Why does the US government hate its own people?

11/25/23: Update of 4.2.18 post::

Oikophobia is the problem in the West. It isn't Islamophobia nor xenophobia. The powers-that-be gaslight the people telling the people that it's THEIR own fault, rather than those who in power taking the responsibility for what happens on their watch.

Updated 4.2.18:

When you've been at it for seven plus years and over 11k posts, you probably have covered everything at least once.  I was just thinking about this while out doing some chores.  I came back home to look it up, and there's plenty to choose from on this subject of oikophobia.

This business is hard to understand sometimes.  If you vote for somebody who insults you, you must not think much of yourself.  Any self-respecting person may come to despise this leadership class of ours, yet people still fall for their tricks.

Would you marry somebody who made it plain as day that he/she had no respect for you whatever?  Then why vote for these creeps?

Perhaps you people don't get that these people don't respect you.  But why should they respect you when you fall for their bravo sierra time and time again?

Trump should have an 80% approval rate.  If you put this country first, you should be popular as all get out.  Yet people want to believe that we should put anybody and everybody first except our own people.  Go figure.

It's called oikophobia.

The political class is always lecturing us about xenophobia and Islamophobia.  But we don't see anything about oikophobia.

We don't have civil defense against a nuclear attack.  We don't have missile defense against a nuclear attack.  Our only defense against such an attack is retaliation, and Obama wants to do away with that too.  Then we'd be wide open.

There's no reason for this but oikophobia.  But nobody seems to be worried about it.

The so-called educational system down rates our own history all the damned time.  Patriotism is a bad word. Even former President Bush said something to the effect that "nationalism" is a threat to America.  It seems there's no relief to this self-hatred.  It is everywhere.  Heck, the liberals hated Bush because he at least tried to defend this country.  If he had defended it better, they would have revolted, most likely.

Our enemies, like Al Qaeda types must see this and see we that we a ripe for the taking.   Meanwhile, Obama and his supporters fail to see the significance of Obama refusing to come to the aid of his own countrymen ( if Obama is even American at heart, legally he is American) on the anniversary of 9-11.

Not only did Obama refuse to aid his countrymen at Benghazi, he went on television and blamed us for our own values, which include FREE SPEECH.  And the people re-elected him.  HOW IN THE WORLD DOES THIS HAPPEN?  It only happens when people are taught to be self-loathing.  The correct response kicked in and the people responded just like they were taught.

In a former time, this wouldn't have happened.  Try to imagine a similar outcome after Pearl Harbor.  Looks to me like the Imperial Japanese attacked us about 60 years too soon.  If we were this way 60 years ago, the US would have surrendered after Pearl Harbor.

Something has snapped and broken in this country.  A good place to start in order to fix this is to do something about this self-hatred.

The crazy just keeps on getting crazier

Update on the post of 10/17/23:

Noticed a pattern here... The Democrats like to exploit problems that they create themselves. So they inspire the crazies to go out and kill people in order to encourage Democrats to pass gun control laws.

There are many examples of this. COVID madness is another. They created the madness, then they exploited it. Yet another example is the January 6th riot. The create a riot, then they exploit it.

Update on the post of 11/16/21:

Took a gander at the latest Rasmussen Poll. Biden is up to 46% again. All of this because of what happened in Israel, no doubt.

What the public isn't getting is this: Biden's policies resulted in the terrorist attack. Continuing the approval of him only comforts the terrorists. That means that it is working for the terrorists and for Biden. To me, this is rather perverse. There has to be an explanation besides just plain insanity.

But that may not be the case. That's really quite scary.

We had our own terrorist attack on 9/11/2001. There's no guarantee that there won't be another. It would seem that people would have learned their lesson. But not yet, it seems.

If there was accountability, Joe Biden should not be receiving rewards for failing to stop the attacks on Israel. But that is how it looks from where I sit. That's crazy.

I tried to take a step or two away from this rising nuttiness going on in this country and in the world. But it seems to be growing and growing until it involves us all whether you want it to or not. So, here I go again.

There was a school board meeting in Fort Worth, in which a black man threatened to bring an army of a thousand soldiers if they don't get their way on CRT. Er, no. This isn't what so-called conservatives do; and if it is wrong to protest, like on January 6th,then why do these people of the left get to make threats like this one?

Stuff like that sends my blood pressure up. Consequently, I'd like to blow it all off for awhile, but... it won't go away. The more the sanity seems to be coming back, the nuttier they seem to get. There will be an explosion, but you cannot turn away. This kind of blatant intimidation must not be allowed to succeed. This is what happens when you feed it. It grows and grows until you get something like this... The left is in power now, and they will never put a stop to things like this because that's who they pander to. Their pandering is what feed the crazies like this and we get this kind of gangster behavior.

