Lynching

Comment:

Actually the thrust of the article linked to in the tweet is about precedent.  But I'd like to comment on the word "lynching" that Trump used.

Note the reactions, the things that hurt the Dems the most are the things they react to.  They reacted to the word "lynching" because of its association with race.  They believe that it will help them to attach the racism epithet to Trump for using the word.

However, a little thought on the use of the word reveals that it is correctly used.  Lynchings were held at night, in the dark, with masks on in order to conceal identities.

It works with with the "secrecy" of the Star Chamber that the Democrats are running in the House Basement.  Everything about it is dishonest.

That Trump uses it is something of a problem for them because it reminds the black folks of the past in this country.  It raises the question as to whether or not this practice has really ended, or that its practitioners have merely changed the tactics somewhat in order to suit their needs.

The Dems are corrupting the grounds upon which they stand.  If they had any moral high ground left, then they have definitely lost it now.  A naked appeal to race only makes it worse.
