What got me started on this topic is this tree that I cannot identify. It looks like a palm tree, but I can't find anything on it. It is rather short, less than 10 ft tall. It's growth is at the top and it doesn't have branches. It might be a cycad, but cycads aren't supposed to be in West Texas.
So, I'm considering buying a couple books and reading up on Texas plant life. Maybe I'll learn something that will help me.