I don't think Joe Biden really won. No way he got that many votes. But I do believe that a lot of people voted for him because they believed that he would end the turmoil. Well, the problem with that kind of thinking is that the cause of the turmoil was not addressed. There's no way you should be appeasing the kind of mentality that was demonstrated in the previous four years with all the anti-Trump nonsense. If it were based upon anything REAL that would be different. But it was typically made up bravo-sierra. When that didn't work, they brought out the intimidation. Lots of folks may have been intimidated. And still are. But something is going to have to stop this.

On the other hand, those who should be against this, will continue to appease it. This is why it will be very, very difficult to put a stop to it. When I think of it, I think a bit of realpolitik may be necessary in order to gain the most broad support to bring the infrastructure down that can tolerate this kind of intimidation. I'm referring to the never-Trump crowd. Such a thought seems implausible in the extreme, but we should have 80% of this country opposed to gangster poltics like this. If they won't come to the table, how can a war be avoided?

But gangster politics is what we have now. Joe Biden might as well be a gangster. Look at his history. The dude is a crook. We are in the hands of gangsters. Otherwise, things such as this would not be allowed. Biden could be in the throes of old age and dementia, but he is still a crook. So are a lot of others. We have to do better than this.

The polls say Biden's numbers are really bad. But some of that may be manufactured. I see the Rasmussen polls still having him in the low 40's. This dude should not have that kind of support. When an irresistable force meets an immovable object, there is cataclysm. Could that be in our future? Maybe.

Valuable book!

November 24th, 2023: Update to last update of 10/14/23:

He seems to not know why Drudge went pinko

If you read this book, you would have some insight to what may have happened. I heard some rumblings that Drudge is a homosexual. The KGB loved to use homosexuals. They knew something about homosexuals, which made them prime targets for espionage.

The book has a number of real life stories about the KGB. One of them involved one of the biggest espionage coups of the Cold War. It was in that chapter in which the reasons for the KGB's interest in homseoxuals for espionage, was explained.

If you have that insight, then this business with Drudge would be no mystery. Drudge was exploited, and the homosexuality angle was undoubtedly the means of attacking him. I'd bet on it if I were a gambling man.

end update:

Oct 14, 2023: Update of post written on 7/9/21:

The book is still highly priced, but there doesn't seem to be one that was off-the-charts-high anymore. Perhaps it was a signed copy, or was valuable for some unspecified reason... There is always the possibility of a different explanation... Just saying that there could be reason that I got something wrong.

The reason for this post is the recent terrorist event in Israel. Some of the reaction to it reminded me of what happened on 9/11/2001 in this country. People were blaming Bush for "letting it happen". I didn't believe it back then, but today? Who knows? In a sense, the elites in this country did in fact "let it happen" because of their open border policies. Anybody could get into this country and commit a horrific terrorist attack like that. That's true today, too.

There was a time in this country when a KGB spy disguised as an American could not get past the FBI for a single day. The story of that is in this book. I wrote about the spy who flipped, one Kaarlo Tuomi, in another post.

This is one reason I support Donald Trump. He's the first to make it his goal to build a wall on the southern border. Here is something that should have been done all along, and the border was secure until 1965, until one Senator Edward Kennedy got new immigration laws passed. We might as well not have any border at all now.

The Israelis have a wall. It didn't stop this. However, imagine their situation if they didn't have a wall. Besides, any wall could be overcome if the will existed to do so. Also, the reverse is true. If there was the will to defend the border, the border would be defended. This crew won't defend our borders, nor anything else that matters about the country.

Why did it happen in Israel? Who knows? But Netanyahu has had his troubles with the opposition over there. Just like Trump has had over here. I am not so sure about anything being said right now, no matter who says it---with respect to the Israeli leader. I've seen a lot of unjust crap being hurled at Trump lately too.

The question should be asked is this: does the leader have the will to defend the country? I think Netanyahu does. I think Trump does too. As for the Democrats, I am convinced that they could not care less for Israel nor the USA.

This may sound partisan, and to a certain extent it may well be, but the Democrats have latched on to some pretty exotic stuff this last 15 years. One thing is certain, the communists wanted to conquer the USA, and it looks like they are close to doing it. It seems mighty strange to have a large contingent of the GOP helping them to do it.

