Colorado Supreme Court has been smoking something
12/30/23: Update of last posted entry of 12/22/23:
The basis of the claim that Trump can be removed from the ballot rests upon the insurrection narrative. It is clear that Trump's political enemies would like to disqualify him, but can they do it based upon the 14th Amendment as they are claiming?
I have a copy of the US Constitution, and the 14th Amendment to the same, Section 3, which states how someone can be disqualified for holding office under the United States. It doesn't appear to include the President of the United States!
Was this a goof? Nope. The President is still accountable under the Impeachment Authority of the Congress. Since Trump was already impeached, twice, and was found not guilty, then there can be no disqualification for same. Certainly, no state can unilaterally decide the issue in any case, as the same amendment states that Congress shall have that authority.
Someone hasn’t read Section 5 of the 14th Amendment. I guarantee SCOTUS has, though. pic.twitter.com/LAI1oH3O2k

If Christie felt that way ( see daily update as of 12/20/23), as indicated below, then why is he running against Trump? He is like the Democrats. It's all about Trump hatred. It's not about anything else. Why should Christie be President? Perhaps he should answer that kind of question.
The opposition to Trump from the Romney/Cheney/Bush wing of the GOP likes to call it a cult of personality. Then why do they make it solely about Trump's personality? If they were running on what is supposed to be conservative values, then what opposition do they have to Trump? Principles? What principles are involved? Perhaps they'd like to answer that question.

Daily Update #4), 2:30 pm local time
Why pursue an avenue that is so likely to be rejected by the Supreme Court? Are the Democrats trying to make an issue out of the Court? They already have. This will just add to the list. Presidential politics often entails making an issue of the courts because the POTUS appoints Supreme Court justices.
If the Democrats can hang on to power, they'll try packing the courts. They may think that putting this kind of pressure on the court would get them to bend to their will, or they'll go to their people ( and a lot of voter chicanery) to try to get their will imposed.
This is shaping up to be a critical year in the history of the Republic.

Daily Update #3), 12:54 pm local time
The general reaction to this is pretty negative. Only partisan Democrats approve of this move. There are some who predict a 9-0 Scotus decision against it. The main problem is the assertion that it is self-executing. This would render a good part of our Constitution to be null and void.
Furthermore, the same amendment says something quite different regarding equality before the law. Therefore, an argument could be made using the 14th Amendment itself that would show that the intent was not to make it "self-executing". How then could "equality before the law" be determined if there were "self-executing" laws? What would prevent some arbitrary finding by some partisan entity to completely violate anybody's rights? This decision should be a slam-dunk.

Colorado SoS says that if the 14th Amendment doesn't apply, "it's a get out of jail free card". Well, at least they could wait until an IMPARTIAL jury decided the matter first. Even the Democrats are split on the issue. There is no chance that a fair trial would convict, so she's WRONG.

- It's partisanship in the courtroom, a 4-3 decision,
- It's based upon the faulty premise of an insurrection, and
- The Colorado Supreme Nutcase Court will stay its own decision if Trump appeals to Scotus
"This is all silly Lawfare."
Sundance adds that the Bushies have Nazi roots in Colorado. Whoa! If this is so, (as the link is to an article dating back to the time of George W. Bush's re-election campaign), one should ask why the Democrats are making an alliance with the Bush-Cheney faction in order to stop Trump?

Rocky Mountain High, ala John Denver? High on something, I'd think. Evidence continues to pour in that the J6th riot (aka "Insurrection") was a Democrat set up. But this is their only strategy to keep the government in the hands of these wack jobs. They don't have anything to run on, so this is the only thing that they can do.
The insurrection narrative should never have had any legs to begin with. It was obvious to me from the start. Who has something to gain from this fake narrative? That fakery invokes that same old "cui bono" question---who benefits? Maybe Biden's commie masters in Bejing. The Dems have been pulling these same kind of dirty tricks since Trump came down the escalator in 2015. This ruling comes in just in time for the primary season.
Are things really this bad in Colorado? Are the people there that brainwashed, or what are they smoking in Colorado? Is marijuana legal there? Marijuana can make you paranoid, you know. Can they not see through this magic smoke and pixie dust? When will all the lies finally end, and maybe the Democrats could at least try to run on something with substance. This Trump hysteria is all they've got.

Geo-political change for Saudi Arabia?
This one snuck up on me, for I was under the impression that the oil shale production was under attack from this Administration. Indeed, it had that appearance, but the reality may be different. Oil production has continued to increase, which is what snuck up on me.
Consequently, the way things appear to be aren't necessarily the way the really are. However, keep in mind that the oil barons of the Middle East are funding American colleges and universities. Hence, the anti-Israeli ( or anti-Semitic ) nature of their teachings have begun to affect our culture on a broad front. These "demonstrators" are attacking Christmas, and defending the barbarism of Hamas. This cannot be tolerated, for it ushers in something heretofore alien to our culture and traditions.
The Biden Administration has made the Mohammedans a protected class. They are definitely not "oppressed", nor have they been historically wronged. Indeed, they are in the wrong in so many ways. They have taken hostages and made war on non-combatants. Clearly this is against the Geneva Convention, and is in itself a war crime. They are making false accusations against the Israelis of making genocide, while they intend genocide against the Jewish state. They are unequivocally in the wrong, but this administration is making them a protected class. Why?

