Alas! Elon Musk is going off the rails a bit. Maybe he always was. The main thing he has ever done that interested me much was his rockets. At one time I was somewhat interested in the electric car angle, but I didn't quite believe in what he was doing with his ideas. It seems that he never quite delivered on his promise of an affordable electric car. It still hasn't happened as far as I can tell, but all cars seem to be expensive these days. Now his rockets are blowing up. To summarize, he seems to over-promise and under-deliver with respect to his projects.

His foray into politics and governance hasn't gone particularly well, either. I'd say he ought to stick to the knitting as the saying goes, and concentrate on his companies a bit more. Especially his rockets. After all, he said that he would do that. Now this comes down the pike.

Update after a little while...

The bill may not be beautful, or much of anything good. Given the track record of the government, it may be ugly as sin. As for Elon Musk, he may have a point about it costing too much, but as Trump said--- he gets a lot of government bucks too.

Musk can do whatever he wishes. But if he's going to get into politics, perhaps he should consider hiring someone to do the job for him. He's getting into a lot of scrapes lately.
