly )

God grant me the serenity to accept the things I cannot change, the courage to change the things I can, and the wisdom to know the difference.
Finally, it matters little what happens here on Earth in this lifetime, because eternity awaits us all.

The Lord's prayer
Our Father, hallowed be thy name, they kingdom come, thy will be done, on Earth as it is in Heaven.  Give us today our daily bread, and forgive us our trespasses as we forgive those who trespass against us.  Lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil, as thine is the kingdom, and power, and glory forever, amen.

If prayers are good enough for Patton, they should be good enough for anybody.  Old "blood and guts" was no sissy.

How do the Dems spin this one?

Comment:

Strzok as the main witness in the Flynn case?  Strzok involved in the shady FISC application for warrant against Carter Page?

Woof!

Didn't Mr. Integrity rule on this already?

Comment:

The following tweet is about the emails that prompted Mr. Integrity to re-open the Hillary Clinton email "investigation" There were thousands of emails that came into the possession of the FBI, which McCabe sat on for at least a month.  Then these emails became known, and Mr. Integrity had to do something, so he re-opened the "investigation".

Subsequently, before the election, Mr. Integrity cleared Hillary once again.  But this tweet seems to contradict that any investigation took place AT ALL.

Uh-oh!  Looks like something else that Mr. Integrity needs an "apology" for.

Nobody questions Mr. Integrity.  He is totally on the up and up. /sarc

Nigel Farage says this may be heading to a very dark place

Comment:

It seems that a stronger negotiation position would be the No Deal approach.  Otherwise, why should the EU negotiate?

This all seems rather silly to me, but it doesn't surprise me at all.  That is the problem in the Western world--- too many very, very silly people in the position of power.

Corbyn would be getting what he said he wanted, an election.  But no..... can't do that.

What dark place does this lead to?  Chaos?

Lite posting for today and tomorrow

Got places to go and things to do.

You might say today is getting ready for tomorrow.  Tomorrow is a trip to the big city for a doctor's appointment.  It is a big day.  Every time I do one of these MRI's, it is a big day.  No news would be good news.

So, that's what's on store for today and tomorrow.

I know it doesn't take a whole day to do this, but I am going to try to do more than just one thing.

Walmart may be more worried about getting sued for selling guns, than in not providing security for their gun free zone

Comment:

Yeah, you have to wonder about that.  Do they have some sort of immunity from lawsuits if they have a sign posted on their door that declares their store to be a gun-free zone?  Maybe there is an opportunity here for so-called conservatives, but don't count on them taking advantage of an opportunity.

That is assuming that there are any real conservatives left out there.

Skulduggery like this is why you shouldn't trust the government

Comment:

There is a ton of evidence which shows governmental abuse with respect to the Russian collusion hoax.  Yet we are lectured about being "paranoid" about the government.

This was an attempted coup.  To what end?  Is this supposed to convince skeptics of their honorable intentions?

The trouble with responding to the left's demands

There was something Castro said that I considered worth making a post about.  But when I read it, it seemed like a hook into something else entirely.

Castro implied that it was "paranoid" to think that the government might become a tyranny, and that is why we claim to need the guns.  I thought that was worth responding to.  For one thing, wasn't it him, or his brother, who doxxed people for doing nothing but exercising their right to their political views?  If that isn't of a tyrannical mind in this own guy's mind, or his brother's mind, then what would it take to convince anyone?  In the sense of not trusting, if this is what he means by "paranoid", then why should the public trust him or anyone else like him?

But then the article seemed to swerve into the current regulation regime, and how it might be improved.

That demonstrates a problem.  I wanted to discuss why it is necessary to be on the lookout for potential tyrants, and why the public should be armed in order to be able to respond to one.  Instead, I have to read through this trickery about current gun regulations.  It is a bid to influence based upon a "hook".  Quite tricky.

It seems that there are just too many "conservatives" who want to cave in to the left's demands.  Why give into it?  Just reject it.  The law demonstrates bad faith anyway.  If the law lets criminals get guns, then the whole idea wasn't to stop criminals, but to restrict gun ownership.

By that fact alone, you have ample reason not to trust the government.  The government is always seeking to expand its authority.  Liberty comes at the price of eternal vigilance, it has been said.  If that gets you called bad names, then so be it.  There are worse things.

Hitler banned gun ownership.  Yet the Democrats like to call Trump a new Hitler.  If they really believed their own rhetoric, then giving up their guns would be the last thing they would do.  But since they are lying about Trump and about guns, then they are definitely not worthy of trust.

Just say no to these people.

Trump is holding his own

Comment:

In the spirit of non-cockiness, the title of this post asserts that he is holding on to his people.  Maybe he is adding a few more.

The article suggests a landslide, but this "poll" is one of many, which all say different things.

It is also true that the anti-Trump fervor seems to be as strong as ever.  But that formula didn't work last time.

Just say "no" to the left

The left seems to want many things.

The response to this is generally to entertain their demands.  But their demands are always unreasonable.  So, why consider their demands at all?  Why not just dismiss what they want out of hand?

The current rage on the left is gun-control.  Another is radical environmentalism.  Both these things get urgent treatment from the left.  It is as if it must be done right away or unacceptable things will happen.

But this rush to action is a creature of the left.  There is no urgency.  If the left attempts to pressure, just reject it out of hand.

With respect to gun control, they will have to gain control of the Presidency and the Congress.  You can be sure that, if they get full power that they will ignore the Constitution.  They don't respect it anyway.  The current POTUS does not have to agree with anything they put in front of him.  Two thirds of both houses of Congress must vote against him in order to override his veto.  He should refuse to support any further gun control measures.

As for the Constitution, the left sees it as a hindrance.  Any vote for the left is a vote to abolish the Constitution.  Frankly, any attempt to abolish the Constitution is seditious.  If there is any urgency to the situation, it is that.  If you abolish the Constitution without due regard to the law, you will by definition have disorder.  It will be quite destabilizing.  Anything could be possible after that.

For the sake of stability, all normal and sane people should just say no to ALL leftist demands.  Vote them out of power and in numbers everywhere they are found.  The fewer of these people in responsible positions, the better.

The outlines of a criminal conspiracy emerge

Comment:

Multiple players acting in concert with each other defines conspiracy.  The Mueller appointment was a fraud.  It's basis, "collusion", was also a fraud.  It was a long-running, still-operating attempt to undermine and destroy the legitimacy of the duly-elected POTUS.