This song came out in the mid-eighties, right in the middle of the "evil" Reagan-Bush Era. So, I "ax" the question: Is it a song of the left, or the song of the "right"?
It has some words that sounds lefty, but also has words that sound "righty". For instance, there's a reference to guns, and another to God. These sound "righty". But there's a reference against authority, which sounds lefty.
Then there's a reference to family, which also sounds "righty".
Whether it was intended to be lefty or "righty", it is definitely pro-freedom. Ultimately, that is what it is all about. Either you are enthralled to the all-powerful, or you are free. As long as the conservative faction remains true to freedom and truth, it is on the "right side of history". The left isn't. They are committed to evil, and they know it. That's why they have to lie, and keep the truth from the people. It is not for the good of all that they act in secret. They act in secret in order to conceal their evil plans for us all. Therefore, they know what the truth is, and it isn't to set you free. Quite the contrary.

Been going at it pretty hard for several weeks now. That is, with respect to the address change. A few things I'm finding out along the way. The main thing is that it is hard to overcome inertia. Take a big ocean going oil tanker. It takes MILES to get that thing to a stop once it gets going. Once it gets going, it's got that inertia thing going for it. It's really hard to get things turned around and headed in a different direction.
I can make the move out now, if it were possible to move into the new place. But there's still time before that happens. In the meantime, I'll still keep prepping. Yes, I could make the move now, but now it is a matter of completing the move. This means a crap load of things on the to-do list.
The second thing is my capacity for physical labor has diminished a lot. If I am not careful, I will hurt myself. In fact, I've strained myself a bit already. I guess I don't know but one thing and that is to go full tilt. It may take awhile for me to get moving, but when I do, I really don't want to mess around.
There has been a lot of changes lately. That's another thing. You could get out of whack pretty easily when things are in a state of flux. The changes mean things aren't in their usual places. I'm trying to keep that at a minimum. I like an orderly situation, if you please.
That's all for now on this subject.
end update, the original post follows directly below:
It's a bifurcated lifestyle right now in these parts. Part of the day is devoted to living, the other to this blog. I'd like to keep the blog, and that's why I keep writing something every day. Until nobody comes, that is. What's the point if nobody comes? Somebody comes here, or is it a bot? Either way, it could be bad. I don't know people very well, and who knows about the bots? Not exactly a Field of Dreams. If you write it, they may not come.
I'm tearing down a lot of work over the last several years. The trailer faced the west and caught the sun in summer. That can get mighty hot in these parts. So I built some shade to protect against the ferocious sun. It helped me get by all these several years, but it is now time to go. But not out West, old man.
I want to take the trailer with me to my next address, but that might not be possible. I have to see if it is still road worthy. Therefore, all this junk has to be torn down. It is junk by now. A lot of the wood is rotting from exposure to the elements. Some of it is still in fairly good shape. The build up of shading is preventing me from determining if there's been any damage to the trailer that might prevent it from being usable for habitation going forward. But first, it must be road worthy.
The new place is not far. So the trailer only needs to make a short trip. A 500 mile trip is out of the question right now.
Things are a bit up in the air, so to speak. Decisions have to made, maybe some hard decisions. Decisions that I may not want to make. But time waits for nobody.
Funny thing about how people are. I think I write stuff that should be interesting, but for some reason, it isn't. I think people have their heads up thir asses. But I don't want to be that way. Whatever the world does is what the world does. I just have to do what I have to do.
I want to keep the blog, but that might be something that has to go. A lot of time gets spent here. If it doesn't result in anything, then what's the point?
Tails Linux USB with Persistence
A short blurb about this experiment. I've had some trouble with updating it. For some reason, the update won't work. It will download, but during the download, it failed. That's happened twice now.
Not only that, the thing is highly sensitive to touching. I barely touched it a couple times, and it crashed. The last crash was so bad, that I'm going to have do another install. Since time is short, I'll defer on that one until such time as is needed is available.
Using the system isn't too bad, but does require some adjustments. Even with "persistence", the thing doesn't seem to allow data to be accessible. But I haven't used it that much. Must be a trick to it. Even with that, it is definitely usable. Just keep in mind that nothing survives upon exit. Treat it that way, and adjust, it will be alright.

