He has recently compared Trump to socialists. Yes, it reminds me of the 2016 campaign, and so I wrote a few things then that I'd like to point to wit:

George Will is continuing with the same pattern. They make false statements in support of the current trajectory, which is self-immolation. While doing this, they make the claim that they are trying to save the nation or some such thing. The truth is that they are trying to save their place within the current order, which is not supporting the nation, but is letting it be destroyed.
Note that this blog has long been established as having spent a good deal of time on the subject of what has gone wrong. It came long before Trump arrived. Trump didn't brainwash the author. Trump didn't use his "charismatic" personality to suck me in. If anything, the current order of things promotes charismatic "cults of personality". How can Satan cast himself out? For Trump to be running a cult of personality, he would have to cast out the current crop of cultists who seek the next personality who will save them. Obama was supposed to be the Messiah, if you recall.
It might be possible that George Won't does believe what he writes. But in order for that to be true, he would have to be delusional. It is possible that he is delusional, but frankly I think he is full of shit.
