Big Bird: A Metaphor for Obama

3/31/25:

What about this old post? It's over a dozen years old, and Obama is no longer in the White House. In fact, when I made this post back then, he was still in his first term. Good 'ol Romney was attempting to oppose him, but Romney did not succeed. Why not success? He was trying too hard to be like the guy he was running against, that he couldn't bring himself to honestly oppose him.

That's why the so-called "right" lost all the time. The same formula is taking place in Canada at the moment. The guy running against the Liberal party guy, isn't really opposing him. So the Liberals are likely to win in Canada because the so-called right winger refuses to be any different than the leftard that he is running against. Up until recently, the Liberals were very unpopular. What made them popular this time? By picking a fight with the Orange Man Bad. The Canadians are hopeless unless they find their way out of their bamboozlement. It is not any accident that people get bamboozled. It's the plan. Chew on that on, if you dare.

10/12/12:

Bruce Johnson, American Thinker

He makes a case that Obama is Big Bird.  Everybody seems to be Big Bird.  I was thinking that John McCain was Big Bird.  Especially with his attempts to become a member in good standing with the press is reminiscent of the video showed earlier on this blog.  It was Big Bird who made a caricature of himself in order to try to become a member of the Good Birds Club.  Like Big Bird in that video, McCain really does like to get the approval of the left, so much so that he earns the suspicion of conservatives because he plays up to the critics of conservatism.  So, if McCain is really conservative, why doesn't he just be happy with the way he is?

It all depends on how you take Big Bird, I guess.  He seemed to me to be a Big Wuss in that video.  All too often, Republicans like John McCain act like Big Bird did in that video.
