Always do the unexpected. They should vote for a vulnerable Democrat. Why? Accountability. There's no accountability. How about trying to restore some accountability? If Boner won't do what he says he will do, get rid of him even if it means voting for a Democrat.
Let's see the Democrats try to explain why they are keeping a Speaker they criticize, and refusing to vote for a Democrat. And if a Democrat is elected Speaker? Let's see what happens and then act upon it later.
No way Boner stays, or this is just more posturing.
