The PetroDollar

The theory being presented here is that the USA went to war in Iraq in order to secure its dollar as the reserve currency.

If that's true, it's really dumb policy. In the USA's own labs, it proved the concept of molten salt reactors which could use thorium, which is nearly inexhaustible in quantity. Basing an economy upon trading in petrodollars is really stupid and dangerous.

Instead of importing trillions of dollars of oil, it could have exported the equivalent amount in the new technology.  It need not have spent treasure and blood to defend that which was not necessary, and was in fact, contrary to its own interests.

The left cannot escape responsibility.  This was a bipartisan stupidity, if it is indeed the case.

The Road to Civil War: The Compromise of 1850 – Dick Morris TV: History Video!

The Road to Civil War: The Compromise of 1850 – Dick Morris TV: History Video!

There's history as it is, and alternative history as a sort of  "what if" exercise.

Morris describes the compromise in terms of how it led to Civil War.  But what if the pitfall had been avoided and no civil war took place?  We'd see a completely different kind of world today.

How might the difference occurred?  The South was aware of its increasingly poor political situation vis-a-vis the North.  Now, if that could have been averted, then the most objectionable part of the compromise might have also been averted--The Fugitive Slave Act.

If the territories had been combined into a very large state, and then admitted, then the political disadvantage of the South could have been mitigated.  Maybe you could have combined them into two megastates---Texas and California.  Each of these two states could have held land gained from Mexico.  California would enter as a free state, Texas as a slave state.

Actually, it appears that President Zachary Taylor favored a similar approach, but he died in office before such a proposal could be implemented.  It might have worked, as Texas may have been subdivided into two slave states in order to balance the addition of two free states of New Mexico and California.

The Utah and New Mexico territories were also set up as a result of the compromise.  One could speculate that if a separate state of Deseret had been established, which would have encompassed all the territories of New Mexico and Utah, and might have averted at least some of the insecurity felt by Southerners.  This may have made the Fugitive Slave Law unnecessary, or a less harsh measure possible.  With a little foresight such as this, a the future war might have been averted.

However, nothing came of Deseret.  The Fugitive Slave Law went into effect.  Popular sovereignty, which was the basis for organizing the new territories, became a bone of contention itself.

The loss of Taylor and Clay was a critical factor.  The war happened and the rest is history.

Boy-Girl Theory and Liberalism

This idea of the Boy-Girl Theory comes from Robert Ringer's book Winning Through Intimidation.  What is the Boy-Girl Theory?  Ringer relates it to the games people play in courtship, viz: boy wants girl and comes on too strong---girl doesn't want boy.  But if boy acts cool, girl wants boy.  What it boils down to is this: people want the thing that they think they can't have.  So boy acts cool and the girl wants him, and vice versa.

What does that have to do with liberalism?  Well, I got to thinking about it and have posted here several times my opinion that liberals seem to be interested in only things that can never work.  If it works, they don't like it.  If it doesn't work, and could never work, liberals love it.  I connected the two dots.  Liberals want what they want because they know it can't work and that's why they want it.  It's the old boy-girl game that Ringer was talking about.

It's that or it's the Death Cult.  They want to die and take everyone with them.  Like Reverend Jim Jones and his death cult in Guyana.  Maybe in its more virulent form, liberalism is a Death Cult.  In a more benign form, it is only the boy-girl game.  Whatever the case may be, liberals must know that their ideas can't work, but that's why they want them.  When others try to confront them with their pathology, they can act out in destructive ways.

Yes, and they project.  It's not Them.  It's YOU.

You don't get any problem-solving with them because solving problems is not what it's about with these folk.  It's about belief.  If only they can get everybody to believe with them and do what they say, the world will become a utopia.  Utopias can only exist in the imagination.  They aren't real and can never be.

If you disagree, you are against them and you are evil.  There can be no rational discussion when you discuss faith.  You believe and are part of the group, or you don't and you are a cast-out.

