Reason magazine explains
Comment:
The "Save Democracy" folks just want to spend us all into bankruptcy. All of that just so they can have power. Good for THEM, but is it any good for YOU?
Holy moly! An affordable electric car.
$12.7k Tesla model 2?
Yours truly wouldn't mind having one, but even at this price, it's too expensive.
10/9/25:
The price points for this car seem to be all over the place---anywhere from 10k to 30k. Which is it?
10/6/25:
Speculation about the new affordable electric car?
9/12/25:
You could knock me over with a feather...
New Tesla Giga Press makes a $15k Model 2 possible, or so it says...
But wait! It gets better than that...
$10,595 Model 2! Is it hype, vapor-ware, or real? Supposedly, it will be available by years end. That's not long into the future, and this is a freshly published video...
P.S.
The aluminum ion battery--- it is said to be in the new affordable Tesla Model 2.

Zohran Mamdani Humiliated as Billionaire Responds to His Threat
Collyfornia raised 100 billion dollars in wealth taxes only to see 1 trillion dollars of wealth escape to other states that don't punish success. Not only is it dumb and counter-productive, but it doesn't even raise money.
When the Seattle mayor laughed, the audience hooted and hollered. Wonder if they'll keep hooting and hollering when they go broke. Their government jobs will go bye-bye if the taxes cannot pay their salaries and benefits.
Inside the NEW $300M White House Ballroom
It has all the appearance of being an upgrade over what was there previously. Of course, the Democrats are against it.
Microsoft Windows is garbage amongst other gripes
Spent quite a bit of time yesterday re-installing Linux Mint. This time if Microsoft wipes out my installation, I'll have an installation disk. It will be inconvenient to re-install, but it won't be as big a pain in butt that will result if I got rid of the installation disk. Know what I mean, Vern?
4/26/26:
It just erased a list of links that I wanted to save as a part of my reading. It executed a save file that I DID NOT AUTHORIZE. I don't want these pricks keeping a tab on moi. Anyway, what a piece of garbage this damnable thing is. Excuse my French.
The only reason that I'm even using this piece of GARBAGE operating system is because I'm having a few physical difficulties and this netbook is easier for me to use right now.
The netbook had Linux installed, but this POS operating system nuked it, and now when I'm using this POS operating system, it deletes my work when NO COMMAND TO SAVE WAS EVER GIVEN
POS !!!!!!!
Anyway, I was doing some work that just got erased, and I might still have some info available
Free Republic
Grace to You
The tone lately may seem inappropriate for that last link. Excuse the hell outta me. I'm having a bit of stress. Stress being defined as the overpowering desire to choke the sh!t outta some a-hole who really needs it. But I have to remember my sweet, sweet disposition!
Some others from history: *)(((U*(**!
Some American Thinker articles that got wiped out... Dehumanizing rhetoric. Oh yeah. Gotta remember that one.
James Carville. A-hole in chief.
Atlantic (about Thomas Massie): Thomas Massie is one of these fake republicans who like to "stand up" to Trump while they are knifing him in the back. This gets the applause from the pinkos, who might even invite him on the View, like they did with MTG.
Trump is a target for assassination. AGAIN. This isn't the first time that the leftist pricks provoked a reaction amongst the less stable people ( maybe even LIKE ME). Just kidding. I'm such a sweet, sweet guy.
We've met the enemy, and he is US
That's the message here in this video. By the way, I think this is an excellent YouTube channel. YouTube demonetized him, so he must be good! Anything good gets screwed on YouTube. I seen too many such stories to think otherwise.

Comey indictment
A bit of editorializing here...
A line has to be drawn somewhere. Sure, there's the 1st Amendment. Free speech. All of that is welcomed in a free society.
But there's a point where things are going too far. Where do you draw the line?
There's a law against threatening the President. That's the law.
So you've got this individual, Comey, who does this 86 thing. Comey was formerly a high ranking member of the government. In such a position, one should expect RESPONSIBLE conduct. The use of this term "86" was irresponsible. The leadership is expected to conduct itself responsibly, but if this is acceptable, then where does it lead?
Things are getting a bit out of hand. It needs to be reined in.
Comey declares he's innocent. Really? With all this hyper language out there, one would think that the idea was to burn down the whole country. You've got the Minority Leader saying things like "maximum warfare". Maximum warfare??? Is that what it has come to?
Yes, and Trump shares a bit of guilt on this. Everybody needs to take a chill pill.
Just sayin'.