The Secret Work of Soviet Secret Agents by John Barron (1974)

The last post reminded me of this book, so I looked it up on Amazon. Incredible prices! A mass marketed paperback going for $69! A paperback version over a grand! Wow!

Yours truly read this book. It shaped my thoughts about the former Soviet Union that they would have such a thing in their country. When I write that the "Evil Empire" has moved to Washington DC, it is largely because I see the same kind of thing that was happening during the Cold War. It is now happening right here in the once "Good 'ol USA".

Why would this book be so valuable? Could some entity out there trying to take it off the market? It would not surprise me! Everything imaginable is being done to suppress truth from being found that something like that happening wouldn't be out of the question.

No way that this book would be worth this much unless something was going on.

Analyzing Studies (video)

"Research like a genius."

This is a Rumble video, so maybe YouTube didn't allow it on their platform.

Actually, the best way to analyze any claim is to assume it is false, and be very skeptical of any claim until you can verify it yourself. Einstein once said that if you cannot explain it to a six year old, you don't understand it yourself. Therefore, a lot of scientific jargon is meant to intimidate you, and get you to check your brain in at the door.

What makes a gas what it is? ( AGW discussion)

It has no form. A solid has a form. A liguid can go to low places, and assume that form. But a gas has no place in particular to go. It has to be entrapped, or it goes all over the place. This is implied in the equation PV= nRT, where P=Pressure, V=Volume, n=number of molecules of a gas, R is a constant, and T=temperature.

You don't need such an equation for a solid. Just its dimensions.

But a gas needs to be measured by variables. The letters are variables in an equation. This implies changeableness. For liquids and solids, you can measure dimensions. How can you measure the dimensions of a gas? You cannot. It has no such thing.

For a thing that has no dimensions, how can it trap anything at all? But gases are said to trap heat. It isn't the gas that traps heat, it is the mass that traps heat. The more dense a substance is, the more capacity for heat retention. Don't believe that? Just note how long the kitchen stove stays hot after its heated up.

Let's look at another example. A black hole has a gravity well so deep that light cannot escape. Light is an electromagnetic wave. Heat is an electromagnetic wave. The thing that traps the heat and the light is the density of the matter in a black hole. Since a black hole is as dense as matter can get, it is prime example of how matter traps heat ( and everything else).

Check out this video. It is how gravity bends light.

AGW is bunk because gases cannot trap heat, or anything else. A gravity well can. Chemical reactions may affect heat absorption. Dense materials can, if there's enough mass. But a few parts per million in the atmosphere? No frickin' way.

Just Dropped In

The turkey didn't make me sleepy. It wasn't even turkey anyway. It was a steak. The only reason I mentioned what I had was in order to irritate the pinkos. They hate beef.

There's the usual football. They hate that too. Bwah, hah, hah!

The Angry Astronaut throws his two cents in

Pardon me if I get a little impatient sometimes with the assumptions of certain people. This Angry Astronaut has a "touching" faith in the goodwill of government bureaucrats. Yours truly has seen enough in these last several years that dispels any such faith.

The bureaucrats mostly care about themselves. Just like everybody else. That may seem excessively cynical, but it is the only thing I can think of that makes any sense of what's happening today. In other words, nobody gives a shit about anything that is outside their own skins.

Oooh! That's too cynical. Okay, maybe so. But the idea of pure hearted government officialdom is just too damned naive for me to believe either. There's been too much of the otherwise in recent history. If they were such sweet angels, there would be a perfect world. Everyone should know better than that. Otherwise, you are wearing rose colored glasses.

Another perspective on the recent Starship Launch

He makes some valid points, I think. There are those who have said that this was an intentional destruction of both vehicles, but he has an opinion that's otherwise.

The lack of onboard camera footage seems like a valid criticism also. Is this a purposeful deletion in order to fend off criticism?

The comment section really gets negative. At that point, I have to say this is a bash fest. There are valid concerns about meeting the deadlines, but excessive regulation doesn't help. IFT-2 could have launched a lot sooner.

There's a political component to the carping as well. So, I'll take a lot of this with a grain of salt. But there are some valid criticisms.

It even has a homework assignment. How quaint.

Discouragement Fraternity is not just for real estate

If you've read Robert Ringer's Winning Through Intimidation, you'll recognize the term in the title. It's been awhile, so I don't recall the exact definition. However, it is pretty self-explanatory. That is, there seems to be a group of people dedicated to the notion that a particular endeavor is really too hard to even attempt. This creates a self-fulfulling prophecy of people who won't try it because it is just so gosh darned hard. When I read that Asteroid Mining is one of those gosh darned too hard things to do, the term comes to mind.

