Sixteen Republicans defected Wednesday in a vote on the rule governing consideration of a government-funding bill meant to prevent a government shutdown. The defections could have caused the rule to fail since most Democrats voted also voted against it.Comment:
This news looks like the Republicans are taking on the role of the "straw man" yet again. They are setting themselves up to look like the bad guys who were forced into doing the right thing. It makes Obama look good and it means that the government will continue to grow without restraint. Bad news.
