Perhaps Canada's western provinces can gain statehood, but it has to get thru Congress

Canada's western provinces are ready to leave, according to this report.

A popular vote was held, and the proposition for statehood in the USA passed, it says.

11/29/25:

New video:

There's stuff going on here. It's meaning isn't exactly clear. There's a woman with a plan over there, telling you guys had better beware.

Paraphrasing a song there, but the stuff is going down. What that stuff may smell like, who knows? This guy on the video seems to think that Alberta is leaving Canada, and taking a lot of Canada with them.

However, if you check out the social media sites, and maybe the legacy media, the song may not sound the same.

Uh,oh! A Led Zepellin song, if you catch my drift.

11/23/25:

Looking for precedents... When Texas joined the Union, it was an independent nation. However, these provinces are still a part of Canada. What will Canada do in response? Texas joined via a joint resolution.

By the way, there hasn't been any news about this vote in our legacy press. It would seem that they're ignoring it. Why ignore something of this magnitude? Perhaps they believe that they can wish it away?

The GOP has a majority in both houses, and a President on record for wanting Canada as part of the USA. Will the GOP move on this development? The Dems might agree to it if they felt it could be an advantage for them. Also, there's the possibility of a filibuster in the Senate. It won't be an easy thing to accomplish.

I'd say the ball is in the American court. An agreement needs to be hammered out, and approved by all concerned. Good luck with that.

A solution for ObamaCare?

11/28/25:

I thought Dick Morris said that the ObamaCare thing could be handled? But this article seems to indicate no such proposition in the works. Just exactly what was that shutdown all about if they go right back to what the Dems wanted in the first place?

The bozos need to understand that there's no more time for nonsense. Fix the damned problems. Ah! One forgets that this is the GOP we're talking about. Or this link could be off-base, and that there really is a good solution. One has reason to be concerned, though.

11/18/25:

Dick Morris says that Biden and the Dems enacted a repeal of a anti-"soup-to-nuts" kind of coverage that was unnecessary and costly. The reversion back to the way Trump and the GOP had no soup-to-nuts coverage requirement prior to Biden and Co.--will cause premiums to come down. In other words, drop the soup-to-nutso stuff.

People are voting for Dems because of the cost of living? It was the Dems who caused the problems in the first place! If Morris is right, then the Dems sure did cause health care premiums to rise because they made soup-to-nutso coverage mandatory.

"No time"

Lee ran out of time, as he reprimands Stuart. It is a good scene from the flick. There comes a time when there is none left. Know what I mean, Vern?

I shudder to think that Minnesota Gov Walz could be Veep right now

Comment:

There's not enough time for the nonsense from the Democrats. The POTUS is politically accountable, as the House could impeach him. Of course, they've already done that twice. The truth of the matter is that many in the GOP will not unite behind a leader like Trump, who will offer a real alternative to the Democrats. Trump is doing that, but if push came to shove, would the GOP abandon him? And what about the people who sent him to Washington in order to do the job HE IS ATTEMPTING TO DO. There are those who try to stand in the way, and then have the nerve to complain about it when they get their way---like MTG.

What MTG did is just one example of the nonsense that we don't have time for anymore.  It's bad enough that Democrats do this kind of thing, why do so many in the GOP have to act stupid too?

At some point there will have to be a showdown. Talk is only talk. It's deeds that make a difference. We need action.

Never Surrender --- Corey Hart

11/27/25:

Now more than ever.

It's been a great run, but maybe it can get even better. Hope for the best, prepare for the worst. As Al Fin says. What's been going on with him anyway? Been awhile.

1/25/19:

An eighties hit.  It was number one in Canada, and number three in the US.

Check out the lyrics:

Just a little more time is all we're asking for
Cause just a little more time could open closing doors
Just a little uncertainty can bring you down

And nobody wants to know you now
And nobody wants to show you how
So if you're lost and on your own

You can never surrender

And if your path won't lead you home

You can never surrender

And when the night is cold and dark
You can see, you can see light
Cause no one can take away your right
To fight and never surrender

With a little perseverance you can get things done
Without the blind adherence that has conquered some
And nobody wants to know you now
And nobody wants to show you how

So if you're lost and on your own
You can never surrender

And if your path won't lead you home
You can never surrender
And when the night is cold and dark
You can see, you can see light
Cause no one can take away your right

To fight and never surrender
To never surrender

Sun Tsu said in the Art of War --- that if you don't know who you are, and you don't what who you are fighting, you have no chance to win.  So, who are you fighting, and who are you????

