The Ed Martin nomination is now kaput, as POTUS just withdrew the nomination. How does this affect the possibility of Boasberg taking over the selection?
A watered down RINO may be better than Boasberg, but it does seem like in 2017 that the asst-AG at the time took over and nominated Mueller for Special Prosecutor. That guy (Rosen-something, maybe Rosenstein) was supposedly a Republican, for whatever that's worth.
That was a huge fiasco for Trump, and an argument could be made that it resulted in at least one of the impeachments, if not both of them. Therefore, the problem still could exist. But I don't know all the ins and outs of procedure in DC, so maybe it is over. ( in a sense , maybe, kinda )