But merely believing a thing to be so doesn't make it so.  The process of reasoning can determine the truth or falsity of something.  But maybe not in all things.  Truth is a slippery thing.

Humans are susceptible to this because of the need to believe in something which can explain that which cannot be explained otherwise.

It's not an easy problem to solve.  Likely as not, it will show itself in all societies in some form or another at some point in time.  We may be in such a time now in this country.

It doesn't matter what people do or say. We're accustomed to watching movies and TV, in which the what a character says or does is only incidental to his Heroism. The main determinant of whether someone's a hero or villain is simply how the movie treats him tonally.

Only the Designated Hero Wins Applause. AP edits out the standing ovation Paul received at the conclusion of his filibuster.[ emphasis added]

Bingo.  The powers-that-be tell people what to think, and the people oblige.  The powers-that-be edit out the applause because the bad guy cannot be applauded.  The people oblige because they don't know any better because they won't think for themselves because they've been trained not to.

David R. Henderson, The Robber Barons: Neither Robbers nor Barons | Library of Economics and Liberty

David R. Henderson, The Robber Barons: Neither Robbers nor Barons | Library of Economics and Liberty

Why do we get such a distorted view of the era of the so-called robber barons? One reason is that the popular press at the time trumpeted that view....virtually none of the impetus for antitrust laws came from consumers. Much of it came from small producers who had been competed out of business. They didn't want more competition; they wanted less...As the late University of Chicago economist George Stigler, who won the Nobel Prize in 1982, pointed out, "[M]ost important enduring monopolies or near monopolies in the United States rest on government policies."9 That's because if governments do not restrict entry, high profits of firms with market power attract new entrants and new competition the way honey attracts ants. As I put it in the tenth of my Ten Pillars of Economic Wisdom,10 drawing on similar wording from Stigler, "[C]ompetition is a hardy weed, not a delicate flower."[ emphasis added]

The truth is often the opposite of what we are told.  That's why you need critical thinking skills in order to determine truth for yourself.   Hard to do that when you are "educated" not to think for yourself, but to think the way you are told to think.

Obama’s Revenge Army – Dick Morris TV: Lunch Alert!

Obama wants to regain control of Congress and finish his destruction of America's economic strength.  He is funding an "army" of activists who are going to attempt to undermine Republicans who are currently holding seats in Congress.  His strategy is similar to what FDR did in 1938, which backfired back then.  But don't get overconfident, this could succeed this time because of Republican divisions.

Democrats push gun measure in Colo, give up others

The Colorado debate is being watched nationally as a bellwether of how far politically moderate states are willing to go with new gun laws in the wake of mass shootings in a suburban Denver movie theater and a Connecticut elementary school. It's also playing out in a state where one of the nation's most high-profile school massacres — the 1999 Columbine High School shootings — took place.

Not only is this a mistake, it won't be effective in stopping something like this in the future.  Funny thing is how they insist upon not doing the one thing that will work and insist upon doing what doesn't work.

That was nearly 5 hours worth of video.  Don't recall exactly when it started to veer away a bit from my own point of view, but it did just a bit.

It is best to watch it all in order to see where it goes.  Suffice it to say, too many people are deaf, dumb, and blind.  It is so because the powers-that-be want it to be so.

All in all, it is worth the time to watch.  But also very hard on your schedule because it is so long.

Naturally the mission planetary defense is the primary mission.

Besides that, the secondary mission could be  to exploit the natural resources of the intercepted asteroids and comets.

Finally with the resources exploited from the asteroids, these could be leveraged into capabilities to expand outwards into the solar system.

Let it be financed through a government contract program at first, afterwards, it could become self-sustaining.

If the dollars falls, how will it happen?

Frankly, I don't know if the dollar fall is guaranteed.  It is almost as if insanity has become the new sanity, and sanity has become insanity.  Looking at this strange phenomenon, the only thing keeping the dollar up is the printing of greenbacks, but that should be the cause of its downfall.  It is defying the law of gravity.  How is this possible?

