Atlas Shrugged Preview

This movie is available on Tubi for free... Now, why did I like this scene back then? I forgot.

But that is not why I write today... Funny how things change. If I could remember why I liked the scene, maybe I'd discover that it had changed. Anyway, the reason I want to write about the movie again was that something struck me about it. It was the parallels with what happened with the COVID "vaccine".

As for the scene, Hank Rearden gave his wife a gift that she didn't seem to like. It was made of a metal that he created. She preferred something else, as she swapped out her gift for something else later on in the movie. But I digress.

Perhaps the point is value. His wife didn't value his metal because nobody else seemed to. But here's the parallel that I mentioned. Nobody seemed to care if the metal was any good or not. So it wasn't valued.

In the real world, the COVID "vaccine" was preferred even though it didn't work. Do you see the parallel? The parallel is that nobody cared if the "vaccine" was any good or not. They didn't seem to care that Ivermectin could have been better, like Rearden's steel. Strange how that worked, eh?

In that book, nobody cares about what works or not. So the society collapses because of the thing that is valued isn't really the best thing, and nobody cares that it isn't the best thing.

Actually, Ayn Rand believed that the gift was more valuable because it came from his MIND. That was her point. Rearden's wife didn't value her husband's MIND.

But I still don't remember why I liked the scene.