12/28/23: Update to yesterday's post:
You may have heard of the website called Political Wire. It's authored by one Taegan Goddard. Looking a bit at this fellow would give the appearance that is a reliable source of information. Not to knock this Goddard fellow, but one would want to give pause to the credentials he claims. Sure, he was educated at the "best" institutions, and has accolades about being the "best" political site out there. One should ask, especially these days, about how much weight these credentials should actually have.
You've got the Harvard scandal at the moment, with respect to the DEI political initiatives. Evidently, credentials can be obtained that way, but how useful would the credentials be if that system has been corrupted?
One story they had on this website was about the "insurrection" narrative that the "credentialed" press keeps pushing out there. The way the comments went on that site would indicate that the readers are primarily of the opinion that it was an insurrection. Never mind the evidence that is accumulating that it wasn't not only not an insurrection, but could have been a set up in order to install Biden as POTUS, while at the same time, disqualifying Trump from ever holding office again.
The facts have been suppressed for three years. The House Select committee held a Star Chamber, and the public was not convinced. However, the matter rages on. Of course, the Colorado Supreme Court weighed in and disqualified Trump on the basis of the alleged insurrection, which hasn't even been charged, must less reached a conviction.
Now the matter goes to the US Supreme Court. One has to wonder how far the rot has progressed. Especially in Washington DC. Can the SCOTUS come up with the correct decision, or will it fumble the issue yet again? If the Court had intervened in the election controversy itself, perhaps much of this could have been avoided. The situation is not entirely encouraging.

Obviously the article below is a political hit, and it is a lie. The Dems cannot win an honest campaign.
Normally I don't write responses to this stuff, but it does show how people can be turned against the guy for supposedly doing stuff that he doesn't do. There is plenty of news articles out that the probably rate this article as having some sort of factual basis to it. The Democrats want to run this campaign directly on anti-Trump propaganda. Crash near Cleburne Texas claims six lives
12/28/23: Update to post of 12/26/23:
No links are available on this update, as I am writing from memory. A perusal of Robert Ringer's link site ( which can be found on the left sidebar) provides the source of information that I'm relating from memory. As mentioned in the original post, it was hard to pin down the exact location of the crash. It turns out that my best guess was correct.
Speculation about the cause of the accident is just that. To me, it is a rather odd situation. If I am not mistaken, this was a head on collision between a pickup truck and a minivan full of people. Nobody in the pickup died, but almost everybody in the van died--maybe one survivor.
The thing that is strange is that it was a head on collision, but the vehicles should not have been in a position for this to have occurred. Which tells me that somebody was executing a maneuver that wasn't exactly kosher. I'm guessing the pickup truck tried to head in the direction that the minivan was coming from. In order to do this, the pickup truck would have had to turn widely left, which would not have been a very good idea. Vision of traffic coming from that direction would have been impaired. Without further information, it would be too speculative to go any further than this.
end update, the original post is directly below:
This caught my eye since I've traveled on this stretch of highway on the way to Irving Texas.
Details are sketchy, so I had to do a little digging. It was necessary to go to Google maps in order to get some accurate information about the location. This article says about 10 miles Southwest of Cleburne on Highway 67, near farm rd 1234. It appears to be at a merge point, so one could speculate as that could be the cause of the accident. It was said to be head on, which is strange.
There's not many more details at this time. I guess if I go that way again in the future, this story will come to mind.

The 4th Amendment in the Bill of Rights might as well not exist. Yet they still call this the "Free World". Yeah, right. If you try to evade it, like this video shows you, you may get accused of hiding something! If the 4th Amendment means anything, is that the government has the burden of proving a NEED for any "searches and seizures", and to provide a warrant enabling for such. All of that has been taken away.

Gemini 8 historical video
Here's another historical video-- this time of Gemini 8, which flew in 1966. The mission was to practice techniques necessary for the lunar mission, which was to occur by the end of the decade.
There was an emergency onboard, as the Gemini capsule went into an out of control spin while in orbit. Control over the spacecraft had to be given back to the astronauts, who managed to get it back under control. An emergency re-entry was achieved, and the situation ended safely.
The point is that success doesn't occur automatically. Things can and do go wrong.
Apollo 4 & 6: First Saturn V Test Flights - Historical Footage, 1967, A-type missions, CSM, NASA
Historical video of the Apollo Era launches and results. This occurred in 1968. There were two more launches in 1968 besides the ones shown here. Apollo 7 went into Earth orbit with a manned crew. The two launches here were unmanned. Of course, Apollo 8 went to the moon, but did not land. Three astronauts circled the moon and came back for a safe splashdown into the Pacific Ocean.
My recollection of this at the time was of surprise. It was early in 1967 that Apollo 1 had the disastrous fire onboard, which killed the three astronauts, while testing on the ground. It seemed at the time that the goal of landing on the moon and returning safely to Earth was not likely to be achieved before the decade was out, as Kennedy had set. But the spectacular success of Apollo 8 brought the goal within reach as the last year of the decade was to begin.
The rest, as they say, is history.