The debt is being monetized.  Most of the debt is being financed with Fed purchases of debt.  It is money out of thin air.  If this money was not being provided by the Fed, interest rates would skyrocket.  Basically, it works like this:  the debt has be financed some way, so the debt is put on the market but there's no bids to cover the gargantuan amount of debt that must be sold.  Anytime the supply exceeds demand, prices fall.  Since interest rates move opposite to price of debt, as debt prices fall, interest rates rise.  It would rise to backbreaking levels rather quickly, in my opinion.  Therefore, the only thing separating the US from a default is the unlimited amount of monetary expansion.  The monetary expansion pays for nearly all the spending.

You'd think people would understand this and avoid debt altogether.  But there are buyers of debt.  Why?  I can't wrap my head around that one.  The only thing that can explain this is blind faith.  What happens when that faith is shattered?  Collapse.  Will that event ever happen?  I'd say it is inevitable, but that may be incorrect.  All the signs point to it, yet the collapse does not happen.

Some event will trigger the collapse, but who knows what that event will be, or if it will even occur.  It could be an international event, such as debacle somewhere.  Or it could be a sudden crisis of confidence in the domestic situation.

Could the sequester fight bring it on?  Possibly, but in ways that defy the conventional wisdom.  For if the government can't get its fiscal house in order, that could bring on the crisis in confidence.  It seems inconceivable to me that the unlimited spending and monetary expansion can be a confidence builder.  Perhaps this is far more important that people realize.  If the Republicans can't hold firm on the sequester, the dollar is doomed.  Or it could escape somehow.  It certainly seems to me that it should be doomed, but I can't be certain of this.  If faith can move mountains, then holding up the dollar isn't out of the question.

Look, the sequester is only a drop in the bucket.  If you can't even do a drop in the bucket, what reason have you to believe that this government can do anything at all to get this under control?  The sequester is a statement of intention, you might say.  It is a statement of whether this government intends to control itself.  If that control cannot be established, then it may come from an external event that will establish the control.  One way or another, this cannot continue.  The government will have to restrain itself, or be restrained by events.

You don't matter because you are expendable

Got a couple links from Instapundit, one of the links discusses extinction events, the other asks if extinction is such a bad thing.

As for the second question, the article gives the impression that human extinction would not be such a bad thing.  It might even be good for the earth, so it can recover from all the damage we do to it.

That's an example of the kind of thinking of the death cult.  That is to say, it's okay if humans go extinct , but if humans cause extinctions, that's such a bad thing.  Thus, it would not such a bad thing if humans disappeared.

So the death cult says you are expendable.  Your life matters less than the environment.  Even your breathing is bad because of the carbon dioxide.

in defense of your rights

At the risk of being , shall we say provocative, I would suggest that as a free man , you have the right to carry weapons.

Any law to the contrary is illegal.  Since a law like that is illegal, it should not be obeyed.

What do you do about laws that are not in accord with the Constitution?  Do you obey unlawful legislation?  Is it not your duty , according to the Declaration of Independence, to change any government it is not helpful to your rights?  Do you obey a government that breaks the law and tramples upon your rights?

Even if a duly elected government takes it upon itself violate your rights even though the population approves of its actions, should those actions be binding upon all of the people anyway?

I would hold add illegal actions by government should not be a
obeyed and if they're not obeyed does not make you a criminal.  An example?  The Civil War.  To have opposed the illegal breaking of the Union surely was not considered an illegal act.  If that was true and it certainly should have been, then the opposition to illegal gun control should also be legal.  That would be true even if it means going against the authority of a legally elected government.

The Dow Isn't Really At A Record High (And It Wouldn't Matter If It Were)

npr via Free Republic

And those are the least of the Dow's problems. More troubling is that it ignores the overall size of companies and pays attention to only their share prices. This causes all sorts of oddities. ExxonMobil, for example, divides its value into nearly five billion lower-cost shares, while Caterpillar has around 650 million more expensive ones. Therefore ExxonMobil, one of the largest companies in history, pulls less weight on the Dow than a company less than a fifth its size.

