Recently, Texas Gov. Perry takes out an advertisement in California persuading businesses to relocate to Texas. That gets under Jerry Brown's skin a bit and he says it's only a fart. Whatever.
It's gotten some attention, as Instapundit links to a Walter Russell Mead post about a competition between the two states that bears watching. Actually, if it were a prize fight, it would be a knockout in the first round.
California is going bust. They've got some good things in California, but California would still be a part of Mexico if it weren't for Texas. Now, it looks like they want to rejoin Mexico. The people that want to make it instead of breaking it are coming to Texas. There's even a song about it.