The title is somewhat misleading once again. How does anyone know if it was a "major issue" or not? Missing tiles on a static fire is not that big of a deal. That isn't a realistic flight condition. The static fire is testing the engine, not the tiles.
As for the anomalous de-tanking of the booster, the reason given on the video may not be major issue either. If it has more to do with shaking out the glitches after testing new equipment, then this isn't necessarily a major issue. Still, there was useful information here, so I'm including it on an embed. It's the most recently uploaded update as of this writing.
Merry Christmas
12/25/23: Update to post of 12/16/23:
There was yet another version of "A Christmas Carol", this time starring none other than Sir Patrick Stewart. Of Star Trek fame? Yes, the very one. Somehow, I couldn't get over picturing him on the Holodeck of the Enterprise and giving this performance as none other than Capt Picard. An actor playing an actor playing a fictional character playing a fictional character. Layer upon layer of "humbug", as Scrooge might say.
Not to knock the performance. It was okay, I guess. Actors tend to get type cast into certain types of roles. This wasn't one of those roles. Perhaps it is a tribute to Stewart that it wasn't.
It was a morality play for a deeply immoral world. But that wouldn't be the popular thing to say here.
It is better to be alive than dead, as old Scrooge found out. I was thinking that old Scrooge really wasn't all that bad. If you want really tough customers, just look at the real world. Scrooge was a softie compared to the real people out there. One can go overboard with all the moralizing.
Right now, I'm thinking of the Vietnam War movie called "Full Metal Jacket". There was a scene where a Colonel spots Joker wearing a peace sign that didn't go with what he wrote on his helmet. The Colonel asks Joker whose side he was on and Joker said "our side". Then the Colonel responds with how the world really is, and I don't think Joker "got it". The phrase that stood out for me was "it's a hard boiled world, son". That's what I'm thinking now. Old Scrooge knew it too. He toughened himself against it, and soldiered on. But if there was a theme to the movie, it is perhaps this: you cannot always be a soldier. Scrooge got the message, and changed his tune.
There is a time for war and a time for peace. You have to know what time it is. Merry Christmas, ya'll.

There are more versions of "A Christmas Carol" than you can shake a stick at. There was one on Amazon Prime that I watched last night. It was something like a musical. It also looks like it was made for TV, as was about an hour long, and allowed for commercials in order to make it an even hour.
The striking thing about this version is that the singing was first rate. Basil Rathbone was in this version, and he played the role of Jacob Marley's ghost.
It thought it was pretty good, and worth watching.

Peter Santenello: He Found Freedom in the Desert
Couldn't help but make comparisons with my land out in West Texas. There's nothing quite like this that I noticed on my visits out to my property. When you encounter anyone at all, it is usually on a one to one basis. There's more plant life. I imagine that there's less rain out in Utah. But it was mentioned that it will flood there at times. So when it does rain, the water can be a problem. Same thing out in West Texas.
There's one town near my place, Sierra Blanca, that's about 17 miles away. It is like any small town. Van Horn is a bit further away. The Big City, El Paso, is about 100 miles away. No comparisons to this place in the video, but he did say something about a place 5 hours away. His place must be way out there in the middle of nowhere.
When he mentions that you're on your own, he isn't kidding. A cop out in West Texas MIGHT show up in an hour, or maybe not at all---same for him in Utah. If something happens, you have to handle it yourself. The guy in this video looks like he can handle a variety of situations. That's what you need in order to make it out in a place like that.
Ground News has its flaws. Don't let yourself be misled.
This American Thinker article is characterized on Ground News as "Far Right", and "low factuality". I would do a screenshot to show it in case that is taken down by Ground News in order to hide that fact.
The American Thinker article has a lengthy quote from the person mentioned in said article, which seems as factual as it gets. Furthermore, the said article also displays her bio, which would seem to be factual as well, unless it was fabricated. Note that the reason why it is "low factuality" on Ground News is not given on Ground News.
There may be some opinion mixed in with the said article, but it seems a reasonable conclusion from what is said. To have this taught in American schools seems nutty to me. To teach what she says is like funding your own homicide. Yep, it is like hiring someone to kill yourself because you won't commit suicide yourself. Now that is my opinion of what I just read, and anybody can call my opinion low factuality. But it is based upon high factuality and my own opinion of it. The same may be said of the said opinion article from American Thinker. The article was authored by Andrea Widburg.
Are "opinions" rated "left" or "right", and are the ratings based upon some objective standard? Opinions should be free ranging as possible. Whereas facts are either true or false, and if they are false, then they aren't facts.

