This is key because the counter-intel file known as "Crossfire Hurricane" was said to have opened based upon what PappaD said about "dirt on Hillary". It also figures in the FISA warrant against Carter Page. Without these, there may not have been a FISA warrant, and without that warrant, no Mueller investigation.
Keep in mind that the Democrats want to claim that Trump obstructed a counter-intel investigation. To charge anybody for that would be unprecedented.