Pondefecate: translation don't talk out your ass
This is a "no-shit" zone. Know what I mean, Vern?
5/25/12:
A bit of urban lingo there. It is also a pun, because the word sounds like "pontificate", which has a somewhat different meaning.
I try not to, so I'll link to sources frequently. By the way, I am updating the index for navigating this blog. Always striving to make improvements in the blog.
Winning the War, and Concluding the Peace
At the conclusion of World War Eleven ( the name of that war according to Minnesota Congress-woman Ilhan Omar ), a certain Lt. Colonel refused to accept defeat. He remains defiant until the facts on the ground were explained to him by none other than General Patton.
That's how the video goes, anyway. Perhaps such did take place. But if it did, it is doubtful that there weren't any interpreters present as well. This video makes it look like everyone understood each other without the need of interpreters.
Otherwise, the parallel with current times is instructive. Iran has been beaten. But they are scrambling for a way to maintain their "arrogance".
The facts on the ground in Iran do not support their position.
There's a movie that can be viewed on Tubi ( I think ). It is about Japan's behavior directly after the surrender. Many of them refuse to accept their defeat, while maintaining their arrogant poses. The link refers to the movie "Emperor", with Tommy Lee Jones playing the role of General Douglas MacArthur. The movie's drama showed the need to get cooperation from the Japanese, but if the Japanese refused to accept their defeat even after surrender, the country could be reduced to utter ruin. The Japanese Emperor had to intervene and accept a visit with MacArthur in order to move forward from the war towards peace and reconstruction.
Does Iran have to be utterly destroyed? Only if their leaders refuse to accept defeat. The facts on the ground say that America can reduce Iran to utter destruction, and that Iran cannot stop it. So we'll see if that is the course that the Iranians intend to take. They will have no one other than themselves to blame if that occurs.
Is America First really a call to pacifism?
Questionable polls deliver questionable results
Correction:
The pdf says "develop" nukes. It should say "deliver" nukes.

Generational disconnect is no accident
Comment:
What you really have is a Marxist plan to overthrow the USA. It has been percolating through the society for a century. It is a Marxist plan to do all the things that the young generation is suffering through.
The young generation is the hammer through which the Marxists can smash the American system. If they are successful at this, as it appears that they have had a lot more success at this than they should've, then all Americans will lose EVERYTHING. The schools just dumb everybody down, and the Marxist media just treats everyone as mushrooms. (keep you in the dark and feed you bullshit)
They'll just lie and lie and lie through their teeth, and not tell you the real story. This is the real story. The real story was to weaken America through the generations until there is no strength left, when the Marxists can sweep into power and rule over all mankind. Trouble is that Marxism isn't good for anybody but the Marxists. They don't give a rat's ass about anything but their own rotten selves. The problem is in getting people's head out of their own asses and see what is really going on. You'll never get that through the so-called educational system, nor the bullshit media complex.
The video discusses a lot of these issues with feminism and all the other rotgut leftist claptrap being fed to the young.
Promethean Action Outlines Visit of King Charles Against Backdrop of Trump Assassination Effort
Is this yet another war of independence from the UK? Amazing.
This may take some study to understand, but I think I can get at least some of it.
There was another post like this one that can be reviewed. The war is really about reestablishing the "American System" that Lincoln and McKinley set up.
I recall from the History books, that Lincoln had his hands full with the Brits, in order to keep them out of the Civil War. If the Brits had lined up with the Confederates, America would've been finished. History may be repeating itself.

Life hacks
I'd like to be half as healthy as I already know how to be. Know what I mean, Vern?
Rejection of basic reality will have consequences
Without children, there will be no future. Something to consider when you get old. South Korea has a problem.
It's a civilizational disease. Not unique to South Korea. It is like that in many countries.

Obama and the left play dumb on assassination attempts
This post is about the attempted assassination, and the usual thing with the commies of pretending not to know anything about anything. Listening to them, you'd be tempted to reach the conclusion that they are perfect little angels incapable of harming a fly. But we all know better, do we not?
Of course the commies know because the commies instigated the assassination attempts. They applaud this kind of thing, and encourage it as much as possible. But when it happens, Zero says he don't know shit.

