Disasters are like roaches, you see one, and there's a lot more coming

Sorry about the light posting.  I spent a lot of time reading over some history.  For some reason, the Battle of Manzikert stuck my fancy, so I started reading about it.  I remember it from my history lessons.  It was the beginning of the end for the Byzantine Empire.

I was struck by the internal weakness of the Empire.  That's what led to the defeat and what came after defeat was even worse than the defeat itself---civil war.

Fast forwarding to modern times, I suspect that some Republicans are licking their chops in anticipation of future distress in this country owing to the foolish policies of this Obama regime.  If you look at what happened to Byzantium, you may want to re-think that.  A disaster is just the beginning of new disasters.

Another example of this is Japan.  After the tsunami and disaster at Fukushima nuke plant, they decide to shut down their nuclear power plants.  Now that's bad enough, but there's more.  The next disaster is that they are now debasing their currency.  You see? One disaster follows another.  Tsunami, plant closings, and now currency debasement.  There is also talk of war.

If you look at it, the current line of disasters in the US probably arose from the some time in the past.  When?  Could it have been the assassination of President Kennedy?  That's because Johnson starts the Vietnam War, which brings Nixon, which brings Watergate.  Watergate brings Carter, who brings Reagan.

Reagan a disaster?  Maybe.  He started the process of mega budget deficits.  His was a small disaster masquerading as a success.  It didn't have to be a disaster, but creating big deficits in DC is like giving whiskey to an Injun.  Nixon was the biggest disaster, created by Johnson and Vietnam.  Nixon ended the gold standard.  Nixon was a bigger disaster than Carter, who had his hostage crisis and foolish policies on energy.  But you can survive a Carter.  But where Nixon really screwed up worst was with molten salt reactors.  The petro dollar was created during Nixon's era.  Why choose the petrodollar when you can make your own energy with nuclear power?  This disaster opened us up to terrorism and the coming hyperinflation.

Every disaster seems to bring another disastrous response.  The response to 9-11 was the invasion of Iraq.  Which brings Obama.  Obama is giving us Cloward Piven, which will bring down the entire financial house.  Who knows what will come after that.
