John Kutsch on Stalled Thorium Nuclear Research

I like this video. Gordon McDowell explains towards the end of this video how we are in the 50's when it comes to energy. He contrasts it to computing technology, which has improved dramatically during that period to now.  However, nuclear technology really hasn't improved that much. We may as well be still in the 50's.

Clearly something needs to change, but why isn't that happening?

Perhaps the computer revolution has been so dazzling that folks think that this is representative of all technology, but nuclear technology has been stuck in a relatively backwards state.