The Yardbirds - Shapes of Things (1966)
4/26/23:
Anyone ever heard of the saying that a foolish consistency is the hobgoblin of small minds? All liberalism does, and all that totalitarians do is to take advantage of the weaknesses of little people. That may sound elitist. But I'm not elitist. I have weaknesses too. Yes, and these kind of people have tried and will try to take advantage of my own weaknesses. Unfortunately, that is the way of the world.
The song asks if time will make man more wise. Probably not.
1/22/23:
update of 5.1.16 post
This song came to mind again this morning, and I thought I'd make a post about it. Turns out that I made one previously. So it is only an update.
There are multiple instances of the song that are posted on Youtube. The one I saw is not this one here. On the other, there are some comments that I noted. The comments are what I want to discuss.
The comment at the top of the list appears to be from someone who is much younger than I am. I grew up when this song was being played on the radio as brand new. It was first recorded about 66 or 67. Well, the comment was about how world was being destroyed, and how the song related to that. I have to laugh...
Most of my childhood was spent in Houston, and the part that wasn't, was in San Antonio. Houston is an industrial town, and there's pollution there. But it was far worse in the sixties than it was when I left town in 2016. It is almost as if the younger generation has discovered pollution or something. We were all very aware of it, I assure anyone who wasn't around back then. Maybe the comment was referring to the thing called "climate change".
Anyone who has read much of this blog knows what I think of climate change. I'll add some more to it, now. Climate alarmism is the same as COVID alarmism. Alarmism is a favorite tactic of useless politicians. Actually, they are worse than useless. People in the days of old had a healthy skepticism of politicians. Not so much these days. All these politicans have to do is to cry wolf, and people run for the hills. It would appear that folks need to remember the story of the boy who cried wolf. Yet, it is the younger generation who seem to need to hear that story the most.
My generation was hoodwinked into alarmism as well. The young are the most succeptible to this kind of thing. Their lives are in front of them, and they haven't much experience. Once they've been around awhile, they may catch on to these kind of shams. Unfortunately, almost everybody fell for the COVID scam.
The song appear to question the idea of material progress. Material progress was highly valued up till the sixties, but obviously that has changed. What has also changed is that material progress has slowed down--- a lot. It has taken over 50 years to get back to the moon, even if Elon Musk's Starship succeeds. Maybe China will get there. Back in the sixties, the Chinese got around on bicycles. We had our muscle cars. There's a message in there, if you bother to look for one.
Don't misunderstand. I'm not excusing pollution. Nor even the production of so-called greenhouse gasses ( assuming that these gasses actually cause global warming, which I doubt.) The thing I'm criticizing here is the total lack of intellectual curiousity that has become rampant in this society. If there was such, there would be less opportunity for all of the alarmism that runs rampant, and it is this alarmism that is greater thing to worry about than the things the politicians love to scare people about.
John Cornyn amnesty ad is real
This is the kind of two-faced stuff so typical of Establishment RINOS. He is running strong pro-Trump, but he is for amnesty. The two things do not go together. Different audiences, different messages. In other words, bullshit.
By the way, even though I do write about politics, I don't like it. In fact, I friggin' HATE it. But it is necessary. How else can you run the country?
Yes, this Senator Cornyn pro-amnesty ad is real.

We found in on YouTube & it was several hours before Cornyn’s team made the video private.
No amnesty!
"The Graduate" and the cougar phenomenon
The 1967 film The Graduate is frequently cited as a cultural precursor to the modern "cougar" phenomenon, featuring a married mother who pursues and seduces a much younger man (21-year-old Benjamin Braddock). While the film popularized the theme of an older woman dating a younger man, the specific slang term cougar did not originate until later, with its first known print appearance on the Canadian dating website Cougardate.com possibly as early as 1999.
Although The Graduate established the narrative of an older woman actively chasing a younger man, sociological research challenges the extent of this trend in real life. Studies, such as a 2010 British psychological study published in Evolution and Human Behavior, have suggested that the "cougar phenomenon" is largely a myth or rare occurrence, with most men and women continuing to follow traditional gender roles where men prefer younger partners and women prefer older, established partners. Additionally, academic research by Milaine Alarie indicates that contrary to the aggressive seductress archetype seen in films like The Graduate, many women in age-hypogamous relationships do not depict themselves as the primary pursuers.
With respect to the "cougar" phenomenon, and the AI supplied info, I'll have to call "bullshit" on that one.
Why do you suppose that the AI is trying to treat this as a non-phenomenon? Of course it happens.
This, like a lot of other things, is just another example of the phenomenon ( in my opinion) of keeping something hidden, which actually exists. Perhaps not exactly in the movie way, but it is definitely something out there. Trust me on that one.
Here's another thought. The article seems to be discussing or denying that any such phenomenon as "cougar" exists, while basing it upon "studies". In my opinion, the "studies" may not have discussed this with MEN in order to see if anything like that happened with the men. Maybe the men would talk, and maybe they wouldn't. That's up to the dude involved. Dudes and dudettes aren't necessarily going to tell the truth about this stuff, lol.
What I'm saying is that you can take this "study" with a grain of salt. Women are probably more likely to believe the "study", because I think women are more gullible on average. Otherwise, they wouldn't be liberals.
Update a bit later:
This looks just like the graphic of the 60's movie "The Graduate". The movie was about a cougar who seduced a young man, and how it got rather zany before the movie was over