It is especially true now that SpaceX's Starship has launched for the second time. There seems to be so many who want to discourage the attempt to even launch the thing in the first place. Once it launches, the naysayers latch on to whatever went wrong. It exploded!, they shriek. Yes, it exploded. But the first stage is usually dumped into the sea anyway. An explosion there is hardly a setback. The second stage also exploded, but it reach 90% of orbital velocity for a mission that wasn't designed to reach stable orbit anyway. In other words, it was mostly successful, but you wouldn't notice that if you read the news.

Elon Musk's goals are pretty ambitious, though. He wants to get the cost to launch way, way down. If he gets it down far enough, a space mining mission becomes quite feasible. Consider this: if it costs a few million to get to orbit, then bringing back a half billion dollars in ore starts to make sense.

Musk is actually creating an entirely new economy based upon space. Discouragement is not called for. Instead, people should be cheering him on. But the Discouragement Fraternity doesn't lack members. You can blame that on the amygdala.   But not my ADD...

Climate science is bogus, real science may be in trouble

11/21/23: Update of yesterday's post:

Sometimes the asking of a question can lead to some insight. Ask Isaac Newton, who observed the apple falling, and started asking questions. It led to insights about gravity. Where would modern physics be if it were not for Newton's questions?

With that in mind, maybe one could ask a question about this question---How long does it take for lava to cool?

Thick lava flows can remain hot for decades. Now that is heat trapping, is it not? Note that under standard temperature and pressures, lava is merely rock. It is not a gas.

Obviously, what is normally a solid can hold heat for a very long time. It is a fact. How long would a gas hold its heat if it were freely able to expand into the universe? The answer is obvious---not very long.

end update:

It bears repeating that there is no such thing as heat trapping gases. By the way, what happens when heat is trapped? Heat flows from hot to cold, so something has to block the flow of heat. But what is heat? It is the energetic movement of atoms. Cold is the reduction of movement in the atoms, which stills down to nothing at absolute zero.

What happens to gases at absolute zero? Solid hydrogen can exist at that temperature. Generally speaking, gases will tend to either liquify or go to solid state when temperatures are close to absolute zero. It can be said then, as a general rule, that in order to change state from a solid to a liquid, and from that state to a gas, requires the absorption of energy.

Gases tend to spread out when they aren't being contained by some force. What holds a gas inside of a metal cylinder? It is the solid state of the metal that does it. What happens when a metal becomes liquid? Most metals are solid, but there are a few in liquid state at standard temperature and pressure. No gases are metal, there seems to be something fundamental about why that is so. Gases tend to be a low atomic number. That would also appear to be significant.

Metals may not be moveable at low temperatures. That' because of their greater mass. Therefore, it takes more energy to move the atoms, and thus raise their temperatures.

There's probabaly no scientific literature that claim what's coming next, but there does seem to be a strong correlation between the amount of energy required to heat a metal, as compared to heating a gas. Also, when a gas is heated, it tends to spread out if there's nothing holding it in one place. On the other hand, it takes a lot to melt a metal, and a great deal of energy is required to vaporize a metal, thus making it a gas.

While keeping its solid state, a metal is absorbing the energy. That can be said of it. On the other hand, a gas expands when heated, and while doing so, it cools down. Again, this is probably not in any literature, but gases are poor examples of heat trapping materials. If you want to trap heat, you use a metal. A gas will try to escape because it gets under higher pressure ( according to the gas laws). Higher pressure could break the container, and in doing so, the gas is freed, and can cool down.

In sum, something has to trap heat. That something is itself a force of nature, such as gravity or mass. Therefore, to trap heat in the atmosphere would require a lot of mass, or a deep gravity well. Also, chemical bonds may given enough force to hold the gas. But the gas itself cannot hold the heat for long without having something else to keep it from escaping.

If climate science was real, there would be no assertions of "heat trapping gases". The whole idea is absurd. It is against the nature of any gas to trap any heat. Indeed, it does the opposite. That is why AGW is total and complete bunk. For this foolish notion to persist means that real science is being shoved aside for the hocus pocus of the fake science of "climate science".

J6th tapes---news

On Jan 6th, 2021, police fired into peaceful crowd without warning says Jack Posobiec. I didn't examine the video that he is citing. However, I DO believe that nobody stood to benefit from the riot except the left. So why would Trump's people start one? Trump had nothing to gain, and everything to lose by starting a riot. The left had the opposite, and have been pushing it for all it's worth since that time. Cui Bono, indeed.
