Just look at this poll: It shows McCain as very popular amongst Democrats. But that didn't win him the White House, now did it?
You would have to wonder why these GOP types suck up to Democrats, when they do not support the suck ups when the time comes. You also have to wonder why GOP primary challengers cannot remove unpopular suck ups like McCain. Maybe McCain's fakery is so good that it fools the GOP voters every time.
Let's face it, when you choose something, you choose the real thing over a fake. McCain is a fake Democrat. He is also a fake conservative, but that doesn't always matter in the GOP. But the GOP voters will vote for the real fake!
