Obama is a right winger?

I don't know what to say about this one.  It's strange, even for Krugman.  He's saying that Obama is a rightie.

The left must have decided to pressure Obama to move more to the left.  I suppose calling Obama a rightie is supposed to be enough of an insult to get him to see the light.  When looked at like that, it seems more of a visceral argument than an argument based upon reason.  Get a grip.

I saw this story at Huffington yesterday and couldn't resist making a comment. We have to assume Obama is behind the Fed., I haven't heard otherwise. The Fed is pushing QE2 as national policy. I have not seen the right wing approve of that policy in any way. How would Krugman explain that? It's curious, that the progressives have gotten Obama to push more of their legislation than any president since Johnson and now they call him right wing. If Hugo Chavez approves of Obama, Krugman should, or is Krugman to the left of a socialist generalissimo?