Seen on CTH. Tucker Carlson beware
How does this all fit together? Julian Assange, Wikileaks, Hillary's emails, Seth Rich's Murder, and the Russian collusion fake story all seems to fit. You can even extrapolate that out to Trump's impeachments, the J6th fake insurrection narrative, and the current attempts to get Trump removed from the ballot, and jailed.
Not to mention that Twitter was bought out by Musk, and now Musk is an enemy of the state ( which isn't supposed to happen in the USA). Musk could also be jailed. Keep in mind that RFK Jr. hasn't received Secret Service protection. What's going on here?
Also, there are political prisioners in jail for J6th who still haven't gotten a fair trial. All of this connects up, in my opinion. Is it really too hot to handle? Well, if it doesn't get handled, then this country isn't going to be free much longer, and besides that, won't exist either. The real enemy is behind it all. The real enemy is afraid of the truth.

Speculative post about Stoke space and the Blue Origin Pedigree
12/22/23: Update to yesterday's post:
Trying to develop this idea a bit further with stuff out there that already exists. Let's take the Stoke space upper stage/lander and mate it with a Ramjet being developed by Hermeus. Hermeus is developing their hypersonic plane that can take off on a runway like any other plane. But what if the plane could glide back to the runway and land, while at the same time deliver a payload that could get to orbit?
The Hermeus engine could be mated with something that looks like an X-15, but is airbreathing like their hypersonic plane. It isn't what Hermeus is developing, it's just an idea. Let's say you could place the Stoke spacecraft on top of it, but instead of launching vertically, it is dropped like the X-15 was. But dropped from what? How about a Stratolaunch-like system?
Here's a recent development on Stratolaunch:
There could be a problem mating it with the Stratolaunch. You need ground clearance, and you need to mate it with the cross-member that connects each side of the Stratolaunch. To do this, make a cylindrical rocket shaped vehicle that holds the Hermeus' air breathing engines, and attach the Stoke space's 2nd stage to the top of it. There needs to be some fairing that keeps it aerodynamic, as it will go to hypersonic speeds.
Attach some fairing to it, and this will enable it to clear the ground on the Stratolaunch, while retaining aerodynamic features. The fairing can come off when it does its hot staging maneuver on stage separation for the Stoke Space module. In this configuration, the Stoke space vehicle would be a third stage. All three stages could return to the facility for re-use.
If all this could be managed, then the system would be launched off the ground with Stratolaunch, then it would be dropped at subsonic speed. The Hermeus engines will power up at subsonic speed, and then proceed to hypersonic speed. At hypersonic velocity, the Stoke Space module would execute a hot staging separation, while discarding the fairing. This would leave an aerodynamic enough vehicle that could return to the runway, as would Stratolaunch. Stoke space's vehicle would proceed to orbit, and then reenter and land as per its design.
end update:
The original post is below:
Stoke space is developing a spacecraft that looks a lot like the one depicted here.
Now what if this could be combined with the hypersonic vehicles discussed here.
How would that work? Let's say these hypersonic planes can reach Mach 10. Also, let's say that the hypersonic plane was used as a booster that could return to the launch site and land like a plane. Let's also say it would release the second stage in a "hot staging" separation like SpaceX is developing with its SuperHeavy booster. Also, let's say that this complexity could be managed. A tall order, but let's say it could be done.
The rocket equation can estimate a spacecraft's size assuming a 20 ton dry mass. The wet mass would come in at about 125 tons in order to reach orbit. It would land like SpaceX's first stage booster at the launch site for a fast turnaround. Bolt it onto the plane from the nose end. The design would include a way to stay aerodynamic after the stage sep. Yes, this is complex, but let's say it could be done.
The idea is to minimize the total mass taking off to space. It might mass out at less than 500 tons counting the hypersonic spaceplane booster. That's less the early versions of the Falcon 9, and would be fully reusable with a fast turnaround.
The Blue Origin Pedigree part was for a SSTO vehicle. This wouldn't be that, as the booster would separate at Mach 10. That would be part of the minimization part. Less fuel to carry means a smaller spacecraft that gets to orbit. The Blue Origin pedigree vehicle would need a lot of fuel to launch from the ground. The booster would help keep it as small as possible.
Let's also assume that a 20 ton empty weight would be sufficient for fuel tanks and a crew hab. Not asking for much am I?

Democrats must figure that they're saving Democracy by not letting the other party govern after an election loss. Funny how the GOP loves to accomodate them in this. Ten to one, the Deep State isn't going anywhere no matter who wins. Of course, the Dems will try to make it sound good that the bureaucrats are still there, but there isn't any accountability in DC at all---not even when the governing party loses. I'm quoting this in order to refer to it later... Perhaps in another post, or an update to this one. Emphasis added.
Quote:
Gamma rays are the highest-energy form of light. The movie shows the intensity of gamma rays with energies above 200 million electron volts detected by Fermi’s Large Area Telescope (LAT) between August 2008 and August 2022. For comparison, visible light has energies between 2 and 3 electron volts. Brighter colors mark the locations of more intense gamma-ray sources.

