The Democrats’ GM Fiction

It's the winning issue for Romney.

The Democrats have decided to run in 2012 as the bailout party. It is an odd choice — the 2008–09 bailouts were deeply unpopular among the general public, and even their backers were notably conflicted about the precedent being set and the ensuing moral hazard.

The bailouts were not popular.  Not to mention that the GM bailout will not succeed in the long run.  The upcoming failure of the company will be proof positive that this presidency has been a failure.  It is also true that incompetent people don't know how or why they are incompetent.  That's why they keep talking it up as a success.  They really don't know why this was a failure.
