Lara Logan's Rest of the Story: Clay Higgins

Once again, it is hard to understand why the GOP has let this drag out this long. Also, that they keep funding a government that is completely out of control.

Clay Higgins seems like an okay guy. If they were all honest, there would be no problems.

J6th was a set up because it doesn't make sense otherwise. The insurrection narrative is just plain implausible. What conceivable reason would Trump and the MAGA people do something like that? It makes more sense for the Democrats to fake something and call it an insurrection. Then use it as an excuse to install Biden to the Presidency. I suspect that a good many GOP elected officials were at least acquiescent in the fraud that took place. If there's any conspiracy, there's a conspiracy against the truth.

Starship Update as of 12/15/23

Daily update 1:

This update is a bit more recent.

I don't like the somewhat misleading title about destroying the pad. It's a bit too much like clickbait.

As for content, significant inefficiency has been identified. Moving the big ships around takes a lot of time. SpaceX needs to streamline that process.

end update 1:

the original post follows:

This one is a bit behind the time, hence the date discrepancy.

FBI has lost it, and so has the rest if the poll is right

"Fidelity" is now fecklessness. "Integrity" is now insouciance. "Bravery" is now Bunco artistry. It used to be FBI,  an acronym using the first letters of each quality of character representing the Bureau, but now it is FIB, as indicated. That's my opinion, plus there's this tweet, which says basically the same thing.

All of the government agencies need to be cleaned up, but do the people have the will to get it done? It is incredible the things that "we the people" put up with these days. Maybe there's not enough decent people left to turn this around. It's amazing the poll numbers you see. Young people want to "give back" Israel? For what? To people who kill babies? What kind of people do we have in this country now?

Western Civilization has a death wish, or so it would seem.

AGW headache, #119

NOTE: Typing AGW in the search box on the left sidebar should get you a number of posts with "AGW" in the title.

The following tweet features an article by Clarice Feldman. The money quote here is that humans account for only 5% of all CO2 emissions. Volcanoes account for much of the the CO2 emissions.

So, let's recap a few points: 1) Humans don't cause the vast majority of CO2 emissions, only 5%

2) Amongst the human sources, developing countries contribute far more, and the amounts are increasing. Evidently white humans' CO2 emissions count more for some strange reason.

4)Even if humans were to replace all the oxygen with CO2, the nature of gasses prevent much, if not all of a greenhouse effect.

4) It is impossible anyway because of the Laws of Thermodynamics, in particular ENTROPY tends to the maximum. You'd have to stop or slow down ENTROPY in order for temperatures to rise, and the UNIVERSAL LAWS OF GASES would squelch that. That's because ENTROPY is far greater force in the universe than the configuration of the CO2 molecule. Even black holes, which are so powerful that they can prevent light from escaping, cannot stop ENTROPY.

AGW theory is bunk. It is scam.

Dinesh D'Souza Launching Nationwide Conservative Business Network

D'Souza created the film that examined voter fraud in 2020 election. The Wikipedia entry for D'Souza describes him as "far-right" "conspiracy theorist".

The media has lacked credibility for years, and Wikipedia lacks credibility on social and political issues. Besides that, the use of the term "far-right" is a dead giveaway for Marxist viewpoints. Marxists will label anybody to the "right" of Lenin/Stalin/Mao as "far right" , or "fascist". The use of the right v left paradigm or model is decidedly in favor of Marxists viewpoints. The use of it for political analysis is highly suspect.

Biden Administration pushes back door gun control through the states

Guns aren't the problem. People commit crimes. Guns are inanimate. They don't get criminals' hands by themselves. Rudy Giuliani had a good plan for New York, and it worked. But Democrats love crime, and coddle criminals--they take care of their own. Then they gas light the people for "fearing crime", as if the people should embrace crime the way that they do. Of course, now Giuliani is the criminal, and the crooks are running amok.

Hill lawmakers exit at record pace

Maybe 10% turnover, assuming these are the only ones to go. A lot more ought to go, but we'll see.

Dems deeply afraid that Trump could do what they do

Maybe they'll impeach him a couple more times in advance, just in case he wins. /sarc

So called "Elites" aren't very elite

Daily update 1

ARE DEMOCRATS REALLY THIS DUMB?

