AGW debunking, exponential functions v linear functions

This may not be the best post to illustrate the difference between the two types of functions. In order to get to the heart of the matter quickly, because people attention spans are so short, lets just say that linear functions increase slowly, whereas exponential functions increase much faster.

For those who are a bit more patient, here's a video describing the difference.

This applies to AGW because of the energy requirements in order to move mass is exponential. This cannot be obtained by capture of an energy source. At best, a capture is but a fraction of the energy that goes in, it cannot be an exponential of it. I hope this is simple enough of an explanation. That's because the AGW discussion is ridiculous on its face. But here we are after over 30 years of this AGW nonsense, it won't die.

Quayle Bentsen debate

This bit of history came up again yesterday as I scoured the web. Yep, you'll search and search and search for answers, but the answer has always been inside of you from the beginning. The meaning is this: Quayle simply did not have the presense of mind to adequately respond to Bentsen's challenge.

It pretty much ended Quayle's career. But it might have made him. To be fair to him, he just wasn't prepared for what was about to hit him. But what does that have to do with what we face today? I think EVERYTHING. Bentsen went rogue, and Quayle couldn't deal with it. The Democrats have sensed weakness, and have been going at us this same way for the last 30 plus years. Democrats have gone rogue. Basically, the only response from the conservatives at this junction is the same weak response that came from Quayle --- "that was uncalled for, Senator". Sorry, but if this is all we've got, then we must turn to someone and something else.

Trump ain't no gentleman, but Quayle was. We tossed Quayle aside, and now we've got thugs running the show. The proper response has already gone down the road, friends. We have a population that is not impressed with the niceties of civilized behavior. Acting civilized in the fact of a boorish thug is only going to get your teeth kicked in.

Nikki Haley is absolutely not the ticket. Even Trump may not be adequate for what we face. The Democrats keep invoking the specter of Hitler. Maybe Hitler is what they are creating by their own swinish behavior. We might need a Hitler to go back at them the way they are going at US. If the conservatives won't defend us, we'll have to go somewhere else. It's that, or have them continually rubbing our noses in the dirt.

Let's put it another way. The Democrats claim to hate Hitler, but they really admire him. If they are going to go down that road, we must have a response to it. Again, to put it another way. The Democrats are creating another Hitler. They must have loved the guy after all. If Trump can't cut it, we may need a far worse corrective. The Democrats are really asking for it, so they cannot complain when it comes.

What could have Quayle done to redress the harm done to him by Bentsen?  Anybody ever thought about that?

The verbal attack on Quayle was a hit below the belt.  When you do that while challenging the man personally, it can be potentially dangerous.  It wasn't in this case, but there has been at least two cases in history in which a pair of political figures crossed lances.

One resulted in a death of Alexander Hamilton in a duel with Aaron Burr, then Vice President of the United States.  The other involved a member of the House and a Senator.  I'd have to look it up, but I think it was Preston Brooks who attacked Charles Sumner in Congress.  Physically attacked him in so brutal a fashion as to put him out of commission for awhile.

Too many people don't realize what they are doing sometimes.  Hopefully, I won't make that mistake, but it is always possible to make mistakes.

I'm not the only one who is capable of making mistakes.  Anyone is.  Therefore, instead of criticizing Quayle, he should be commended on his self control.  Bentsen should have been censured for his rudeness.  But that's not the way the public saw it.  That's what I  mean.  You don't know what you are doing sometimes, and it can be a big mistake.  You may see a situation spiral out of control.  It behooves us to show a little prudence in the way in which we conduct ourselves.

But that may be asking too much.  Perhaps Quayle's response really was evidence of a lack of ability.

There's several new terms floating around out there. I'm behind the times, but I have quaint ideas about language. I believe in using the English language. But the language is evolving as we get deeper into the shit.

There's this new one I looked up called FAFO. I know what it means now. But there are others. The use of memes and so forth. Just use English, but then again, today's generation needs pretty pictures. In case you haven't noticed, I've been using a lot of those myself. Pretty pictures for empty headed fools.

The latest propaganda stream is to get all of you reassured that WE are winning. I have to call out bullshit again. It is more gaslighting. If we were really winning, the Senate wouldn't have screwed us with this stupid bill. The wolf just took a giant bite out of our asses, and we are bleeding profusely.

