State of the Union Speech

I missed the show.  Always do.  There's plenty of talk about it, so I googled it up and read through it.

One thing that strikes me is how political it is.  Sure, why not?  He's a politician.  Still, there's no real problem solving there.  People watching this are probably going "ooh" and "ah" like it is the greatest stuff ever.

He's the Messiah again and his followers are eating it up.

I checked out the Kitco commentary page just prior to reading his speech.  Millions of Americans are living paycheck to paycheck.  It's not so rosy scenario out there as he claims.

Where it isn't so rosy scenario, he acknowledges it with a request to spend more money.  As if spending the money will solve everything.  Where to get the money?  Why, higher taxes of course.

If the GOP doesn't give him what he wants, it's all their fault.  It's already set up.  Everything that happens that's bad isn't his fault.  Great politics maybe, but not so good policy.