The computation of the Dow is flawed.  Read the whole thing to see why.

It is useful, though, to manage perceptions that the economy is flourishing even though it isn't.

And I can't stay another night

This bit of history is politically incorrect

I was looking for something on the web, which I remembered reading about many years ago.  After the fall of Rome, learning became frowned upon.  The barbarians destroyed as much of the culture as they found, and that would have been lost forever, but for the monks.  The monks preserved ancient learning and passed it along to future generations.  If they hadn't done this, it would have been lost forever.

I came across this, which is quite surprising as it dovetails with what I've written here about the Death Cult.

CAUSES FOR THE FALL OF ROME

Edward Gibbon in his classic The Decline and Fall of the Roman Empire gives some basic reasons for the fall of Rome: (1) undermining of the sanctity of the home; (2) the rapid increase in divorce; (3) the development of huge armaments and the neglect of the enemy within; (4) the moral degeneracy of the whole society — sexual perversion and homosexuality; and (5) the declension of religious vitality, with formalism supplanting faith and impotence replacing power.

Other reasons are as follows: (1) political chaos and distrust of political leaders; (2) a breakdown of justice; (3) a failure to maintain law and order; (4) increasing taxes; and (5) a mass movement from the rural areas to the cities.

Very familiar, yes?

The part about monks comes later.  However, with respect to the Death Cult, you can be assured that they would never allow the parts about sexual perversion and homosexuality to be included in history lessons.  No siree, Bob.

A modern day version of the monks might be considered harmless, but who knows?  Since the Death Cult is so pervasive, there may not be any place that a monk could go.  Even the barbarians left the monks alone, but the Death Cult won't.

Another slip into the Dark Ages could be permanent this time.

The Death Cult cannot be stopped

A chilling hypothesis.

What could stop the Death Cult?  The answer is that since it is political, it would take a political response.  At the current time, only the Republicans can stop the Death Cult.  Yet, the Republicans are divided and weak.  There is a real possibility that they will lose their majority in 2014.  No help there.

Once the Death Cult gets full political control, they will immediately begin to consolidate their power.  For that time on, there will be no stopping them politically.

Is there another possibility?  Maybe.  I've been exploring that on this blog since I started with it.  The other possibility is technological advancement.  Keep in mind though, that technology is also subject to the effects of the Death Cult.  As the Death Cult digs in deeper and deeper into the collective psyche of our society, fewer and fewer people are pursuing the kind of education necessary in order to keep the advancement going.  As the older generations die off, there will be less intellectual capability to keep it moving.  Eventually a tipping point will be reached, and all advancement will cease.

What about religion?  Well, the Death Cult is hostile to religion.  It seeks to change religion itself if it can't wipe it out entirely.  That's partly what gay marriage is about.  Eventually, one of the basics of Christianity will be legislated into criminality.  It will be "hate speech" to speak of Christian values, which is pro-family.  In order to be a true Christian, you'd have to be an outlaw.

The Death Cult also seeks to change the church from within.  You can see that happening now with the Catholic Church.  It has been infiltrated by homosexual priests and nuns.  People stop believing and the Church dies off.

The Death Cult is pervasive.  It is destroying everything in the name of progress.  Nobody is able to stop it as it gains momentum.  It is destroying the capability of the society to sustain itself by making it less likely to physically reproduce.  It is destroying the culture, so that people will not want to act in a way consistent with a will to reproduce.  It is destroying individual initiative, so that economic growth will become more and more difficult, if not impossible.  Economic conditions will worsen.  The sinew that supports the economy is being deliberately atrophied, as education is being undermined in the name of equality.  Technical competence is being destroyed as education sustains competence.  Soon, the nation will not have the ability nor the will to sustain itself.  The Death Cult's job will be complete as the nation collapses into helpless incompetence.