I think I've got some of this figured out. How to pour a slab without mixing the concrete, which is a video embed posted earlier. I want to have an open space that also will collect rainwater. That may be accomplished also, but needs a lot of concrete. It can be done, one section at a time.
The open space could be bounded on three sides with my cattle panel quonset prototype. It will be anchored to the dry slab. What goes inside the quonset? Some will be enclosed, which will provide additional floor space. Others will be open to the air, but with screens over them. These may be used as a type of greenhouse. It will shield it from the birds and the bugs, but rain will be able to get through.
The center area will be a rainwater collection area. Rainwater run off will be directed to it, and it can be pumped out into a tank for storage. The area covered should be sufficient to keep the crops well watered. ( I hope)
This plan isn't likely new. I've thought up quadrangles before. This new plan has a few new wrinkles. As with all my plans, it may not be implemented. But who knows what the future will bring?
The country I grew up in, and the country today
The country I grew up in put a man on the moon when I was still riding bicycles to school. That's compared to the country today, which hasn't been back to the moon since. Back then, rocket scientists used slide rules. Today they have powerful computers. Too bad today's scientists cannot match them, despite the advancement in computers. Maybe they could if science was still being taught in schools, as opposed to the fake science of today.
The country I grew up in built virtually all of its own automobiles. That's compared to the country today, which may not be making cars for much longer. The most successful entrepreneur in the automotive sphere in this country is Elon Musk, who is now being targeted for destruction. His offense is to oppose a leader who claims to be democratic. We fought a Cold War to stop what this administration is doing routinely. This was inconceivable in this country when I was a kid.
The country I grew up in had several plane manufacturers. Boeing was one of them. Boeing today is a shadow of its former self, and can't seem to make new planes anymore. Perhaps they can managed a fleet of planes, but as far as innovation, this company might as well be dead. It will be dead for sure within a generation. Boeing was just one of many airplane manufacturers, mind you. The others appear to have gone missing. This appears to be an unstoppable trend.
The country I grew up in was one in which most people could own their own home. Don't look now, but the country today does not look promising for the American dream for much longer either. Interest rates are difficult to service now, while inflation isn't likely to be tamed even at these rates. It won't be much longer when there will be massive defaults on home loans. That's what happened in 2008, and will likely happen again. You cannot borrow your way into prosperity, but the current crop of rulers seem to believe that's possible to create wealth out of thin air. They learned nothing from the Great Recession.
The country I grew up in had an agricultural sector that produced more than what could be consumed. The country today will likely not be able to feed itself in the near future. You will be told to eat bugs because we cannot grow cattle anymore for our beef. Say goodbye to McDonalds, unless they want to make you a McBug burger. All of this in the name of preserving the environment, which appears to be going to hell anyway. At least according to them.
The country I grew up in had a medical establishment second to none. The country today makes billions off of a vaccine that doesn't even work. Even worse, the so-called vaccine caused more harm than good. That's what so-called Progressives call "compassion".
The country I grew up in guarded its borders. The country today has no border to speak of, and will cease to be a country soon. The rulers today seem to think that is a strength, but history has shown otherwise. The Roman Empire fell because it could no longer guard its own borders. Today's so called leaders would prefer to guard somebody else's border.
The country I grew up in had free elections, and a free press. The country today, illegals get a free ride, but no more free elections for us. You will vote Democrat, or you will be punished. It looks more and more like the old Soviet Union.
The country I grew up in was the greatest country on Earth. The country I die in may not even exist for much longer. There are way too many people who seem content with that. But it seems a shame to me. The kids today don't look to the future with hope and expectation. There seems to be little reason for that, as the so called leadership seem content with driving the country straight into oblivion. If you complain about it, you are called an extremist. If protest it, you are called an insurrectionist. The destroyers are called good, and the builders are called evil. Little wonder that things are the way they are. Nothing lasts forever, and that seems to be true the "good ol'" USA too.

Biden Administration and the Media are gas lighting us about inflation
From InfoWars website. Oooh! EEEEvil! The article is just an opinion about how inflation is caused by monetary policy. You can read a book written by the late Milton Friedman and get the real skinny on what causes inflation. This business about private actors causing inflation is the same thing they said in the 70's when inflation was roaring with inflation rates in the double digits.
The death of conservative economics of the Reagan Administration, has been greatly exaggerated. The rebirth of Keynesian economics is producing the same ill effects as it did in the 70's. That's what Reagonomics cured. Bidenomics is what Jimmy Carter was attempting. History may not repeat, but it certainly seems to be rhyming.