Well, there was the Democrat Congresscritter who thought that too much weight on one side of Guam would tip it over.

The only thing that makes them "elite" is that somebody in authority says that they are. It isn't based upon merit, but who you are ( some "oppressed class member"), or who you know.

end update 1

last update resumes

12/14/23: Update to yesterday's post:

Academia is at the root of the Elite tree. Chop it down. The tree is rotten and infested with anti-American bias. The Dems are exploiting it in order to usher in a new type of government than the one that was intended by the Founders. The "Elites" mouth the traditions of America, but they speak insincerely. They do not honor America, nor its Founding documents. They are simply using these as cover for a type of soft coup.

The following link expounds a bit more about this rotten root of a rotten and dying tree. "DEI" should be renamed "DIE", for that is what they want for America.

The rot in academia is very deep-rooted

end update

begin the original post:

America’s Elites Are Not Fit for Purpose

This is a great read. Perhaps we will awake from the "woke" nightmare, and the system can be reformed.

Highlights: 1)"told me that when he read in the Harvard student newspaper that more than three-quarters of the university’s student population was taking anti-depressants,"

2) "What the world saw in that Congressional testimony was that these academic leaders live in the same country as their fellow Americans, but in different worlds."

3) "DEI (Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion) programs, both within universities and corporations. The name is perfectly Orwellian, for these programs are about the opposite of what they claim to support;"

4) "That imposition includes silencing dissenters"

5) "When you elevate leaders based not on actual accomplishment,"

6)"DEI is a political religion for these fanatics;"

Perhaps it is time to give them their hill (DEI) to die on. For if anything needed to die, it is this destruction of merit, and basic justice. An elitism that isn't cannot rule. As the article makes clear, the elites are unfit to rule.

Why the Democrats deserve to lose

12/14/23: Update to post of 12/11/23

Twenty percent of Democrats want Trump jailed for life, exiled, or executed

If you want mercy, should you not show mercy? There is something strange going on the Democrat hive mind collective. There is a disconnect between what standards apply to others than what standards apply to themselves. They want all the protections afforded by the Bill of Rights when they are accused, but do not want those protections to apply to those with which they have a political disagreement. Actually, this is quite troublesome if it's true.

This was explained in the so-called elite post. Such a viewpoint destroys our social compact. There cannot be any peaceful society with such an attitude dominating it. It's either surrender, and be forced to comply with their irrational expectations and thought processes, or fight them.

Not all are like that. But most are already convinced of Trump's guilt. How then can he receive a fair trial? The answer is that he cannot. A closed mind is not one that's persuadable. The thought that they could be wrong does not enter their minds. That big-time trouble dead ahead if this doesn't change.

end update

The original post resumes:

There is no doubt that Democrats support cancel culture and censorship. There is no doubt that Democrats are undermining the Bill of Rights.

But they whine about Trump's desire to correct their excesses. They are whipping up fear of Trump in order to escape any kind of accountability for their disregard of our social compact. They want to rig elections in their favor so that they'll always be in power. For the most part of the last 90 years since the beginning of the New Deal, the Democrats have dominated our culture. They are clinging to power, but the grip is loosening. They are desperate.

For this, the Democrats deserve to lose. It isn't a personal vendetta. It is the defense of our rights, and of our Republic. If the defense fails, freedom in this country will die.

The "company store" is now in Washington DC, and we may well owe our soul to it soon.

Where's the principle involved?

Biden's appeal is virtue signaling. If the principle is to save lives, why not end the war in Ukraine?

Or is Hamas more important than either the Israelis or the Ukrainians, or both?

All News Pipeline: "Totalitarian Three-Step"

Link via Whatfinger.

Article lists the methods used to water down our rights, until there aren't any rights left. (getting close, imo)

Article is based upon book called "Behind the Green Mask". I haven't read the book, by the way. The article gives a summary, I speculate. In that summary, there are things that I've noticed myself. I'm sure I've blogged about it, and for a fairly long time. Anybody can see these things if you would just open your eyes ( talking to the Democrats out there, and sadly, some Republicans too).