A lesson in there for somebody... maybe...

Thanksgiving Celebrates Our 'Original Sin,' 'Views Virtually Identical To Nazis,' Prof Preaches

Nov 27, 2025:

It would be real easy to return hatred for hatred.  But that's not what Christianity is about.  However, I'm not about to go down like Charlie Kirk.  No sir.  If they come for me, Ima coming right back at 'em.

Better to go down fighting than to surrender.   Nor am I about to be "re-educated".  If anybody needs that, it's these pinkos.  Not that they were ever educated in the first place.

Nov 22, 2012

Free Republic

According to Jensen, Thanksgiving is “at the heart of U.S. myth-building. “But in the United States, this reluctance to acknowledge our original sin -- the genocide of indigenous people -- is of special importance today,” he explained.

The danger I see is the opposite.  This kind of thinking that Jensen espouses is destroying this country and Europe too.  It is driven by guilt.  Those who are driving it are trying to make people feel guilty.  The guilt is used to manipulate people and to gain power.

Why oblige them?

There are two sides to every story.  Every story of alleged wrongdoing back then would have another side.  But everyone alive then is now dead.  The dead cannot defend themselves. The wronged parties are also dead.  Nothing you can do now can reverse the injustice done back then.

The bottom line is that you don't apologize or feel guilty about being successful.

Besides, even if he is exactly right- that there's abundant proof of wrongdoing, it wasn't done by anyone now alive.  Therefore, the guilt is not going to change that, nor will it lead to justice.  Justice can only occur when those who are guilty are punished for their crimes.  If a person isn't guilty, then punishment for nonexistent guilt is also a crime.

It is also against the Constitution which forbids ex post facto laws and punishment for people who are related by blood (corruption of blood).

It is also wrong to impose some type of group guilt with punishment imposed for simply being who you are.

It is illogical and manipulative.  If there's anything that would help this country more than anything, that would be for people like this to be discredited.  But that doesn't appear to be in the cards.

Rush Limbaugh tells the real Thanksgiving story

11/27/25:

Not a turkey leg, except my right one. If I was a horse, they'd have to shoot me.

Since I'm a conservative, the libs may arrange for that anyway. Trump, we may need a pardon.

11/28/24:

3:11 PM:

pass that turkey leg

8:33 PM:

Ground news labels this as a "blind-spot". Is it really?

The political left does not acknowledge this story to be true, or they cannot acknowledge this to be true. So it is labelled a "blind-spot". But who's blind? The authors or the people who read their stuff? This is plain and simple evidence that the political left is keeping information away from people, and/or the people don't care if they do. A "blind-spot" as it is defined here doesn't determine the accuracy of a story. Just because the left doesn't cover it doesn't make it false, but to cover it doesn't make it true either. I question the usefulness of Ground News, and I pick on them a lot.

GOP needs to get a sense of urgency---time is running out

The GOP needs to get its act together.

Comment:

Here's somebody who's speaking my language. What we've got in this "land of the free"-- is all on the line,  But these people won't DO anything to save it. All these folks who come in like lions, run away like lambs-- like MTG.

She talks a big game, but runs away from any rough and tumble contact--like a whipped dog. Trump talks mean to her? The answer is not to run away. It's not that I agree with MTG, but if she really meant what she said, she wouldn't be quitting. There are too many like that---they talk, but DO NOTHING.

Patriotic song--- My Country 'Tis Of Thee

Back during the height of the Cold War and the days of the Cuban Missile Crisis; the schools had kids learn songs like this. We sung songs like this frequently. It would seem to me that this practice would rub off of a youngster, because it sure did seem to rub off on me. Patriotism was commonplace. Something seems to have changed, though.

Education may have changed to the point where this song is actually considered objectionable to some newcomers. Well, if that is the case, there needs to be a correction. All children should learn to love their country. Especially THIS country, the best country in the world.