Something of a shocker. It explains a few things. The only people who are going to be around are the ones who are destroying this country. Off-grid project update, 12/19/23
Something of a mid-course correction.
There hasn't been many posts on this subject lately. The fact of the matter is that a re-evaluation has been underway for quite a while, and other priorities have pushed their way to the forefront. The off-grid project is still on, but it is more of an aspirational thing than a real thing. Always has been that way, but for awhile there, it was the highest priority. I thought of it as sooner rather than later, and now it may be later rather than sooner. Or perhaps the possibility of not at all. It kinda depends on developments.
The weakness of that plan has always been pretty obvious to everyone but me. Consequently, I was out there on an island, doing my thing. This was okay as long as my health was good, and I could work to pay for my whims. But a few things have happened that brought the reality back, and this thing may turn out to be a bridge too far. Money has always been an issue, and has gotten worse since my disability forced me out of the work place.
The land that I bought is still there. I just haven't gone out there. My concern is that I cannot get the job done alone. So it has become an aspirational project as opposed to a high priority project. My efforts have dwindled, so it might be interpreted to mean that it is a failure, and that I've given up on it. But that is not so. It is merely going to shift into another mode for awhile.
That means that I will keep on doing what I've been doing. That is, to learn how to live off the land as I would have to do if I was actually out there. My approach is to simulate it for the time that I would have to actually go out there and do it. That day may never happen. But if it does, II will be about as prepared as you can get without having actually done it for real. Which means that I still don't know what the hell I am doing, but at least I am pointed in the right direction ( I hope).
If I come across some good fortune, things may change. But if that were to happen, maybe I get rid of the land, and move on to other things.
It's more of a bug out joint than anything else right now. It's not even a good bug out joint yet. Might not ever get to being a bug out joint because to get that far means a lot of work and money. Or there may never been the need, or there may never be the resources. It is something of a conundrum.
I've learned a lot over the years. But this was a difficult project. More difficult than I figured on. Unfortunately, that seems to be a pattern with me.
The biggest success is in water management. I need to get a lot better at energy management. I need to get a lot better at making things. Finally, I need to be able to grow or find my own food. That is the least developed skill. If I had to live off the land in terms of getting food, I would be in trouble. Managing energy really means climate control. That summarizes some of skills, but not all.
To top it all off, there needs to be some security. You are on your own out there. It would be me against the elements. I think I could deal with that, but people are the biggest wild card. You never know what or who you may encounter out there.
So that is where it stands.
PS: If only I had an army like this! This video reminds me of a scene in the movie "Witness"--Starring Harrison Ford. There was a barn raising scene in which they built a barn in one day. ( or appeared to)

But I didn't know the details. Here's some details. Indeed, there's more details here than you'll likely be able to assimilate.
But sitting still is not an option. You've got to upgrade your security, and the "system" isn't doing that right now. Indeed, the system is getting worse all the time.
Tell you what, I'm tempted to junk my computers altogether. But to do so would be VERY INCONVENIENT. I'm going to call this the CONVENIENCE TRAP. They get you by offering you convenience. But in accepting this convenience, you are being suckered into a TRAP. An example would be the J6th protesters. They thought they could trust their environment, but they found out differently. DC is a hostile place for anybody not playing their games. Generalize this out to the society at large, in particular the world wide web, and you can see that the problem isn't localized in DC, but is EVERYWHERE ALL THE TIME. Chilling, isn't it?
The bearer of bad news isn't welcome, but wouldn't you prefer to know that something evil this way comes before it gets to you?
So here's the video... You might want a drink of an adult beverage.

Boston-- More than a feeling (remastered)
Lots of these videos on the YouTube. This one is a mash up that attempts to go with the song.
They do this because the pushback is too weak or not at all
12/17/23: Update to yesterday's post:
If everybody presumes guilt, and people are reduced to having to prove their innocence, then we don't have another one of our precious freedoms. That is, a presumption of innocence until proven guilty in an open court of law, with an honest judge, and an impartial jury. All of this is being swept away right in front of our very eyes.
So, is this guy guilty or innocent? There's pics, but can you authenticate the pics as being consistent to what they appear to be? In other words, could these be fake pics? The accused staffer said that he wouldn't disrespect the institution, but if the pics are accurate, then that's exactly what he did. Incidentally, in a book written in the nineties, there was an incident in which two dudes were engaged in sodomy in the White House of all places. Not to mention that Slick Willy got a BJ in the Oval Office. So is this guy credible? Indeed, are any of the people in DC credible anymore?
We have a responsibility to determine what actually happened. It is a serious offense if you take our institutions seriously. But if not, then what reason would anybody have for respecting these institutions if they won't respect themselves? Also, if they won't respect the people who sent them into public service?
This needs to be cleaned up. It is getting to be a matter of existential risk.
The only commitment we see in government these days is the commitment to lies and fraud. To keep these people in office is suicidal. As the liberals like to say, it isn't "sustainable". No culture can endure this in the long term. Yes, in the long term we are all dead. But these people seem to be in a hurry.

