I have a solution. Starve the Taliban out. (1) destroy their poppy fields totally. This will deprive the Taliban of the money needed for weapons. (2) Trade weapons for food, give me your AK47, I'll give you a quarter pounder and small fries. (3) after a determined period of time, enough time to pass out the burgers, make it a capital offense, punishable on the site of offfense, for anyone found with a weapon. It's time to get serious or get out.
Obama needs a way out. His base wants out and he needs his base. If he alienates his base any further he runs the risk of a primary challenge in 2012. This is all being orchestrated to help Obama politically, not the national security of the US.
Turns out that the "Taliban" negotiator was a fraud. This is a problem in more ways than one. Bribes were paid by the US to get on his good side. A scam master has collected millions for nothing at all. Not much to look forward to if we can't even identify the enemy.