In the end, it will take a popular movement to reverse the cultural poison that is the Death Cult.  Yet the people are passive and indifferent.  They are being taught to be imbeciles---thanks to the Death Cult.  It is easy to see that the people themselves are also hopeless.  How can you blame them?  Those who could lead them won't, and those who are leading want them dead---all in the name of saving the environment.  The possibility of a cultural renewal has also been forestalled by the Death Cult.

Nothing can stop this except a miracle.  The chilling hypothesis may well be the inescapable reality.

Advice To Candy-Ass Reporters On How To Deal With Bullies

Ace of Spades blog

None of the White House correspondents who spoke to The Post are hopeful that things will improve. “What’s our recourse?” says one. “How do you force them?”

“The reporters I’ve spoken to who have covered multiple administrations have said this is tighter, more restricted than other administrations,” Munro says. “They don’t like it. They don’t have the power to change it.”

Hmm.  The premise here is that the press is afraid of Obama, so they will be quiet.  But when they get pushed too far, they come out with a wimpering like the quote above.  Instead of wimpering, they should stand up to the bully.

Well, yeah.  One bully standing up to another.  They are all bullies on the left.  I'd worry more about people who are supposed to oppose them and won't, like the Republicans, than what reporters won't do.  Stop blaming the left for being what they are.  Stop blaming "low information" voters.

You ought to take your own advice, and stand up to this bully.  The cunts in the media won't do it because they are like peas in the pod, just like the big bully in the White House.

Blame shifting

Rush Limbaugh likes to talk about low information voters.

How can you blame people for not knowing something if they are not told something?

It would seem that someone like Rush Limbaugh would be the kind of person that would want to inform "low information " voters.

I agree that the we need the people to pay more attention to things and to care about things.  Not to be so gullible , but it is also up to those who are disseminating information to explain it to those who don't understand.

Finger pointing is not leadership.  We are getting plenty of that.

More on the death cult.  The problem with the death cult is that it does not build anything on its own or services its own. What the death cult intends to do is to destroy any other religion system that does not conform with its own.  The death cult is totalitarian in character.

Death Cult invades Poland

Looks like Lech Walesa has stepped into it with the Death Cult.  He said something that has gotten the pro homosexualists panties in a wad.

Walesa said in a television interview on Friday that he believes gays have no right to sit on the front benches in Parliament and, if represented at all, should sit in the back, "and even behind a wall."
Homosexuality is a part of the Death Cult because they cannot reproduce---unless it is by artificial insemination.   The Death Cult also pushes abortion, which will lead to population collapse eventually.  The Death Cult spells the end of any civilization.  It is why it is a Death Cult.

Lech Walesa is still a hero in my book.  Screw the Death Cult.

cannot be helped

My AT&T Internet service has been lost again, so I'm using this voice to text feature again to do a post.

A quick scan of the news finds this scientist has found a way to get around the Heisenberg uncertainty principle. Very interesting development. Could be significant in terms of using a real time communicator to communicate something very long distance: like between Earth and Mars.

The story is in the science recorder.com. The article does not say that it would definitely be useful for in realtime communicators, although it does say might be useful for quantum computing.

corrected

Update:

This appears to be an issue with my internal network and interface with the internet service. I've seen it before. It's just being picky about security. I'm using a different browser and it appears that the network finds that acceptable. Puh leeze.

First Horse(meat) Trading, Now 59% Of "Tuna" Sold In The U.S. Isn’t Tuna

Zero Hedge

This is just the latest revelation in the stealth inflation and food fraud theme I have written about frequently in recent months. The non-profit group Oceana took samples of 1,215 fish sold in the U.S. and genetic tests found that that 59% of those labeled tuna were mislabeled.

This sort of thing not only happens in Argentina, it is also happening here.  The official story is that there's no inflation.  Lower quality food is one way of inflating without raising prices.

ParaPundit: Argentina: Nothing Has Been Learned

ParaPundit: Argentina: Nothing Has Been Learned

The Economist succinctly and humorously captures their take on the Kirchner government deceit and violation of free speech with an article titled Don’t lie to me, Argentina

In an extraordinary abuse of power by a democratic government, independent economists have been forced to stop publishing their own estimates of inflation by fines and threats of prosecution. Misreported prices have cheated holders of inflation-linked bonds out of billions of dollars.