Lara Logan's Rest of the Story: Clay Higgins
Once again, it is hard to understand why the GOP has let this drag out this long. Also, that they keep funding a government that is completely out of control.
Clay Higgins seems like an okay guy. If they were all honest, there would be no problems.
J6th was a set up because it doesn't make sense otherwise. The insurrection narrative is just plain implausible. What conceivable reason would Trump and the MAGA people do something like that? It makes more sense for the Democrats to fake something and call it an insurrection. Then use it as an excuse to install Biden to the Presidency. I suspect that a good many GOP elected officials were at least acquiescent in the fraud that took place. If there's any conspiracy, there's a conspiracy against the truth.

AGW headache, #119
NOTE: Typing AGW in the search box on the left sidebar should get you a number of posts with "AGW" in the title.
The following tweet features an article by Clarice Feldman. The money quote here is that humans account for only 5% of all CO2 emissions. Volcanoes account for much of the the CO2 emissions.
So, let's recap a few points: 1) Humans don't cause the vast majority of CO2 emissions, only 5%
2) Amongst the human sources, developing countries contribute far more, and the amounts are increasing. Evidently white humans' CO2 emissions count more for some strange reason.
4)Even if humans were to replace all the oxygen with CO2, the nature of gasses prevent much, if not all of a greenhouse effect.
4) It is impossible anyway because of the Laws of Thermodynamics, in particular ENTROPY tends to the maximum. You'd have to stop or slow down ENTROPY in order for temperatures to rise, and the UNIVERSAL LAWS OF GASES would squelch that. That's because ENTROPY is far greater force in the universe than the configuration of the CO2 molecule. Even black holes, which are so powerful that they can prevent light from escaping, cannot stop ENTROPY.
AGW theory is bunk. It is scam.

The Dems are exploiting it in order to usher in a new type of government than the one that was intended by the Founders. The "Elites" mouth the traditions of America, but they speak insincerely. They do not honor America, nor its Founding documents. They are simply using these as cover for a type of soft coup.
The following link expounds a bit more about this rotten root of a rotten and dying tree. "DEI" should be renamed "DIE", for that is what they want for America.
The rot in academia is very deep-rooted

America’s Elites Are Not Fit for Purpose
This is a great read. Perhaps we will awake from the "woke" nightmare, and the system can be reformed.
Highlights: 1)"told me that when he read in the Harvard student newspaper that more than three-quarters of the university’s student population was taking anti-depressants,"
2) "What the world saw in that Congressional testimony was that these academic leaders live in the same country as their fellow Americans, but in different worlds."
3) "DEI (Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion) programs, both within universities and corporations. The name is perfectly Orwellian, for these programs are about the opposite of what they claim to support;"
4) "That imposition includes silencing dissenters"
5) "When you elevate leaders based not on actual accomplishment,"
6)"DEI is a political religion for these fanatics;"
Perhaps it is time to give them their hill (DEI) to die on. For if anything needed to die, it is this destruction of merit, and basic justice. An elitism that isn't cannot rule. As the article makes clear, the elites are unfit to rule.
With Trump leading Biden in the latest @WSJ poll as the Ivies reel from the inept performance of their deeply mediocre leaders, this is less the Rise of Trump than the moral and intellectual collapse of the American Establishment. Sad. Tragic, really. Scary. But real.

Why the Democrats deserve to lose
12/14/23: Update to post of 12/11/23
Twenty percent of Democrats want Trump jailed for life, exiled, or executed
If you want mercy, should you not show mercy? There is something strange going on the Democrat hive mind collective. There is a disconnect between what standards apply to others than what standards apply to themselves. They want all the protections afforded by the Bill of Rights when they are accused, but do not want those protections to apply to those with which they have a political disagreement. Actually, this is quite troublesome if it's true.
This was explained in the so-called elite post. Such a viewpoint destroys our social compact. There cannot be any peaceful society with such an attitude dominating it. It's either surrender, and be forced to comply with their irrational expectations and thought processes, or fight them.
Not all are like that. But most are already convinced of Trump's guilt. How then can he receive a fair trial? The answer is that he cannot. A closed mind is not one that's persuadable. The thought that they could be wrong does not enter their minds. That big-time trouble dead ahead if this doesn't change.

The original post resumes:
There is no doubt that Democrats support cancel culture and censorship. There is no doubt that Democrats are undermining the Bill of Rights.
But they whine about Trump's desire to correct their excesses. They are whipping up fear of Trump in order to escape any kind of accountability for their disregard of our social compact. They want to rig elections in their favor so that they'll always be in power. For the most part of the last 90 years since the beginning of the New Deal, the Democrats have dominated our culture. They are clinging to power, but the grip is loosening. They are desperate.
For this, the Democrats deserve to lose. It isn't a personal vendetta. It is the defense of our rights, and of our Republic. If the defense fails, freedom in this country will die.
The "company store" is now in Washington DC, and we may well owe our soul to it soon.
