No pleasing some folks

  New Year's Day. Another year, another ???

  There wasn't a post about it yesterday, but there was indeed some research on some of this discord in the GOP lately.

  It seemed like a nothingburger to me.

  But some folks insist that there's a problem.  Yes, there is!  The problem is that you won't be satisfied no matter what happens.  I think that some of you would complain if the Second Coming occurred.  You'd probably bitch that was too little or too late.

  Some folks cannot be happy because they insist on being unhappy.

  Words, logic, reason will not matter in those cases.  They might as well be liberals themselves.  They sure as hell act that way.

  A sudden realization is that I may wish for a Brave New World.  Not exactly.  John Savage wanted to be left alone.  But the world wouldn't let him.  Up to a point, there should be freedom, but there is a limit to everything.  For if there are no limits, then what?  Anarchy?  What will be the limits, then?  Perhaps that is what the argument is really all about.

  The political left wants limits.  But so do their opponents.  Only the anarchists want no limits at all.  Still others wouldn't be happy even if they got all their wishes. It takes all kinds to make up the world.