But the propaganda says we are winning. No. This is the latest bullshit to keep you quiet while they ram their dicks up your asses. Have fun!

This will be something that the Trekkies will understand. The no-win scenario, aka Kobayashi Maru scenario presented in Star Trek II, "The Wrath of Khan". That's the movie. What about one of these in real life? Is our current situation a Kobayashi Maru scenario? Is there a way to win? Or all we screwed no matter which way we go?

The kinds of things that cross my mind, I tell ya. Of all things to be thinking about, that's what I'm thinking about today. You can outline the problem, but what are your proposed solutions?

The usual thing for the "gimme, gimme" crowd is to let them have their way. But letting them have their way is what got us into this mess. As Einstein once said, "the mind that created the problem cannot be the mind that solves it". I say giving in to the gimme, gimme crowd is what got us into this mess. Of course, the gimme gimme crowd will say something entirely self-serving, which is what they excel at. We stand close as ever to Doomsday, and Biden is in charge. If you hold him accountable, then he has to go. But the gimme gimme bunch will never concede their failures. Otherwise, they wouldn't be in the gimme, gimme tribe. But the gimme, gimme bunch wants to always be in charge no matter how bad things get. They'll never be held accountable---ever. It will always be rigged that way, whether you like it or not, you will have to live in that bed forever. But they'll say "democracy!". What kind of democracy is it when you have no choice?

A sensible country that has democratic institutions that actually work, will eventually tire of the gimme, gimme crowd. But the gimme gimme crowd is not about to allow that. When you start seeing things that way, then you'll know that their crying and moaning about democracy is just another one of their con-jobs. Falling for the con-job is what got us into this mess. If you cannot see that, then you are truly in a no-win scenario.

I say the GOP starts winning again when they start paying attention to the boys, and stop paying so much attention to the girls. The boys are at the tip of the spear in the culture war. The boys know it. But do THE REST OF US know it? Right now, the boys are taking it on the chin. That is because the girls have been favored. Now that we need our boys, we won't have them. That's because they have been emasculated. Somewhere in the past, the gimme gimme crowd convinced the culture that the boys were the problem. Now that we've got the boys marginalized, and we need them, we don't find them. The boys WANT to be girls now, because the girls are favored. Who's going to do the fighting now that we need them? No more boys. But the culture made that choice to marginalize the boys. Why should anybody be surprised that the men have disappeared?

The youth vote is vital for the gimme gimme crowd. The girls are organized. The boys aren't. Who's going to win this fight? It doesn't look too good when the Speaker of the House for the party that is supposedly the opposition to the gimme gimme bunch starts to blubber like a girl when things get tough.

And the women wail, but "where are the MEN"? You women voted for the gimme gimme bunch. Now you've got them. Maybe if you let them have their way again, you'll never get rid of them. The boys will be gone for good. THERE WILL BE NO MEN. Do you like that solution? Or would you like to try to bring the boys back, and make them into MEN again?

If you can't or won't address that problem, then it's Kobayashi Maru baby.

Here's another bit of good news. Sadly, I stopped using Ivermectin. For all I know, I may end up getting "COVID" because of my neglect. Sorry, it's not because I don't believe in it. Things are far, far too gone in this country to want to live to be 100.

If anyone notes a touch of despair here, this update may give SOME insight. This Limits to Growth thing has been a type of demonic possession of the Western psyche for the last 50 years or so. It's demonic because it is false, absolutely so.

Something happened today that reminded yet again of this demonic presense that has poisoned the minds of the people of this country. As I've mentioned before, again and again, the molten salt reactor was invented over 50 years ago, and it could have supplied us with virtually unlimited energy. But it was never developed because the powers-that-be put their veto upon it. They turned nuclear energy into a bogeyman, and it withered on the vine. Before it was totally destroyed, some scientists ( and patriots ) found it. The Obama Administration, having failed in its attempt to destroy, gave it away to China instead.

The so-called Energy Crisis of the seventies was fake and totally unnecessary. That's for multiple reasons. People of the time thought so, but the corrective action wasn't taken. Instead of correcting, it has grown like a cancer and now has fully blossomed into a deadly cancer upon the body politic.

