Sounds like they might be willing to partner up with SpaceX if the BFR concept works out as planned.
In my opinion, the BFR is a revolutionary concept. It is a reusable big rocket, which has never been done before. If you can launch a payload comparable to the Saturn V, and return it to Earth to be used over and over, that's a big deal.
Probably will need a refueling capability, though. This hasn't been demonstrated. That's two things that have to happen first.
