Science is never settled, or it isn't science.

If science was settled, then settled science would still be in the dark ages, after the great library in Alexandria was burned down.

Galileo lived in the era of "settled science".  He was put under house arrest for daring to question "settled science".

Science knocks down all settled thought.  Science progresses.  It is never settled.  The leftists know this.  The only thing that the leftists want settled is their own anti-scientific political gains.  If anything is found to be false, they wish to shut it down, and shut it up.

Einstein is said to have apologized to Newton for undermining a lot of Newtonian "settled science".  Science is never settled.  Only liars would say otherwise.
