Bank runs and stock sell offs -- both can be generated by irrational fear

Who most likely resembles the villain named Potter, and the hero named Bailey, in this movie? The left probably regards themselves as the George Bailey types, with the GOP as the Potter type. Is that not what the Dems always want you to believe?

The bank run scene in this movie illustrates what can happen when everybody tries to get their money at the same time. It breaks a bank. This is true FOR ANY BANK, no matter how well it is run. The fact of the matter is that only a small fraction of the depositor's money is kept at the bank at any one time. When everybody goes to get their money, the bank cannot pay. It is assumed that the bank has gone insolvent, but that is not necessarily so.

All it takes is some manipulative a-hole who plants a rumor of insolvency, and people panic, and this kind of scene results.

But why mention this? Because the stock market is the same way as the banks in this sense. If everybody tries to sell a stock at the same time, the market price will zoom downward in a death spiral.

Elon Musk can never see his money stacked up as a trillion dollars. The wealth is paper wealth.

But the left is stirring up hatred of Musk for being a "trillionaire". They are acting like Potter. Stirring up resentments over Musk's alleged misdeeds, and then trying to cause a stock selloff so that they can ruin him.

The modern left is more like Potter than Bailey. They are the bad guys. But what about the Republicans? They are gutless. That's the GOP's problem. They have no guts.

If the GOP would grow a spine, the left couldn't do as much damage as it does. If the GOP aren't cowards, then they're STUPID. Either way, they'd better get the sheet together main, or the left will wipe them out.

The question for the average guy is what can you do?

Think for yourselves, and you're halfway there.

But it is a vain hope. People will go to any length in order not to think for themselves. If they did that, they couldn't be so easily manipulated. It isn't just bank runs and stock sell offs. It could be for a myriad of situations where fear can be weaponized into self destructive panics. COVID madness is another example.

I can show this, and reason it out for you, but will you still not get it? Wealth taxes, punitive attitudes toward success will not better anyone's life. Quite likely the opposite.