Better here than most, if not all other places. Back in the sixties, the scenes were all about the poverty of the world. The USA was truly the city on the hill that gave light to the rest of the world. Now times have changed, but that's no reason to depreciate what we still have in this country. All too often, it seems to be the opposite. It's hard to understand the some of the intense dislike there seems to be for one's own home. But will millions of these new folks from other parts of the world, it may be only an opportunity to change a country that they don't particularly like. Such people should not be allowed here.

Lady Liberty 's welcome to immigrants does not mean cultural suicide. Prior generations assimilated into the culture. Instead, the outsiders want US to assimilate to THEM. It should not work that way, ya'll.

She's thinking of running for Senator from Texas

God help us if someone like that wins.  Unbelievable what she says.

The idea that this is a win for the GOP is a bit foolhardy as well. Since Mamdami won in NYC, could it be possible that this nincompoop could win in Texas too?

Some scenarios that may play out could indicate it as a possibility.  It may be foolish to think that Crockett is a loser.  But be careful what you wish for--- you just might get it.  The GOP in Texas needs to get its act together.

Here's what she said about winning Texas:

Quote:

--- Responding, Crockett insisted that she could beat Paxton or Cornyn, saying, “I’ll tell you this that head-to-head we are doing really well against Paxton. I will say that i will also tell you that we are actually within the margin of error as it relates to John Cornyn.----

Margin of error? Well, some recent elections have been close, like the one with Ted Cruz. But that is because of Cruz's quarrels with Trump. If Cornyn isn't strong with Trump, I am worried that it could happen.

As for Paxton, there's some sort of issue that may be another one of those BS scandals that they love to gin up for these kinds of occasions. Paxton should be the nominee and the winner, but who knows these days.

Trump is getting good things done

11/25/25:

Trump's Rasmussen poll numbers are dropping... I cannot understand WHY. Why would people prefer the Dems, for cripes sake? Do they really like our country being overrun by illegals? Do they like what that does to our culture? Our budget?

The legacy media shit-stains are driving this negativity. The lawfare commie activist judges are stalling Trump's program too, and the crowd gets focused on the shiny new thing--lately it was Epstein. Now the Dems aren't talking about THAT anymore.  It's on to the next new shiny thing to bash Trump with.

Too many on the so-called right are joining in with the negativity. Trump has gotten things done, but the news is how everything he is doing is being rejected. But if it is rejected, who's doing the rejecting??? Why wouldn't they reject anything hopeful and optimistic, when the commie's futures depend upon people being downbeat and depressed?  Thus it has always been, the commies win when things are bad.  They're really good at making people miserable.

Now a peace deal could be in the works, and people are complaining about it. They say they hate wars, but here's one war coming to an end, and they can't stop complaining.

11/20/25:

Never mind the hate American left, and their accomplices in the foreign-dominated legacy media.

JD Vance on X

Comment:

Yeah, the usual suspects are howling that a peace deal regarding the war in Ukraine may be feasible. Unbelievable things are being said about it. It was compared to the appeasement of Neville Chamberlain to Adolf Hitler just prior to World War II. That one came from Thomas Friedman of the New York Times, and it borders on hysteria. What's the hysteria about? Ending a war? Shouldn't the Democrats be pleased as punch that there could be an end to a war?

Evidently the Dems only like wars that kill white folks. They only get mad about war in which the non-white folks are doing most of the dying. Trouble is, the non-white folks outnumber the white folks in the world. If there's any war at all in the world, it is probably going to be in a country where most people aren't white. But communists do not know color barriers. White and non-white Communist regimes have existed.

The Muslims would really like a nuclear-war between the USA and Russia.  Evidently, the Dems would too.  More and more of them are voting commie-jihadists like Mamdami into power.  With all that going for them, how can the Dems lose the mid-terms next year? /sarc

Quantum computing with photonics

Below is an embedded video that sort of explains the concept. There was a development in single photon switches mentioned at Insty--here's where the link goes.

The point being that super-intelligence may not be that far off. Quantum computers can solve problems that conventional computers cannot solve, or would take eons to compute an answer.

