Today is the day

The Maricopa Arizona 2020 election audit will be released soon, most likely today around mid-day. The following facts should be noted, and let the noise, if any, take care of itself. As much as I'd like to believe that the election was "stolen", it wasn't. Here's why:

As mentioned many times before, this isn't a democracy. If it were, George W. Bush wouldn't have been President, and neither would have Trump. It is a Republic with democratic features, but not a Democracy. Even if it was a Democracy, that would not solve all problems. It would just change the nature of the problems.

The main problem with the elections is how they are being represented. It is a fraud to say that Joe Biden received as many votes as it is being claimed. Even though there is a Federal crime against fraud, it would have to be prosecuted by the perpetrators. It won't find against itself---that would be silly to think otherwise. Outside of that, the only things that can be done are symbolic. That is, except for one. A constitutional convention of the states. This is legal, and it could be done. But it hasn't happened before, and there's no groundswell evident of one happening any time soon.

At best, you may get some state laws changed. But state laws were disregarded in 2020. The Supreme Court refused to look at this obvious breach in the Constitution. Aside from that, all remedies have been exhausted---except for the one mentioned.

The odds against an Article V convention of states is pretty high. But there may be a way to get one. Not that there is any groundswell, but if you really want to do something that could make a difference, there you are. Otherwise, it is all political agitation that means little action. Political agitation is not in the wheelhouse of the Republicans anyway. In fact, their wheelhouse is to do as little as possible. If we had to count on the Republicans to do anything useful, we might as well wait for hell to freeze over first.

Just more political theater. However, if there is something obviously uncovered, perhaps something worthwhile can come of it. But I am not optimistic.
