Unsung heroes and well-known villains

Comment:

But the villains are well-known.  They are all over the mass media and popular culture.  It has been said that a lie will travel half way around the world before the truth gets out of bed.  The truth has been laboring patiently to be recognized and appreciated.

The people who dismiss what they call "conspiracy theories" push their own

Comment:

Lee Smith's name keeps popping up, but this one is nearly 3 weeks old.  Might be a good idea to remember his name.

After reading the tweeted link below, one observation is that without the media's complicity, the Russian collusion hoax, and this closely related new Ukraine hoax, would not see the light of day.

The media dismisses stories like Smith's here as "conspiracy theories", yet the Russian collusion hoax is a conspiracy theory, or there is no such thing.

Which one do you believe?  The media has been caught in lies before.  Why they have any credibility at all is one of the great mysteries of modern life.

The "Golden Calf" at the center of the scandal

Comment:

Obama saw the so-called "Steele Dossier" in August 2016, but that is not the official fiction.  He is at the center of a scandal that dwarfs Watergate.  Trump is getting too close to the "Golden Calf".

Impeachment drama can't last

Comment:

The idea here is that it is a race to see which goes down first-- the coup plotters or the President.

Hard to say for certain, but if the Senate vote to condemn the House "impeachment inquiry" is any indication, the effort to remove Trump will fail.

The real question is whether or not this will be a boost to the Dems chances to take over the White House in 2021.

Natasha Bertrand

Updated,

10.24.19:

Bongino has more on this today.  It looks like Brennan was keeping the FBI and Clapper out of the loop, and that could have been the reason for this:

Bongino isn't getting rose colored glasses on Comey and Clapper.  They should have known better.  It looks like Comey and Clapper have cover stories and Brennan is out on a limb.

10.23.19:

3:00 pm:

How Brennan could be in trouble.  It is how he handled the so-called Steele Dossier.  Bongino says Brennan's lying.  The FBI wanted to wire PappaD in his talks with Mifsud.  Why would they do that?  Bongino speculates that the FBI didn't know that the CIA was engaging Mifsud in a rogue operation.  Otherwise, why would they want to wire PappaD to record their own guy?

7:30 am:

I got lazy last night and didn't properly mention that Bertrand got something else wrong, and it is big.

She seems to be perpetuating the notion that Mifsud is a Russian agent, which is almost certainly false.

That is two keystones of the Russian collusion hoax.  The third one is the so-called Steele dossier, which is what may be the thing that gets Brennan into legal trouble.

It is not a vendetta, nor a conspiracy theory.  Not a conspiracy theory on the Trump side of the story, that is.

10.22.19:

When you are using somebody as a source for information, it may be useful sometimes to check out what they are saying, so as to determine if their information is accurate.

It makes sense to do that, I would think.

That could be especially true during a time of great controversies, such as the ones that exist today.

One thing about Bertrand.  She makes light of the Crowdstrike finding of a hack into the DNC servers with respect to the emails.  Those emails are the heart of the controversy involving alleged Russian interference in the 2016 election.  It so happens that I have looked at this and there is definitely a problem with how the FBI handled that.  They never looked at the DNC servers.  The FBI never checked out the Crowdstrike story.  All we have on that claim then is Crowdstrike's claim and the DNC's word on it.  This doesn't pass muster for an investigation, in my opinion.  But Bertrand seems to be okay with it.

There are other things that lead me to believe she has a political ax to grind.  She claims in this Politico article that Trump is conducting a vendetta against Brennan because of Brennan's rhetoric against him.  That is probably a prejudicial statement there.  A lot of the article falls into that pattern.  This would include the use of Crowdstrike's claims of Russian hacking of the DNC.  If you are going to really investigate a thing, you have to look at all of the facts, especially those that are not convenient to your preconceived notions.  If the hack wasn't a hack, there are big problems with the Russian collusion allegations.

But this is only the tip of the iceberg, so to speak.  If you are only going to consider those things that fit your preferred story, then how can you be taken as anything but a propagandist?  You are pushing "a" story, not "the" story.