Not saying that this is necessarily good, but probably necessarily likely. Of course, the country could slide into backwardness, and this vision may never be attained.

I'm shocked

'You means to tell me that the reports was worthless?'  (adapted the line from Pop-Eye the Sailor) Just replace "reports" with "diamonds" in order to get the Pop-Eye quote.

Comment:

It's nice to know that I'm right so often. None of this had any credibility, right from the start. So who was it that actually believed the jihadists? You'd have to be an enemy to believe it, or hostile in the first place.

The people who would believe are leftists. The people putting the propaganda are either leftists, or jihadists. These aren't nice people. Why believe them? They do not wish Americans well, nor Israelis. So the idea is to split America from Israel. I'd be very suspicious about that one. It's just too handy for them. In the meantime, they continue to flood into our state and our country.

Where and how this ends is anybody's guess. So I guess I can take the sarcasm tag down---/sarc.

New tech on the horizon

Brighter with Herbert, YouTube

Comment:

It's a long video, so here is sort of a summary. Three products (that I didn't quite catch--time constraints) :

  1. Robotics
  2. AI
  3. How to power them: Space Solar

Something of an addendum here. Musk talks about the future with regards to these developments. The future he talks about involves something I once mentioned. It has to do with radical abundance.

He didn't use those terms exactly, but radical abundance means that prices will come down. But there's a catch: the catch is that civilization has to keep advancing. Civilizations don't always advance, in fact, they have life-cycles. If this country hasn't entered a permanent decline, then the outcome will be radical abundance.

The reason that I'm so hard on communism is that radical abundance won't come from the direction of China. Never mind what China may be doing with AI, energy, and robotics. That kind of future is not a happy one. The kind we should want-- is if the machines and the state remains under control---as opposed to the people. That fortunate kind of future is not one that will occur in China, but could occur here if we don't screw it up--and lose our freedom.

MTG's new found "respect" is like beauty, only "skin-deep"

The source of the respect, the Democrats commies, are ugly to the bone.  Two problems 1) the RINO faction loves to suck up to Democrats, just like MTG just did, and 2) the less radical commie group doesn't resist the radicalized elements of their party enough.  Either way, MTG's fault is not being sufficiently loyal to the "boss" of MAGA.  And she's not the boss.

Marjorie Taylor Greene Resigns from Congress, Effective January 5th - Video

The Conservative Treehouse

8:41 AM:

Comment:

11/23/25:

Was I a bit too rough on the lady? Maybe. Just remember one thing... In life, it doesn't matter how many good things you do, if you go flipping around and go to the bad side. An historical example: Benedict Arnold was close to General George Washington, but he betrayed the General at a critical time in the American Revolutionary War. This may have helped Arnold in the short run, but his name lives in infamy for his betrayal.  Maybe he has some kindred spirits in the modern Democrat Party, eh?

Even the Brits didn't like Benedict Arnold. Does MTG think the Democrats love her now that she's turned on Trump? They only want to use her, just like the Brits wanted to use Benedict Arnold.

MTG has made some mistakes. She might be able to turn it around, but if she won't mend fences with Trump, she'll going to go down. I know one thing, I won't ever support her after this...   She's not reliable.

11/22/25:

So MTG decides to quit when the going got a little rough for her. Well, boo-hoo baby. She reminds me of Sarah Palin in this episode. Those who follow politics may remember that Sarah Palin was attacked mercilessly by the Democrats and their henchmen in the legacy media. Remember the Kay Couric mean-girl episode?

Anyway, it didn't end with the election defeat in the 2008 election. She was still governor in Alaska, and the leftards kept right after her. What did she do? She QUIT! So, the point here is that Donald Trump DOES NOT QUIT.

For Cripes Sake! The dude has endured an unsuccessful assassination attempt, two phony assed impeachments based upon highly questionable , and frankly fraudulent accusations, constant harassment and opposition for doing nothing but to turn around the very things that MTG starts out with in this litany of complaints in the video at the link. The appropriate response is to defer to the boss, who is Trump. But in typical feminist fashion, she tried to take over the movement, and it failed. Now she quits. Well, boo-freaking-who baby doll! Grow some spine.

