How to reach people

This is what you would call a good question.

After 4 plus years of writing this blog, it appears to be a problem that I cannot solve.  But I am still looking for answers.

Perhaps if you would start with basic propositions, and then work from there.  It would proceed in the same way as a mathematical proof.  You need certain axioms to start, and then the theorems fall into place one-by-one.

One of the Basic Concepts ( or propositions, if you will ) is humor.  It may not be the most important one, but it is one that can stop a lot of bad stuff.  Certainly, it can neutralize bad feelings.  Nothing like laughter to chipper you up some.

I've also pushed the concept of non-conflict, but that is a losing battle.  It appears that people tend to favor the clashing of ideas, and on a bigger scale, the clash of civilizations.  I've tended to avoid this because I don't think conflict solves problems.  All it does is remove one power source for another, if such be the case.  However, the removal of conflict is not the way it all works.  That concept doesn't seem to generate much interest at all.  Maybe it is seen as too boring.  Others may see it as too soft and "kumbaya".

The third Basic Concept has been to think for yourself.  This is encoded as not trusting conventional wisdom.  It is another axiom that doesn't seem to work in the real world.  The vast majority of people do not think at all, and would prefer that someone else do their thinking for them.  All that has to be done in controlling people is to control the messaging that they hear.  Nobody seems to be willing to take the time to find out both sides of an issue and research it until a conclusion can be found that is based on solid evidence and reasoning.  All this takes time and effort, which is always in short supply.

The fourth concept was scarcity versus abundance.  This goes hand-in-hand with conflict resolution above, because once the basic needs are met, there is little reason for conflict.  This too doesn't seem to work, because those at the top REQUIRE that there be scarcity so that they can control people through the strategic use of it.  Got that?

The fifth one, the one in which I haven't spent much time with, is the concept of morality.  Now, this concept really does fit in, because that is how people really work.  It has the virtue of efficiency, as it doesn't require much thinking, as I have noted above.  It sidesteps the issue of scarcity, as people are willing to suffer when the suffering isn't necessary, as abundance is within reach.  It promotes conflict, because it enables people to be neatly divided into warring camps, and discourages people from thinking for themselves, thus becoming pawns for the powers-that-be.

What I am suggesting is a higher order of being, but that seems to be beyond us all.  Well, you will have to get on the level of the usual non-thinking Neaderthal and move with the flow and get with the program, it seems.  Warfare seems to be the lot of the human race.  We should all gather ourselves into armies and begin slaughtering each other because finding solutions for our problems is just too doggone hard.
