Democrats lament that they didn't vote for McCarthy as Speaker

10/29/23: Update to the post of 10/26/23

New Speaker is the Dems new bogeyman?

They need a bogeyman, so they made him a bogeyman... yawn. I read the nonsense in the Hill article. If the new Speaker is worth the moniker, he will crush them. The political left is wrong about everything, so they need to be crushed for the good of the country. All the new guy has to do is to tell the truth about them. Even Democrats will start to turn around. That is, if there are any decent ones left.

Further thought on the subject: By the way, it is largely a situation of their own making. It shouldn't be something that they would want to complain about. If it weren't for the Democrats voting as a block to oust McCarthy, then he'd still be there. How can they then claim he's a bogeyman, if he was of their own making? But they are, and they will, of course. That's why they are always wrong.

end update

They seem to really hate the new Speaker. They should have voted for McCarthy when they had the chance.

The Southern Poverty Law Center doesn't like him much either. Maybe because they advocate for as much poverty as they can get, and the New Guy is against poverty. Of course, they like to bash him for his Christianity and his pro-Democratic views. Not enough paganism in America already for these guys. Paganism and poverty sounds like a catchy campaign slogan. Not sure it is a winning move, but we'll see.