To see what I've written on the subject of "Limits to Growth", type Limits to Growth in the search box on the left sidebar of the blog. It makes a cohesive argument against Limits to Growth. Lefties like to talk about sustainability, but their ideas aren't really about that. It's not about what it is said to be about. It's about the revolution. Limits to Growth is just a prop for advancing the leftist revolution.

Hope is a thing, too.

It is not about revenge, it is about justice.

It is not about worshipping the powerful on Earth, but about God.

It is not about fear and hatred of the other, but about hope, and about praying for your enemies. That's because in truth, we all need to live together on this Earth, and hatred and fear has a dead end. That dead end is the death of the Republic and the death of freedom. It also means the literal death of a people---not just Jews and Christians, but all people everywhere. Let's hope that the enemies see the light, and change their ways. If not, then for those of us who agree, to perservere to the end.

Election fraud is a thing

12/14/23: Update to yesterday's post

With the possibility of a move to censor the Internet, news like this might be hard to find, or even impossible. Therefore, the urgency of this must increase. The word must get out while there is still time.

The House approved a formal impeachment inquiry, and it looks like the corrupt Biden Administration has a motive to censor the Internet so that adverse news cannot get out.

The following post adds to the story of voting fraud and censorship. It all fits together.

the original post of 12/13/23 follows:

It isn't about election denialism, it is about fraud denialism.

Let 'em deny this story. It has gotten so bad that they don't feel the need to hide it. The arrogance is in your face now.

Daily update (1) @ noon

The proof keeps rolling in. Votes were counted that shouldn't have been. "Election denialism" is an attempt to cover up the steal.

end daily update (1)

The fruits of censorship

12/14/23: Update of the post of 12/12/23

Is the Internet about to be taken over by the government for the purposes of censorship of dissent? Check this out.

Controlled Information Beta Test Underway?

end update:

begin original post:

Consider this quote from the Powerline blog:

It is hard to imagine a demographic so morally vacant as to be unmoved by the atrocities of October 7, but young Democrats are mostly in that category

But when confronted with the facts, some of the students changed their minds. Cancel culture and censorship are common on the academic scene. The fruits of censorship would appear to be ignorance.

What would the so-called Soros' Open Society, have to say about this? Probably more and more censorship.

Powerline is working hard on this issue, as there was another link to consider. Dan Goldman disputes the evidence of your own eyes. It's Richard Prior all over again. Who do you believe, me or your lying eyes?

The political left needs censorship because when the truth is known, they lose. Keep in mind that Elon Musk is in their crosshairs now for buying Twitter, and closing down their censorship at Twitter. Or at least some of it.

Al Gore Melts Down Over an Inconvenient Truth in X-Rant about UN Climate Summit Failure

Al Gore Melts Down Over an Inconvenient Truth in X-Rant about UN Climate Summit Failure

Even if the climate alarmists were right, the "solutions" won't work.

The best way to get to zero emissions would be to go nuclear. But the climate alarmists are also against nuclear energy.

The issue isn't the issue. It's not about climate. It's about revolution.

Posner and Rather discuss JFK assassination in 1993 CBS Special

Disclosure: I have never watched Posner, nor did I know about Rather being involved with a television special on that subject.

My objection was to Oliver Stone's movie, was made before the 1992 election. The CBS television special came after the election. Stone's film was intended to politicize the historical event for the benefit of Democrats, in my opinion. Consequently, I wrote a letter to the editor of the Houston Chronicle, in which I denounced the film as a fraud. The Chronicle did not print my letter. I recognized it as political, and intended for political consumption. There needed to be an answer to it. Indeed, a television program addressed the issue, but was it seen before or after the election? The answer is before.

Warning: The following video has an explicit nature. If gore sickens you, you may want to skip it.

