Obligatory, 5.3.18

It's back to the strict data diet again, folks.  I'm using a lot of data again.  The situation is not as bad as before, but it is getting close to getting out of control.

Therefore, let us economize a bit on the bandwidth.  That means no more videos, and no more sites that pop up videos as an advertisement.  This is rather limiting, but that is the way she is.

This post may be rather rambling, because there are always things going on, and so I may put it all down here.

The thing I am attempting to accomplish at the moment is to establish the van as a sort of "home away from home".  In that role, I wish to use it as an aid to my work in Austin.  This would be helpful, since the drive to Austin is over an hour away.  Anything that may assist me in doing business there without that commute would be very much welcome.  So, at the time being, the van is parked in storage lot near Austin.  I will commute to the van, and use the van as a base for operations there.

That said, let me comment a bit further on other things happening around here.  I have lived in this trailer for over sixteen months now, and I have gotten to know a few people here.  Not that well, mind you.  I'm not the most sociable guy in the world.  Actually, I'm a bit of a hermit, so getting to know people is not my thing.

Something out of the usual happened yesterday, which I thought I might share here.  Seems like a guy here knows William Shatner.  You know, Captain Kirk.  I don't know why he told me this, to be honest with you people.  I don't think he was bs'ing me.  He may really know this actor/celebrity.  Maybe he was trying to impress me for some reason.

I don't like to write about people behind their backs. just mentioning this is all.  It is kinda weird actually.  Anyway, he says he knows another guy in Chicago, some radio personality named "Mancow".  You see what I mean?  Weird.

Anyway, "Mancow" put up a video ( at least I think it was him who did that ) of Shatner doing a "song", which struck me as something that was not all musical.  More weirdness.  Maybe this "Mancow" is into weirdness.

I won't put up the video, the link above will get you to that, if you are interested.

As for Shatner doing "music', it reminds of the "epic rap battles of history", with "Capt. Kirk" v. Christopher Columbus.

Actually, I am going to put this up in spite of the data diet, cuz it gives you an idea of the musicianship of Shatner.

All in day's "not working".