It is hard to tell based upon one article such as this, but her bad reputation amongst the Trump supporters appears to have been earned.

Taylor's tunes hitting a few sour notes

Comment:

The key to understanding this "digging dirt" business is that there's some real dirt to dig.

Anybody who has a problem with ferreting out corruption is suspiciously corrupt themselves.  Democrats don't seem to be denying that there's "dirt", but they sure seem to have a problem with anybody looking into it.

Just the bear facts...

Comment:

Polar bears aren't endangered, but politically incorrect scientists might be.

Can you dig it?

Comment:

If there's no dirt to dig, then what's the problem?

Biden, the Obama ass kisser deluxe

Comment:

It may be impolitic to mention this, but truth is truth.  Biden is just another one of these people who will say anything and do anything.

Just the kind of guy the Democrats could nominate.  Not too different really, from Hillary.

Gun control is contrary to reality

A quick thought here based upon a story I read on Insty just now.  It seems that avocado growers are getting some prosperity from trading with the US.  This has attracted the criminal element, who are trying to muscle in on their HONEST business of growing and selling avocados to a willing market.

The only way for these HONEST growers to protect themselves from CRIMINALS is to organize themselves, and yes to ARM themselves.

All the more reason to reject the leftist calls to disarm.  Their motives are not good, and to agree with them only confirms the unreality of human nature.  Human nature is such that there are those who will try to take what they haven't earned.  They will do it by FORCE, and the only way that an HONEST man can stay HONEST is by defending himself.  This includes the use of DEADLY force if that is necessary.  It is the only way that will work.

The left doesn't care about this.  In fact, the left is in sympathy with the criminals.  You have to choose between an HONEST life and a CRIMINAL life.  Events will play out that force you to make those kinds of choices.  The reality of the situation requires it.

Anybody who agrees with gun-control is a mired in unreality, and is a fool for believing the criminal element, which seeks to disarm HONEST people.

It may be "secret", but we sure hear a lot about it

Update:

10.23.19:

More huffing and puffing today in the media.  Let's try to look at this from a different angle.  Let's say that the Democrats are exactly right about Trump pressuring the Ukrainians.

Even if they are exactly right, I find it too stupid to believe.  Why would Trump start all this when he has the Russian thing beat, and things are falling his way?

It doesn't make sense what they are claiming, even if they can corroborate it, it still doesn't make sense.  They expect anyone to believe that he was really worried about Joe Biden?  Seriously?  Even the Democrats don't believe in Joe Biden.

Finally, if the Democrats case is so rock solid, then why all the secrecy?

Sorry, I'm not buying what they are selling.  We've seen it before.

10.22.19:

The Star Chamber is leaking out what they want people to hear.  So one thing that they are leaking out is that there is testimony to the effect that Trump really did pressure the Ukrainians somehow, and this was contingent upon aid.

To me, even if it is true, it doesn't matter.  The Democrats huff and puff about the law being violated, but even if he did what they accused him of, so what?  There is probable cause for an investigation based upon what Biden said on tape.  Never mind the spin that they give about it.  It is a clear quid pro quo for firing an investigator in exchange for aid.

If Biden's act wasn't wrong, how can Trump's be wrong?  But Trump isn't wrong, and Biden was.  His son was spared an investigation.  He is at least wrong about conflict of interest.  This much at the very least.  Anything less strains the credulity of the most gullible, in my opinion.  There is more than sufficient evidence to begin an investigation, and it is a scandal that the American agencies weren't doing that already.

Trump isn't wrong, but they'll say that he benefited somehow.  I'm not buying it.  The Democrats don't care about corruption.  Hell, they live off of it.

As for this "secret" testimony, without cross examination, we don't know what if anything he actually said, and what if anything, what its true import is.

Just more bravo sierra as far as I'm concerned.