Combinations

1-22-2011: There are times when a thing just won't stand on it own.  It needs to be combined with something in order to make it work.  Like a BLT sandwich.  Bacon alone just won't do.  You've got to add something to it in order to make it work.  Naturally you want bread for your sandwich.  But bacon and bread is too plain.  You need to add something.  Here's where the tomato comes in.  Slice up your tomatoes and now you've got a sandwich.  No, you forgot the lettuce.  It is BLT, remember?  You need to add lettuce to make it Bacon, Lettuce, and Tomato.  How about a condiment for that concoction?  I would prefer mustard, what would you have?  Mayonaisse, perhaps?

This seems like a silly post until you consider that this is a principle.  A thing doesn't stand on it own.  It needs to be combined with something to make it work.  Any other examples?  Nah!  I think it is self evident.  I won't waste the time.  It's true and everyone knows it.

What the heck did I just say?

Update:  1/22/11 approx 10:45

Actually, the above is in reference to using a combination of launch strategies in order to get something into position in space.  For example, to get stuff into LEO so that it can be launched on a mission to wherever.

Let's say use an airship to get crew to space, use Quicklaunch to get bulk materials and use VASIMR to tug it all to someplace far away.  Each strategy would be allowed to play to its strengths so as to minimize cost and maximize capability.

Again:  What the heck did I just say?

Update:  12/13/23 approx 6:45am

Let's keep it tasteful. Perhaps mustard on bacon lacks good taste. Some Grey Poupon perhaps?

Common sense v book sense

Dad used to like to say that there were two kinds of sense-- common sense and book sense. Being a kid with a skull full of mush, I didn't quite get it. To me, there was intelligence or stupidity. There were smart people and idiots. But experience has taught me that the old man was right. My college education did little good for me, and I could have used what he called common sense.

Has anybody seen the academics that actually despise common sense? But what is common sense? For my own defintion, I'd say the difference between common sense and book sense is an academic that cannot tie his own shoes versus a blue collar guy who can fix anything. Hate to say this, but that is like the difference between myself and my oldest brother. He has "common sense". He can fix anything. He has a great reservoir of practical knowledge. He used that knowledge to make a good living for himself. But here I am, having to depend upon him because I don't have enough of that quality myself.

I don't want to short change myself too much. I recognize the problem. But I haven't been making much progress in overcoming the deficiency. One thing is certain. I cannot begin to match what he has accumulated over a lifetime, but I can stop being so much of an idiot about certain things.

Like for instance? Like setting up basic living quarters. I think I can set up a shelter out in the woods, but I cannot make a house that pass modern day building codes. Nor do I have the knowledge to navigate through the maze of regulations. But he has done that, and he is actually doing that now.

As for me, all I can do is watch and try to learn. But I've done that in fixing cars, but I don't do it very well. Not to short change myself too much, but I cannot begin to match what he does. He is really good at it. Me? Not so good. But I might get by with a little elbow grease and a lot of advice from a wiser head.

So what good is this blog? Well, if there's anything I do well is to see different sides of a problem. I take this on the micro scale, and extrapolate out to the macro scale. I'd say this country is being run by a bunch of people with their heads up their asses. I can see that better than even my brother can. Too many times, it seems, he goes along with things that are probably not the best. Maybe that is his common sense, but I think it is failing him a bit.

Trouble is, he won't listen to his little brother. I can't fix everything, but I do know a wee bit about how the big picture works. Things are FUBAR in this country right now. My brother knows it too, but he doesn't exactly listen to what I have to say about it.

On the macro scale, the "leadership" is like that too. They may know certain things, but they don't know everything. Consequently, somebody with a little common sense can run rings around them. I think that is what Trump is doing. A guy in real estate has more common sense than these clowns.

I may be right too in thinking it is intelligence. If they were half as smart as they thought they were, we'd be twice as much better off. That's why they should step aside. The "elites" are screwing up the world because they don't have any common sense, and also, they don't have the intelligence to understand that they don't.

I can see both sides of the fence. I know both, and have seen both. They are screwing up, and they'll take us all down with them if they aren't stopped. Now that is common sense.

Why Biden's influence peddling matters

Daily Update

Democrats will try to brazen their way through all this. Whate else can they do? They are in a tight spot and they know it.

end update:

Did Biden collude with Red China to censor Rumble?

No inflation, eh?