It is even more interesting to read the comments.

Managing perceptions does not work in Argentina.  It probably won't work in America much longer because the US Dollar will lose its reserve currency status.  It isn't a matter of if, but when.

Washington legislator says cyclists contribute to pollution by breathing harder

Therefore, they should be taxed more!  The guy who said this is a Republican.  He may not be serious, but some things are so dumb they shouldn't be said.

The Death Cult in action.

Precise Control to Enable Lighter and Stronger Construction....When applied to the right spots, this makes for a fender that’s as resilient as the one on your Prius, but much lighter. That translates to less weight to push, and a lighter car means more miles per gallon. And the current model has a curb weight of just 1,200 pounds.

Very interesting.  If a car can be made that light, a fuel cell could run it and it wouldn't need as powerful batteries.  It all means less weight and a more economical operation.

This could result in a more rapid prototyping for mass production.  However, it will still need mass production in order to get economy of scale and reduce costs.

Words mean things, says Rush Limbaugh

Yes they do.  Two years ago, I wrote a post in connection to the meaning of words.  I wrote that:

In my profile, I mention one of my favorite books: Roget's Thesarus. Why that book? I guess you can say that I am a student of semantics which is the study of the meaning ( of words). When I write or speak, I want to be sure that I am using the right word to express what I want to express. Words are the tools of thought and communication. Since my goal is to communicate effectively, I want to be sure about the words that I am using. When I say that I am student of semantics, I want to be sure that I am not misrepresenting myself as an expert on the subject. Rather than be an expert, I just want to do it adequately.

I've been using the phrase "death cult" a lot lately.  Maybe it is time to review what the term "cult" actually means according to this version of an online Thesaurus.  Filling in the text box, the word cult gives two synonyms:  heterodoxy and belief.  Well that doesn't quite get the job done, so let's look at a dictionary:
a. A religion or religious sect generally considered to be extremist or false, with its followers often living in an unconventional manner under the guidance of an authoritarian, charismatic leader.
b. The followers of such a religion or sect.

So, what is the justification for calling the leadership of this country a "death cult"?  The leadership would have to be extremist or false, living unconventionally, under the guidance of an authoritarian charismatic leader.

Is Obama extremist?  At the very least, he associates with people who are quite extremist.  Bill Ayers was a member of the Weathermen.  These people wanted to kill their opponents by the millions.  His followers seem to have an unusual attraction towards Obama that defies rationality.  He is said to be charismatic, at least to his followers.   With these considerations, it does appear that Obama is getting awfully darned close to a cult figure.  The people following him are blindly devoted to him, or if not, they are giving a very, very good imitation of being so.

But what about the "death" part of the phrase "death cult"?  Now, Obama got into office with the idea of "changing" this country.  Just exactly what is it that he is inclined to "change"?  Doesn't he want to change our Republic into a dictatorship?  Doesn't he want to change our capitalistic system in a socialistic one?  He denies these charges, and/or his followers do.  But how do you square that with ObamaCare?  What is the justification for overturning our system of healthcare and putting it under federal jurisdiction?  He did say that he'd like to do the same with the rest of the economy.  He said that.  So, why isn't that considered socialistic?  He's not a dictator?  Didn't Woody Allen say he wants Obama to be a dictator?  Did Obama's recent statement that his not being a dictator is a "problem"?  It is thus fair to say that Obama's notion of change means death of America as it was, and the beginning of it being something else?  That something else has been the same type of government that has been responsible for mass killings in recent history.  If he is successful at "change", he could be getting us to commit suicide in a literal sense.

I suspect that the term "death cult" will be considered too harsh a term, even with this evidence.  But closing your eyes to reality doesn't make the reality go away.

The "death cult" is bigger than Obama, though.  The "death cult" is leftism in general.  Leftism is at war with America, always has been.  Obama is the latest manifestation of what they intend for this country.

