Maybe a translation is in order.   Someone seeing this title may be intimidated by it.  "Autodidact" means self taught.  I don't mind relating that I had to look that up.

By the way, Barone's piece isn't an endorsement, but it isn't an anti endorsement either.

Apparently, where you learn is more important in our society than the lesson itself.

Kinda reminds me of the movie Goodfellas, which depicts the wise guys' ritual of making someone. Until they get made, they are nothing. Once they go through that ritual, they can do almost anything they want.

It's not what you know or even where you go to school. It's who you know.

If you are self taught, you must be lower than whale stuff.
