Hudspeth County, Texas

Interesting facts about the place:

It covers 4572 square miles, larger than the states of  Delaware and Rhode Island, and very close in size to Connecticut.  It's population is less than 1 per square mile, which is less than the average for the state of Alaska.  The county was organized in 1917 as a separate entity from El Paso.  The county's per capita income is one of the lowest in the United States, according to the Wikipedia.  There are 4 school districts.  Interesting to note that the high school that I graduated from has more students than this entire county.  Even more striking is that the population of that high school may have exceeded the entire population of Hudspeth county.

Why would I go there?  Land's cheap there.  You sure don't go there to make money.  Neither am I.