Is this a war of the sexes thing? What else could it be but that? She goes on The View for cripes sake. Now it is time for her to play the hurt woman routine, go home to mommy, and have a good cry --- little girl. You cannot be a leader if you quit when times get rough.

So the feminist way is to play hurt girl when the rough and tumble politics gets too rough--and she quits. Now all the women are supposed to get really mad about the bully Trump. Well, politics ain't bean bag honey. There's a country to run, and she cannot go home to mommy when things get a little too rough for her.

What should she have done? Just suck it up, and go against Trump in the primaries. Trump doesn't always have to win his point, but that shouldn't be a disaster even if it does happen--he didn't resign over the phony Epstein file issue. She's not helping MAGA, she is just doing a drama queen performance and drawing attention to herself.

So go home and have a good cry, baby doll. We need fighters, not quitters. There's a country to save from the commies and the jihadists. The thing not to do is to join the feminists, jihadists, and commies who want to sink their claws into our country. If that happens, America is done. We need a fighter like Trump who doesn't walk out when the going gets tough.  She didn't learn anything from Palin, who quit and never recovered.  But Trump DID.  That's why he's boss, and YOUR NOT.

2:55 PM:

Can you imagine the reaction to the above comment of mine? There hasn't been much of one, so I pretty much have to guess. So here goes with the guess.

It is not "gentlemanly" of me to refer to her in that way. Sure, but isn't that the point of feminism? The point is promote women, because the traditional roles of women has been to have women defer to men. So it is rather patriarchal of ANY man to say anything of the "special" little darlings who have had their "feewings" hurt. Women who want to play the rough game of politics can always fall back on their femininity to shield them from the rigors of competition with men. For a traditional male to be ungentlemanly is seen as bad form. But the women are only taking advantage of that. Basically, that what feminism is all about.

Left-wing politics need victims, and women have "always" been victims of the boys, you see.

If MTG was really honest about MAGA, would she really be trying to undercut Trump like this? Trump isn't being nicey-nice, so what of it? Does she really deserve to get easy treatment? It's politics, and if it is to be equally applied, she has to handle it "like a man". But she doesn't. Not to worry, though. The culture has been so bastardized, that the men don't know how to act either. As one would expect, traditional women don't like it. Truth be told, no woman likes it. But it is the turf MTG stepped on. A man who acted that way will receive the usual Trump treatment. Why should she expect anything different?  It's because she's a girl.

Microsoft sucks

A problem has arisen.

There may be some who would think that I am being too hasty in my judgement. Let me state what has happened. Then we'll go from there.

I have two computers. One of them is a netbook, the other is this one--a raspberry pi. Linux is preferred because Microsoft has gone rogue, as far as I'm concerned. They are WAY too nosy with their data collection. It's over the top, and so I switched to Linux in the last several months. Since that switch, I've had Linux go out on me three times. The first two times, I figured that it was Linux to blame, but this time, it HAS to be Microsoft.

The bios was messed with. Who could do that but Microsoft? Microsoft shares the netbook with Linux. Linux isn't on the main drive, though. However, when you boot up, some of the boot code is accessible to Microsoft. Well, the bios won't load up the Linux now, and redirects you back to Microsoft.

Could some hacker do this? Maybe. What makes me suspicious in this case is something I saw on a YouTube that says Microsoft tries to bump off any Linux installations if there are operating on the same machine. When I saw this, I realized that somehow the netbook allows the possibility of interference by our good, good friends--Microsoft. Anybody, all three failures could very well have been Microsoft refusing to play nice with Linux.

If Microsoft is innocent here, then it was hackers. But why would hacker direct me back to Microsoft? Only if the hacker is with Microsoft, and Microsoft is actually the hacker. Or they paying hackers to sabotage Linux installations.

At this point, the damage is minimal. I don't know how to recover from this, but I might be able to. Not sure what I need to do though. It is a pain in the ass.

The Big Tech companies, like Microsoft, are out of control. They need to be reined in. This ought to be an anti-trust issue right here. They got no business interfering with people's computers. They don't own this damned machine. They didn't give it to me. It isn't their property. I'M NOT THEIR PROPERTY EITHER.
