Can Low-Information Voters Be Reached?

By Robert Ringer

Yes, but it will take guts.  Even a well-reasoned argument loaded with facts and figures won't do it if there's no courage behind it.

Today I posted about the Jim Jones Cult and their mass suicide.  It really wasn't suicide, it was forced suicide.

Anyway, the cult put on a great show for Congressman Ryan, and he made a speech about how favorably impressed he was with the place.  However, somebody passed him a note saying he wanted to leave.  The news of the note spread throughout the cult and that unraveled the Big Lie Jim Jones was spinning.  Now, Jones was losing control and he knew it.  Before Ryan could leave with some of the cult followers, he had some gunmen kill Ryan and some of the people who were leaving on the plane.

The point is that it took courage to oppose Jim Jones and his cult.  That kind of courage will reach people.

It is wrong to blame people if you lack the courage to do what is necessary.  Those who would be leaders need to have the courage to resist.  Don't blame others for your lack of it.