Daily update (1):

Operation Rosy Scenario just in time for election

The Rosy Scenario is a "soft landing". The jobs reports for November claims 200k jobs, but almost all of those jobs are government related. Massive budget deficits are masking the economic distress. The manufacturing job creation was no creation at all, as strikers returned to work. All the while, the Bidens gaslight the country about the economy and other things.

No jobs, continuing inflation. Not such a rosy scenario, but the spin machine is running in high gear.

What Life Inside NASA’s Lunar Gateway Station Will Be Like!

This will take a long time to set up. It seems like a cool deal, but what effect will Starship have upon it? Starship can deliver a lot of mass. The SLS will be totally outclassed before long. But with the way they talk, one would think that SpaceX is holding up the show. We'll see.

New Glenn rocket not going to fly anytime soon

Tough criticism of Blue Origin, and their New Glenn Rocket.

Probably justified in my opinion.

Cancel Culture goes after Musk

Sheila Jackson Lee loses Mayoral runoff

At least Houston hasn't gone full-blown wacko yet. The victor is still a Democrat. They'll still try to steal the election next year. The relative sanity is only temporary, I suppose.

No wonder Oswald shot JFK

12/11/23: Update to post of 3/20/17:

Methinks I didn't like being in Irving Texas. That's what I was referring to. Irving is where I got the treatment for cancer.

Houston is better than Dallas anyway.

These streets can drive anybody nuts.

Whoever designed this town's streets must have been stoned.

Am I boring you?

12/11/23: Update of the post on 10/5/16:

The link below does not work. According to the html, the title was "10 habits of extremely boring people".

I think the original link was pointing to the new link above, so now I can see what saw then. Whoda thunk the article about being boring could be so interesting.

Before I found it again, my thought was like this.

This post might have gotten the most pageviews. Hmmm.

end update

Maybe this explains it.

Sometimes, I do wonder about stuff like this.  If you get bored, you may be a boring person yourself.

Or maybe I don't give a poop.

Blade Runner -- Time to die

12/10/23: Update of 12/27/16 post:

I was perusing some old posts when I came across a post which was about a "Best of Misc Category" type posts. It was an effort to promote the blog, and so I used that idea, and found this post. This was one that received the one of the most pageviews of that list on the blogger interface.

I read that post, and I was shocked. Memory fades so much. I was going through a pretty rough time, and evidently I thought was going to die. Indeed, I was going to die if I didn't get treatment for the cancer. I DO remember the very long nights when I could not sleep.

As I recall, the Doctor said I may need to check into an ER soon, and to call him in about a week. So this post must have been updated about week before I went into the ER. From that point on, things stabilized, and began to get better. Now it is just a memory. I am shocked that it got this bad. I guess that's the whole point. Memories fade over time.

The post was done originally on 12/27/16, but was probably updated about 3 weeks later. The update wasn't dated, so that is why there is no date of the update.

"All those moments will be lost in time, like tears in the rain."

Update:

That post above was reflection of my mental state now.  Lots of pain.  I may need to go to the ER soon.  Not saying right now, but soon.  Like in a few days.

Biden claims blackmail

12/10/23: Update of 12/7/23 post:

Biden blunders into a "backfire" of his own making. ( New York Times link , paywalled )

It started out as a "compromise", but the GOP actually expected some concessions from Biden, which he refuses. Then he calls it blackmail. What's so extreme about giving up something in order to get something you want? If he wants Ukraine funding, he should be willing to give up something in return.

Will the GOP stick to its guns, or will they do their usual surrender monkey act.

end update

Never underestimate the power of stupid. It amazes me that people listen to this sack of poo.

45% in the Rasmussen poll. Approval of what, exactly?

Democrats are all in lockstep with each other. It's just like the commies did in Stalinist Russia. They look at the GOP debate, and they cannot fathom all the disagreement going there. Memo to Democrats: this is what debates are for. If everybody agreed, it wouldn't be a debate---duh. As for the border situation, Democrat mayors are complaining about the migrant surge. You might well find Democrats blaming Trump for that. Huh? Trump's been gone for 3 years now. There wasn't anything like this migrant surge when Trump was in. It would be better still if the wall was built. Democrats opposed the wall--still do.
