I think Lani Guinier wanted to give more than one vote to minorities. That's what made her controversial. It might be a good way to get certain voters to like it, but it should not have wide appeal. But we'll see. That was early 90's, and this is 30 years later. Bill Clinton masqueraded as a moderate, but his early days as President was not that. The GOP won the Congress for the first time in 40 plus years because of heavy liberalism. But perhaps things has changed after 30 years, eh?
