What to make of this tweet from Rasmussen?
Most voters think that Trump's use of social media in order to jump over the Washington press corps is bad for the country, it says. Why would that be? Are the Washington press corps a bunch of sacred cows that cannot ever be questioned nor challenged?
My view, which may be in the minority, is that this is a good thing for the GOP. Getting around the media is a good thing. Reagan often did it with Oval Office addresses. The media is partisan Democrat. Why can't the President get his message out? The media is hostile to the GOP, not just Trunp. This has been true for as long as I can remember.
Indeed, it seems as though there are too many in the ranks of the GOP that have an excessive deference to the media. Hopefully, Trump's use of Twitter can inspire the GOP to find ways to overcome media bias. Media bias is what's bad for the country.
