Governed, not ruled

There are a lot of non-compliant zones these days.  One that comes to mind is sanctuary cities that do not comply with Federal immigration laws.  Another one has come to the fore recently in response to the gun-control laws being passed in Virginia.

In order to keep the nation free, there will have to be some civil disobedience.  There does not seem to be any way around that fact.  If gun rights are to be preserved, then the new sanctuaries will have gained favor in more and more places.

However, peaceable people are more likely to obey a law than to defy it.  But when a law is clearly intended to do away with our rights, then the time for active disobedience has come.

This will entail some suffering.  There will be definite attempts at enforcement.  Such
attempts will make it more and more painful to rebel.  But the rebellion must continue.  If it fails, then the tyrants will have won.

It is preferable to have a law-abiding society as compared to a rebellious one.  But those who wish to impose gun-control are the very ones who are impeaching this President without just cause.  They have no respect for the law.  The law is to be applied discriminately to those that they do not favor.  Such a feature is a hallmark of tyranny.

The Democrats like to claim to be for the rule of law.  That is a lie.  They are for the
rule of Democrats.  If we are to remain free, their attempts at subjugation must be opposed with all the strength we can muster.

The impeachment articles should be dismissed with prejudice.  Nothing less will preserve our freedom.  If the Democrats succeed in defeating this President by using the impeachment process as a political hammer, then they will have politicized the Constitution itself.

The Constitution is supposed to treat everyone equally.  Evidently, the Democrats believe they are more equal than everyone else.  Consequently, they will have rendered freedom as a mere word on a piece of paper.  The Bill of Rights will have become a hollow and meaningless document.  The same will become true of the Constitution itself.  For what meaning has it when its words are not honored?

It is against the law to use the apparatus of government for political purposes, but that is what this impeachment is about.  Instead of winning an election, it should cause the
rule of Democrats to be ended for sufficient time so as to make it clear to them that the
people of this country will not be ruled.  But we can be governed by a just people.  The
question is not the "guilt" of the POTUS, but whether there are enough just people left
to make a just government in this country.  If such be the case, then the Democrats will
have succeeded in their coup.

The late Vince Bugliosi once said that you have to spoon-feed people in order to persuade them.  Perhaps Bugliosi knew that people tended to be lazy and would not secure the facts themselves.  But that is not good enough if you want to keep your freedom.  You have to secure the facts for yourselves.  If you do not, then there is always someone more cunning and determined there to rob you blind with his lies.  If you are too lazy, you will be overcome by these lies, and you will do what the liar and the thief wanted you to do.

Everything the Democrats said recently when I looked into this farce has been covered in the House and elsewhere.  They misrepresented it.  The defense can go over each of these lies one-by-one and refute them, but that was already done in the House.  Therefore, why do it all yet again?  They are hoping that you will be too lazy to secure these facts for yourselves.

Therefore, I will not dignify them with a response to their lies, except for this one
thing, that they were systematically lying about everything that has taken place these
last four years.  They are hoping that enough people will be lazy and believe them.  I won't because I have seen enough.

It is enough to establish a principle.  The principle is that they will lie to achieve
their ends.  They will lie even under oath.  That is enough for me.  I have seen enough.

I could go on and on.  If I were to be like Bugliosi said, I would spoon-feed all the
evidence once again.  Instead, I will direct you to what already exists in the record.  All
you have to do if you want the truth is to look for yourselves.  It is there.  If not,
then listen to the liars and be deceived.  You will not deserve any better.  You will not
have it nor freedom, nor democracy, nor rule of law.  For you will be unworthy of it.
