Did Venezuela's Chavez nudge Christ to pick South American pope?

yahoo.com

"We know that our commander ascended to the heights and is face-to-face with Christ," Maduro said at a Caracas book fair. "Something influenced the choice of a South American pope, someone new arrived at Christ's side and said to him: 'Well, it seems to us South America's time has come.'"

Reverend Jim Jones pretended to be a Christian, but admitted that he was an atheist.  He also admired communism.  This admiration of leftists for Christianity is a ruse.  Eventually, it all leads back to communism.

If Chavez lived long enough, it would have look more and more like Castro's Cuba.

Nobody should trust what politicians say, anyway.

Until John Paul II, the Pope was always Italian, in modern days. I believe the church is looking for ways to keep the rest of the world interested, since religion worldwide seems to be on the wane. You can't have a worldwide church dominated by one ethnicity. This new pope is 76, so the next conclave should be in the very near future. That choice may be the Obama-like darkening factor. An African Pope? Yep.