The "death cult" is postmodernist in thought.  There is no truth, there is no free will.  This paves the way for a cult figure to take over the culture and direct it towards his own ends, according to his own will.  If not checked, it will result in a cult of personality.  If Obama isn't that, he is getting awfully darned close to it.

The "death cult" is spreading and the malaise arising from it is intensifying.  It is almost if he has put the entire country into a trance.  At some point, enough people will have to wake up and stop this cult, or we will all sink into it and be lost.  What happens after that will not be pleasant nor pretty.

I know I intended to be detached from my writing.  This piece is as objective as I can make it, though.  There are limits to everything, including objectivity.  It is hard to be objective about something that you care about.  Even if you don't care about this country anymore, you can at least care about yourself.  One's own death is not easy to be objective about.  Even there, I am attempting to do so.  I think that this cult will lead to a lot of death and destruction.   I don't think I am using the words lightly and without thought.

When Obama accepted the nomination for President, he gave his acceptance speech in a large stadium at night.  This was reminiscent of what Hitler did.  The comparison with Hitler was probably too much then, but what about now after four years of this guy?  Isn't it time to say enough?

Words mean things as Limbaugh has said.  But what does it mean to oppose?  You will either oppose this or you won't.  There can be no middle ground.  There can be no compromise with truth.  This is true or it isn't.  Unless you are a postmodernist, and then it makes no difference.

Update:

So, what does this have to do with making money?   It means that this is a development that needs watching.

For if death cult is pervasive as I think it is, it includes the Republicans as well. They do not adhere to truth, they only appear to be in opposition to the Democrats. They are in fact only pretending to be opponents to the Democrats and it's all a big act.

Best thing to do is to separate from the Republicans if they won't to oppose the Democrats.  By continuing to support the Republicans,  they are instead only enabling the death cult to continue to grow and spread.

This means collapse, probably in the form of a loss of the dollar's reserve status and a hyperinflation.  Once that happens, the government will no longer be able to give away free money and there will be unrest as in Greece.

This means paper assets are risky if the debt issue is not solved satisfactorily.

Why it won't be possible to post direct from speech to text from smartphone

Below is an attempt to create a post using speech to text from an app that I installed yesterday.  The output was unintelligible without massive editing.  The "results" are below:

This is my second attempt at putting a lot of text here.   I didn't intend some of the output, and I'm going to have to use a lot of the editing so that I get the the text to look correct.  It stopped in a time out a short time and put in a whole lot of stuff that I didn't say in here, so I think I want to train this thing to recognize my voice, and put out a proper text file.   It has a lot of junk in there, and I'll look dumb, and so the continuation of the software does show that it does put in stuff that I didn't say, and it looks dumb, but doesn't make me look dumb, it looks dumb instead.  I'm adding to it as I go along and I'm ending up with that long text file.

Okay I want to talk about what I did today on the smartphone and also on on the website.   This smart phone, been practicing with it so this voice to text so I can do the post the directly to my blog.   I should say potentially directly to my blog, just try a sharing it with the audience.   I must speak very terribly because this thing cannot to get the words right and I'm putting in stuff I didn't want to say.  Stuff I didn't want to say what I'm saying is I'm practicing with this smart phone not the whatever it said that and I forget what it said it said something else.   Besides the smartphone, I want to say also about the blog's software. Can you make any sense at all?   Would have said this is the third part that adding to this, but I guess a blog entry is too challenging to do directly, as it looks like it so I'm not saying anything that I wanted to say. I wanted to talk about blogging software for my blog--- not what it said--- it is saying something else.  Okay, the blogging software... I think it finally said I was talking about blogging software!  Okay I did that today, plus reading a book about HTML for dummies... repeat HTML for dummies, after repeated everything several times... HTML for dummies.  Anyway, this thing is not putting down what I'm saying and it said it has to be added to the lot so I don't know if I can I don't know if I can post directly from the speech to text because it is too many errors in it.