If you have unlimited energy, you have all you need for everything. Without it, you have nothing. That is precisely what is being foisted upon us now. You will have nothing and be happy. Didn't they just now start telling us that? People in this country has fallen hook, line, and sinker for it.

Climate science is fake, and part of the same phenomenon. Everything on the political left is based upon it.

Don't want to be a pessimist, but if you people persist in listening and servicing people who hate you, you are going to get your asses killed.

It would have been a good time back at the time of this post to mention Dennis Wingo's piece on Watts Up With That blog, in which he is quite critical of the Limits to Growth paradigm.  He summarizes his piece thusly:

There is a future out there, a glorious one, that while it may not solve all of our problems, it will certainly get us beyond these artificial limits to growth.

We are being held back by this Limits to Growth paradigm.  It is time to consider something new, like off world energy and resource development.

Not exactly news since the story was on July 26th.

There's a memorial service about this time as I write this.  It is being held in his hometown of Galveston.  I was in Galveston today.  If it weren't for that, I wouldn't have known.

Mitchell was quite important in these parts.  A few things I didn't know:

• He was a pioneer of "fracking", which is helping the US reach energy independence
• He was born in Galveston.  He helped revitalize the city.  He brought back Mardi Gras, a tradition that had faded after World War II
• He sponsored Dennis Meadows' work, which is connected to the Club of Rome.  He contributed greatly to the concept of sustainable development.

Not that I was completely unfamiliar with the man.  I recognize his picture, of course.

The Club of Rome and Limits to Growth occurred at about the same time that the economic clout of the USA peaked.  A mere coincidence?

Certainly, Mitchell was a giant in his field and a very powerful man.  But the connections to Limits to Growth was not one of his better ideas.

This looks like a good thing. As I was saying before, it is better to remain positive. There's plenty of negatives out there, and it can become overwhelming.

So, in the interests of keeping spirits up, here's something that looks good. Maybe there are those who have already heard of it. But it is news to me. Not saying that I'm on top of everything here.

Bongino was talking about this awhile back. Every conservative should be doing things like this. But I have a feeling that it may take more. So, it is going to be necessary to reach down deep, deep, deep. These people aren't going down easy. ( or at all)

 I do Twitter ( X ) these days.  It seems that the long knives are out for the guy, and they are swarming over him.  Also, there's a report out that is unfavorable.

I unfollowed him because of all the noise being generated against him.  It's coming from the same people who are selling us out, and destroying this country.

Too bad that I had to do that.  I don't necessarily buy into what the haters are saying, but the hate is intense and real.  You can't follow Elon Musk without this tidal wave of hatred being spewed in his direction.

My feeling is that it's a movie. It isn't real, but it IS. The movie is Star Wars, The Empire Strikes Back. Yoda is telling Luke about the force. Luke says "I'll try." But Yoda says, "Do or do not, there is no try".

Sometimes a thing seems frickin' impossible. Like lifting that spaceship that's sinking into the water with nothing but the "force". But we're probably too late to this situation. Not that I didn't see it coming. I said back in 2020 that we can't make it four years with the guy Biden in office. It may be have been 100% correct. No belief in some magic nor miracles is going to achieve the impossible.

In spite of all that, it could still be possible to win. How? There's going to have to be a 180 degree change in attitude from people, and the change will have to be such that it cannot be overlooked or ignored. But the odds of doing this is nothing short of miraculous. Pray for a miracle. That's what it will take now. One's attitude is THE one thing that do a 180. But to get an entire nation to do this would indeed be a miracle.

Yeah, but the politics of it are going strong. Why does the preoccupation with this nonsense remain a fixation of the body politic? By the way, there is yet another lawsuit by environmentalists groups that will delay the next launch of the Starship slated for March. All of these obstructions are part of the plan to punish Musk.

The lawusits should be dismissed with extreme prejudice. There should be no more delays. We have seen enough of this kind of thing. Also, Griffin was NASA administration during the BUSH administration. If Trump is re-elected and he chooses Griffin, it should be considered an extreme betrayal.
