Cashless society and restrictions upon trade that can be arbitrarily imposed

Comment:

He describes his problem with Paypal and the effect upon his business. He says that they claimed he was doing what he wasn't doing. It took him months to resolve the problem, and the treatment he received was like he had no rights they had any obligation to respect. If that sounds sorta "Dred Scott"-like, it is for a reason, comrades.

He also said that it wasn't about HIM personally, and while he didn't think it was anything nefarious, that it was scary all the same. You cannot do business anymore as a brick and mortar. These gatekeepers have monopolized the payment for goods and services, and if you violate their arbitrary "terms of service" rules, you could be prevented from doing business.

In my opinion, which is a bit different, I most definitely DO think that it is nefarious. In addition, I think that is the ONLY way to deal with these people. Giving them the benefit of the doubt is not the way to go. If they do ANYTHING like this, as they have been doing more and more across a wide spectrum of activities, it should be a GIGANTIC red flag. In my opinion, it is all about money alright, as he says; but also about power. By power, it is political, and politics is always going to be a big troublemaker with a capital "T".

He is right that nobody is talking about this. That is, in the political sphere. It should be one of those 80% issues that everybody would agree with, and a sure way to victory, but for some strange reason, the GOP isn't much interested in it. Therefore, for the GOP to get control again solves NOTHING. That is, it solves NOTHING, if you get the same kind of people running things that you already have now. There is NO DIFFERENCE in the parties right now. They are all-in on the idea that they can take a giant crap on everybody and make you call it perfume. They will get away with that too, because too many people out there have got their heads jammed straight up their backsides. Know what I mean Vern?

Comradeskies, all you've got to lose is your chains.
