Apparatchik and Apparat

Glenn Reynolds has a link up which uses these terms.  This stuff is likely to go over the heads of too many people.  Perhaps it would be worthwhile to discuss what the terms are and what they mean.  For too many people, they simply do not understand what is happening to this country.  If terms like this get used without explanation, it won't be as effective as it could be in showing to people what is happening and what it means.

The bottom line is that it means communism.  If you are not a member of the communist party and if you do not tow the party line, you are screwed.  That's what it means.  It means no freedom, it means serfdom.  It means fear of the state and its power over you.  The party has the power, everyone else is subject to that power.  It means that they can take your life, liberty, and property at their discretion any time they want.  And you can do nothing about it.  You will be able to do nothing about it since little by little you have been surrendering power to these people by taking their free shit.  That will be the price that you will pay unless you stop it now and turn this back.  You need to tell these people to take their free shit and stick it where the sun doesn't shine.  You must do this if you want to remain a free person.  Otherwise, you will be put in chains.  Ironic, isn't it?  Joe Biden saying WE want to put YOU in chains.  It is the other way around, comrades.

Update:

I know what you may be thinking.  That this is so way over the top.  It is red-baiting, it is McCarthyism.

But let's look at the facts.  The Democrats build constituencies with their programs.  If their supporters, or constituents remain loyal to the party, they can protect their own programs.  This is the apparat, or party in action.  Doesn't matter if they are called Democrats or Communists--they behave the same way.  The receivers in these programs are the apparatchiks.  In a system where people have the right to vote, enough appartchiks can win elections.  From there, they can govern the state in the interests of the apparatchiks.   It is the dictatorship or one-party system that rules over everybody else.  Without an effective opposition party, there is nothing that can be done to curb their power.  So much for checks and balances, eh comrade?

What if you decide that you no longer like this arrangement?  It may be too late once the apparat gets big enough and powerful enough.  Then the President and Supreme Court can issue its rulings and such and you will not be able to withstand it.  This is already happening, in case you didn't notice, comrade.

At some point, even a one-party state will have to collect on the debts.  For now, it is enough to run up the bills.  But they will have to collect at some point.  At that time, they will come for your property.  If you don't like it, you can resist.  But if you resist, you may lose your freedom.  If you fight, you may lose your life.

So none of this is an exaggeration.  It is what is happening.  But too many people don't see it and with the political correctness, aren't going to be allowed to see it.  They will take your right to dissent, your right to keep and bear arms, and your rights to keep your own property.  It will be the rule of men, not the rule of law.  They will control the courts--- you will be out of luck, comrade.  Checkmate!!!
