The Dark Side of the Web

The Wayback Machine was once available to check on web pages that are no longer on the web. A quick check on there does not bring up the the Machine. Perhaps I am rushing to report on this, and there's another way to access it, or it has been taken down.

Perhaps it is also me jumping to conclusions. The conclusion is that there's people out there who would like information to be scrubbed from the web. To me, that is evidence of the dark side of human nature. If the web is out there to make everything known, then it does seem rather evil to scrub some things, but not others. That is to say, whatever is out there is being recorded by SOMEBODY. However, only that SOMEBODY has it. This gives that SOMEBODY an advantage over everbody else, who doesn't have that access. This SOMEBODY could be rich and powerful, while all others are not.

Know what I mean, Vern?