Liar liar pants on fire

Comment:

Democrats are using the SCIF ( which is for classified information ) for their own selectively secret Star Chamber tribunal.  Then they leak what they want the public to hear.  Pelosi compares her tribunal to a Grand Jury, but Grand Juries cannot expel their own members, nor can they talk to the media.

Yet Pelosi is out there claiming to be "for the truth".  Only in the alternate universe of post-modernist philosophy can something like this be considered as "truth".  It is "Nancy's truth", and nobody is going to disturb her truth, even if it is facts contrary to what she wants a majority to believe as truth.  The truth cannot get in the way of the truth.

Or, she has something to hide herself.  Could she be involved in the Burisma scandal herself?  So many Democrats seem to get rich while "serving the public interest".

Maybe Nancy is just a plain and simple liar.

Is Trump Achilles, or Boagrius?

Comment:

Democrats reported being dissatisfied with their emerging "champion" whoever that may be.

They are asking "Is there anyone else"?  Maybe they should join the Trump train.  Losing is a bitch.

Lynching

Comment:

Actually the thrust of the article linked to in the tweet is about precedent.  But I'd like to comment on the word "lynching" that Trump used.

Note the reactions, the things that hurt the Dems the most are the things they react to.  They reacted to the word "lynching" because of its association with race.  They believe that it will help them to attach the racism epithet to Trump for using the word.

However, a little thought on the use of the word reveals that it is correctly used.  Lynchings were held at night, in the dark, with masks on in order to conceal identities.

It works with with the "secrecy" of the Star Chamber that the Democrats are running in the House Basement.  Everything about it is dishonest.

That Trump uses it is something of a problem for them because it reminds the black folks of the past in this country.  It raises the question as to whether or not this practice has really ended, or that its practitioners have merely changed the tactics somewhat in order to suit their needs.

The Dems are corrupting the grounds upon which they stand.  If they had any moral high ground left, then they have definitely lost it now.  A naked appeal to race only makes it worse.

Rooster mashup

Comment:

If I were musically inclined, I could do this myself.  Instead, I borrowed a karaoke version of this song and mashed up some pics to it.

It is about this impeachment show the Democrats are putting on.  I think it is a mistake for them, but given the GOP's chronic failure to seize an opportunity, I'm sure they will make the least of it.

The dogs that won't bark

Comment:

8:30 am:

Sometimes these people say the funniest things.  Schiff is described as "widely trusted" in this piece.

Now that is funny.  He gets the minimum vote and he's "widely trusted".  Yeah, right.

8:00 am:

The vote was partisan, as can be expected.  But note that the only the minimum number of Democrats were willing to vote to support Schiff.

The vote was 218-185.  That means 32 votes didn't get cast.  Many of these would prefer to not take a stand one way or another because it would hurt their CAUSE.  Hard for me to believe that this should hurt the GOP as a party to vote against a flagrantly partisan effort.

Easier for me to believe that this hurts the Democrats.  Hence the many Democrats who won't vote.

Wretched hive of scum and villainy

Comment:

The list is distressingly long.

Reminds me of something...

Strange goings on

Comment:

Jews vote overwhelmingly for Democrats.  Well, here's what they'll get if Warren gets elected.

I haven't known many Jews personally.  But the one Jew I did know seemed mighty attached to Israel.  I haven't seen this dude for decades, so I wonder what he thinks of things like this today.  Support for Israel used to be automatic.

Withholding aid to Israel?  Boy, that should be heresy amongst the Jews.  But it may not be anymore, if this is any indication.

Nice work, if you can get it

Comment:

Why didn't I think of that?  /sarc

It seems like a slow day.  There's nothing new out there to write about, so I'll just take the day off.

Beware of the Star Chamber tactics

Comment:

The thing to really worry about is if this gets to the Senate, the Senate may use the same tactics. An honest and fair trial will cause the Democrat house of cards to collapse.  They know it too.

If the Star Chamber happens, then it is all in the hands of the people.  Truly, DC will have demonstrated that they are totally without honor or integrity.  I'm not so sure that they have enough of that quality in either house.  We'll see.
